Announcement [Announcement] Community Rules & Posting Guidelines (Please Read Before Posting)

Hello everyone!

Thank you for being a part of this community. Over the past few days, we’ve noticed that many posts are getting removed or flagged by AutoMod due to rule violations. To avoid confusion and help everyone post correctly, here is a clear explanation of the subreddit rules.

📌 Important: Title Format Rule

Using a blunt “[Title]” in your post title is not allowed.
You must specify the type of post inside the brackets, such as:

  • [Source]
  • [Discussion]
  • [Appreciation]
  • [Help]
  • [Recommendation]

Posts with just “[Title]” will be removed.

1) Posts must be related to Isekai

As the subreddit name suggests, all posts must be related to Isekai.
Any unrelated content will be removed.

2) No Pornhwa / NSFW Content

This is a strictly SFW Isekai subreddit.

  • No pornhwa or pornographic content is allowed.
  • Any posts or questions related to pornhwa will be removed.

3) [ ] Title Guidelines (Very Important)

We follow a strict title format. Posts not following this will be removed.

➤ Isekai-specific posts

Include the Isekai name in brackets:
Example:
[That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime] The author has been cooking lately!

➤ Recommendations

Clearly mention “Recommendation” or “Suggestion”:
Example:
[Recommendation] Suggest me some action fantasy Isekai

➤ Appreciation posts

Must include “Appreciation” and mention the source:
Example:
[Appreciation] This panel is amazing!

If posting images/panels:

  • Mention the source in the caption or body
  • If multiple images, include all sources

➤ Help / Source finding

Must include “Help”, "Help Me Find"
Example:
[Help] Which isekai is this panel from?

This bracket system applies to all types of posts (Questions, General, etc.), so follow it properly.

4) Language Guidelines

  • Only English is allowed in posts
  • This ensures everyone can understand and participate

Posts not following this will be removed.

5) New Users / Karma Requirements

To post in the subreddit:

  • Users must have a minimum of 100 karma earned within this subreddit
  • General Reddit karma alone is not enough
  • Engage in comments and discussions within the community to earn this karma

Additional requirements:

  • Accounts must be at least 1 month old

Once you meet these requirements, you’re free to post.

6) Title Content Guidelines (Avoid Spoilers & Low-Quality Titles)

Do NOT put full details or spoilers in the title.
Use the title only as a short heading and explain in the body.

✅ Correct:
[Help] Can you help me find this isekai?

❌ Incorrect:
[Help] Help me find this isekai where the MC…

✅ Correct:
[That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime] What do you think about this chapter?

❌ Incorrect:
[That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime] Why did Mc killed him......

This rule helps:

  • Prevent spoilers
  • Maintain quality discussions

⚠️ Final Note

Please follow all rules carefully while posting.
Failure to follow them may result in post removal.

Thank you for helping keep the community clean and enjoyable!

Question [help] Isekai about the mc finding out his waifus are racist pos.

Upvotes

The Isekai itself was super generic , I might remember some details wrong as I don't even remember it's name. The guy is isekaied, maybe reborn, not sure , he gains a princess a waifu another waifus tries to kill him, but he is op and forgives her , so she becomes howls waifu too.

It has some generic arcs,.probably has slavery, because there comes what I remember , he somehow saves a beats girl and she is surprised a human saved her , when he asks she says because racism.then he finally notices that most slaves ( he was fine with slavery) are actually beast people. Then he confronts his waifus about what they think about beast people and they say " yeah fuck them, inferior race" and he seems to be just a bit dissapointed.

I want to see if the translation continued, or at least read it from the start to see if it had more clues to the racism.

Discussion [Hero Slavery] In Isekai: Any Opinions On Its Presentation?

Upvotes

Hero Summoning is a common trope, which is an example where Hero Slavery is well represented.

Do you have any opinions based on the showing of Slavery, when the slave is specifically the hero?

Question [Help] Isekai about chef mc finding out about cannibalistic royalty.

I only really saw it from a reddit comment years ago, I didn't dare check it. According to that comment. It was a mc who was isekaid, become a chef. And there's this girl character who is a descendent of some ancient previous isekai hero.

Now here's the thing. For some reason the royalty there developed a culture and tradition for the royalty to eat the hero's descendents (Idk if they give powers or something). The hero descendent thinks its her purpose. The mc relented and cooked her for the royalty instead of breaking the likely manipulated evil tradition.

That's all the information I recall from a reddit comment talking about it years ago. it's been on my mind for years.

Discussion [The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System] does it deserve the absurd animation??

Post image
347 Upvotes

For me (just my opinion) this anime is funny asf, (not because it has comedy but because of its animation) not tryna hate on it, I read the Manga 1 week ago, and all I can say is that I loved it, the Mc isn't ridiculous overpowered, it has a good plot/story , he doesn't have a harem, and he ain't dense/dumbass, and i can actually relate to him being a gamer, I rate the manga 10/10 and I do believe it deserve this level of animation (cause in the manga fight scenes are goated) what's your thoughts about the anime? (I've only seen 3 episodes lol)

Only thing I don't like about the anime is the pacing, but it's alright I'm a patient person 🥹,

Fan Creations [Help] Where To Post My Own Isekai Story?

