I recently purchased a go kart not sure what brand or what it’s called. Came with MCP brakes with the lines all cut, not sure how to get it back together? Do I just put new hose and bleed it and hope there’s no trash in there ? How should I go with this

Ive been driving rental karts a bit and I plan on driving more often.

My goal is to race my own kart in a year or something.

So I’m wondering what I should prioritize; getting clean laps and trying to improve lap time as much as possible. Or try to go to rental karting when there are as many people as possible on the track to improve my race craft?

So I am a 14 year old rental karting driver from Bulgaria and I really want a owner kart but I have a problem. My family doesn't want me to get a car because they don't want to spend money on tires, gas and transportation for the kart. They also don't have time because my parents are both lawyers and they are always busy. Pls help!

I have seen this kart for sale and think about buying it.

I know its old i know it is better to get a newer chassis and such but altough i love karting i dont know if i will be able to have enough time to spend on it in terms of teack days and such so i wanna try it woth a cheap kart. I am not going to do races or anything just normal training days and having a blast.

But now the main question: Does anyone recognize this frame? The owner says he cant find any brand markings and doesnt know what he needs. The engine on it is a RK1 150CC engine which has been used in the local k4a championship a few years ago but i cant find anything about this frame

First of all, thank you to everyone who shared feedback, technical corrections, kart references, and real karting experience in our previous discussion.

After reading the comments and studying the feedback, I wanted to ask the community a broader question — not only about kart models, but about the overall game experience.

We are developing Karting Core, and our goal is to make a karting game that feels enjoyable not only for general racing game players, but also for people who are directly connected to karting, follow karting, or have real experience with it.

I’m attaching a few new close-up screenshots of our current high-detail kart model. This one is closest to the top-performance shifter category and is helping us define the technical and visual level we want to reach.

Regarding real manufacturers, logos, liveries, and original kart designs: this is something we will continue working on. In cases where we receive permission from manufacturers, we would of course like to include original designs or official brand elements in the game.

Our goal is for the racing aesthetic to feel as close to real karting as possible. Where that is not possible, we will create original Karting Core designs with fictional branding, while keeping the technical characteristics and driving behavior grounded in real karting classes.

Now the main question:

What would you want to see in a modern karting game that is still in development?

I’m especially interested in what would make the game feel believable, fun, and satisfying for people who care about karting in real life.

Been racing the arrive and drive for a while and I used to race dirt ovals.

Anyone super familiar with the chassis and setups?

I will be racing Masters, 6ft, 240lbs (cutting at the moment)

So I recently went to NJMP in Millville for an arrive-and-drive session. There, they had your run-of-the-mill 4-stroke gas karts, which were way better and more fun than the crappy electric karts in Supercharged Edison. But when I went there, I also encountered a whole group of Rotax go-karts racing around, and it made me wonder: Is it possible to drive these for just a day or so? I don't have the time or the budget to own a go-kart. I own a Snell 2020-rated motorcycle helmet, and I'd love to get the chance to drive a two-stroke go-kart for a few minutes at last. I've driven go-karts multiple times, and I've played GT7 multiple times, so I do know my stuff. If there's anything else, please let me know.

I just bought a plain white helmet and i’m looking to add some kind of design or flair to it. Doesn’t have to be a totally custom design I’m fine with just customizing colours or if i like the original colours just keeping it as that. Located in the northeast US. Thank you!!

I tried at a K1 Speed track, because I've wanted to give karting a go but I'm a noob who doesn't know anyone into racing other than watching it on streaming. So, here I am all by my lonesome. Hello!

I am hoping to find people to talk with. Also, having lurked moar here for a good while before I tried karting, it seems people look down on rental electrics a lot? I don't really have much of an alternative, and I don't want to spend money buying until I know what's going on (or possibly ever because...karts seem *hella* pricey and I don't need a new expensive hobby :( alas).

Can people still learn real racing at indoor rental tracks? Any other non-kid beginners out there? I had a great time but was deeply embarrassed at people watching me figure out racing lines, hah!

I am writing this because i could not find any documentation or similar post on the internet.

This is a post is for any poor soul using the ALFANO DATA ANALYSIS PRO Video Sync feature.

Starting from Version 2.1.3 this feature no longer worked for me on Windows 11. Every time i tried importing or associating a video via the function "Associate a video with the session", i got an Error saying: "ffmpeg.exe is missing, please connect at internet and start again the software".

I tried installing ffmpeg seperately on Windows and setting up the Environment Variable Path to the bin folder of the ffmpeg installation but that did not work.

What either works is to use any Version before 2.1.4 (for example use 2.1.3) or to use the Non-Pro Version ALFANO DATA ANALYSIS which imitates the mobile app.

Also, the mobile app and the PRO Version need the video to be ideally 1280x720 Pixels and a maximum length of 30 minutes. This is only explained in the mobile app.

Also, if you want to synch a video with the telemetry, you need to ensure that the Video starts BEFORE Lap 1 of the data that you imported into ALFANO DATA ANALYSIS PRO. If you try to synch the video with a negative offset (the video starts after lap 1) it will simply not synch and revert to an offset of 0 (the video starts at the start of lap1).

Hope this helps someone mashing their head against this issue.

I'm a software engineer and a karting driver. Over the past year I've been building TrackTakTak, an Android telemetry app for karting and track days.

The app is already being used by real drivers and is stable enough for regular use. It records telemetry using your phone (with an external high-frequency GPS receiver), shows live lap delta while driving, and lets you analyze sessions in the browser with lap comparisons, racing lines, telemetry graphs and G-G diagrams.

I'm now preparing the public Google Play release.

Unfortunately, Google requires a closed testing phase before I can publish it, so I'm looking for a few more Android users who'd simply like to try the app.

You don't have to be a "tester" or write detailed reports. Just use the app during a normal karting session. If you notice something confusing, inaccurate, or think something could be improved, I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback.

I started like 2 days ago and i realized that sometimes oversteering feels faster, but i cant really tell if it actually does something or im just driving like a idiot.

Beginner karter here. I only attend Andretti and K1 for now but I plan to start outdoor karting soon. What do y’all think of this? Can it work for me at my indoor electric karting sessions?

Just tried karting for the first time, and I honestly didn't expect it to be this much fun. The speed, the close corners, and trying to find the racing line made it way more challenging than I imagined.

I built this 212 I bought a kit off eBay and now my engine smokes a lot and fouls spark plugs easily. What do I do? The kit said the company used the same kit on their engine, and I think the problem is the carb. Could I be right? I have the smallest jet they gave me in the carb, and it still smokes. I did the coil gap right; I set it to .25 I have no idea what the problem is. I also attached a vid.