Been writing a draft of a Isekai story for awhile now and was wondering where is a good place to post it once I've proofread and adjusted it.

For anyone curious, the title is Forever In Another World.

the story is about a man who lived in a fantasy isekai for over 1000 years and he is dealing with the deepest depression of his life struggling to exist, then the plot is people slowly attempt to pull him out of his depression and remind him that life is worth living.

Question [Help] Need help looking for an isekai manga

The MC i believe reincarnated in a world where the gender roles are reversed. The women are stronger and treat men as inferior/slaves.

The mc had a power, the reincarnation god gave him, that makes women "feel good" when he touches them

I kinda dropped it when a maid brought him to a rich spoiled princess, and he refused to lick her shoes. The maid had to bail him out.

Dropped it because I was disgusted, but now I'm bored and wanna read it again.

Tags probably were: isekai, gender bender, fantasy, harem, ecchi

Discussion [Appreciation/What if Takao Abo (Season 1’s director) had stayed to direct all of The Rising of the Shield Hero? Would the anime be a global phenomenon today?]

Think about it. Under Takao Abo's direction, Season 1 gave us some of the most emotionally devastating moments in modern isekai — Naofumi's betrayal, the raw rage of the Cursed Shield, the haunting atmosphere of pure despair mixed with fragile hope. Abo understood the assignment: a dark, psychological character drama wrapped in fantasy armor.

Now imagine that same visionary staying at the helm for Season 2 and beyond.

· Would the Spirit Turtle arc finally get the love it deserves from anime-only fans?
· Would the Rage Shield in Season 2 feel even more terrifying and emotionally charged than Season 1's version?
· Would the new world and Kizuna's crew actually feel intriguing and alive instead of rushed and forgettable?
· Could Season 2 have been superior to Season 1 in terms of depth, tone, and emotional impact — maybe even darker?

And here's the big one: would The Rising of the Shield Hero have stayed at the top of the isekai throne, rivaling Mushoku Tensei and Re:Zero in popularity and respect, instead of fading after the Season 2 disappointment?

Personally, I believe Abo's vision, combined with real production time and a committed team, could have turned this series into an all-time dark fantasy classic. But I want to hear YOUR take.

Would Takao Abo staying have saved this franchise? Would Season 2 have surpassed Season 1 under his direction? Let me know your honest thoughts in the comments — I'm genuinely curious to see what the fandom thinks.

Discussion [Mushoku Tensei] Rudeus isn't written as a adult in a child's body he is written as a child with memories from an adult. Spoiler

I have seen this discourse float around the anime community since Jobless reincarnation came out and to me both sides completely miss understand the story.

On one end people who don't like the show complain about the fact that rudeus is a grown man going after and grooming children.

On the other hand you have MT fans defending the writting by saying Rudy is not meant to be a pargon of everything good and the story is about him developing as a person.

To both of you NO Rudeus thought the enterty of MY was never shown to be a fully functional adult in a childs body in the first place. Rudeus is himself a child interacting with other children around his own age physically mentally and emotionally. This entire narrative of Rudy being an adult the moment he gets transported is only in the fandom this is never shown in the work itself.

Point 1: Fat Rudy and child Rudy respond to their trauma differently.

Evidence 1. In the very first episode when we see fat Rudy die after being kicked out he has no problem being around other people and strangers his main fear is the fact that he doesn't think he will be able to survive on his own in the "real world" nor those he want to.

Later when child rudeus is confronted with other people outside of his family he can only see them as dark figures trying to throw stones at him.

Inspite both of them suffering from the exact same trama adult rudues is old enough to compartmentalize the bulling he received as a child as simply him not being accepted in society he understands that the random people on the road are not involved and are not a direct threat to him.

Child Rudy is not capable of this compartmentalization and sees the bullying he received as a physical threat any one he doesn't know can reinflict on to him its only when he sees the villages are not out to attack him that he is able of finnally relaxing and going out side.

Old Rudeus sees his trama as a proof he can never re-enter society and live a normal life even though as a grown man the risk of rando people attacking him on the street is non existant. Young rudeus sees strangers as a physical threat to his safty. We literally see that by reincarnating his processing of his own trama has regressed.

Evidence 2 - This is brought up multiple times but rudues himself mentions that his brain development has been reset and that is the reason he is able to learn magic and languages so fast. this is even proven by the fact that again he himself mentions that as he grows older he find learning languages and practicing magic more and more difficult as his brain matures.

Part 2 - Everytime adults around him treat him like an adult they realize they where wrong to do so simply because his smarter and stronger that your average child.

Im getting tired of typing so this is going to be a speed round.

When rudy first meets eris and tries to prove to her that his a good teacher he ends up seeing the thugs that captured her get murdered and its the first time he genuinly realizes that the people in the new world are real people and not npc's.

When his birthday comes up he practices crying to manipulate Eris' family to like him but is genuinly sad when he learned his parents wont be coming inspite in his own head not seeing them as his actual parents(inspite seeing himself as an adult he has the normal reaction any child would have to hearing his parents missed his birthday then tries to suppress it).

When he gets transported to the demon content and gets the kids he was adventuring with him killed by being reckless and overconfident. he realizes he is way less mature than he thought he was and just pretending to be an adult. He genuinly cries for the first time in the story realizing just how bad the situation him and Eris are actually in is. allowing him to be venerable for the first time with Eris allowing for the both of them to start to see each other and equals and allowing Ruijerd to realize that Rudy was still a child and he was putting way to much pressure on him simply because he was smart and mature for his age.

When he meets his dad and gets in a fight with him his dad is forced to learn the same lesson Ruijerd Leaned that it wasn't okay to put so much pressure on a kid and at the same time Rudy finnally accepts Paul as his actual farther and not just some random guy who was taking care of him.

Later when Paul dies we literally see Rudy at his grave crying about the fact that because he was to busy pretending to be an adult he didnt actually have a proper relationship with his father and he wishes he did differntly.

I genuinly don't understand how people can say Rudy is an adult in a kids body after the last episode of season two when he in his own words says he was just a kid trying to act grown and mature just because he had memories from a past life. Its literally from the horses mouth.

Point 3 - Rudy is not shown to have an adults understanding of relationships.

Understanding this is expecially important for the grooming aligations that just make no sense to anyone who actually read the story. Basically the sad pedo happy pedo memes that gets pirated around.

Sylpy - I find the way people describe his relationship with sylpy as grooming extremely weird since we literallly know for a fact that Rudy for the majority of their relationship though he was a guy and he shows multiple times that he isn't into men. the moment he actually realizes she a girl soon after he gets shipped off away from her.

One of the biggest reasons people seem to think Rudy is grooming Eris and sylpy is because of the dialogue he has after discovering sylpy is actually a girl simplified as "I'll make sure to raise her to be my wife" before he imagines hugging her and Paul walks in.

This take to me must be coming from people who did not read/watch the show. I will admit that out of context the line is disgusting "IF" you ignore the fact that literally right before this scene we see rudy completly incapable of having a normal social interaction of slypy and being completly incapable of doing as much as apolagizing to a child that he mistoke her gender "twice in a row".

Rudy is not shown to have the emotional maturity nor social skills to properly understand that part of the reason sylpy is upset is because she wants him to see her as a girl(hence why his apolagizes fail in the first place) yet people will swear to you that his same character some how has the emotional maturity and social skills to groom her even if he wanted to.

And this is ignoring the fact that in the light novel it is directly stated by him that doing so would be wrong and he should treat her as a friend right after he said the line.(this is clear in the anime as well we see them hang out with rudues treating her no differently than when he thought she was a guy but its nice to have it directly stated).

it is clear if you read between the lines that as the audience we are supposed to see rudues talking about making sylpy his wife the same way Paul those as a kid wanting to marry another kid he likes.

Evidence 2 Eris - Now his relationship with Eris is way more complicated since both of the two develop and change because of each other a lot so ill try to simplify this to the basics you need to undertsand just to see hoe rudy shes her. (though this hurts because eris is my favorite character by far and her relationship with rudy from her prospective is so much more interesting to me.)

To me the clearest show case of this is the scene most people skip because of how uncomfortable which is when he tries to sleep with her after his birthday party. Specifically what he says right after she beats him up and runs away. Now this is slightly different between the sub, the dub, and the light novel but paraphrased "I thought relationships where like a dating sim where you slowly progress though the characters root and eventually romance them. but Eris isn't a dating sim character shes a real person and i shouldn't of tried pushing her into this when she wasn't ready I got to excited and that made me hurt her. I'm a piece of trash"

This to me recontextualizes almost all the scenes rudy has with Eris because it shows the audience what he was actually thinking about when he was trying to romance her. "that she was a character in a dating sim"

Early Rudy reminds me of Denji from chainsaw man in the sense that both characters seek love and affection a "Genuine Relationship" but neither actually understand what that looks like so they replace genuine connetion and intamacy with sex.

When rudy gets rejected his first thought isn't dang I really wanted to band Eris since she's so hot. he is literally saying that in his mind going from talking to being phyical to sex was just the natural progression he should be aiming for when it comes to the opposite gender.

Young rudues those not understand that relationships are more than sexual and simply thinks that if he has sex with Eris then their then going to have a strong and happy relationship.

What rudy wants is exactly what he failed to get in his previous life a genuine connection with another human being that treats him like and equal and who he can be himself around but he doesn't understand what that actually looks like so he substitutes normal intamcy and trust for sex because that's what porn and games has taught him is the height of human connection.

It's extremly childish and i find it expecially adorable because Eris views intamcy the exact same way he those she just realizes that she isn't actually ready to have that deep of a connection with someone or be that vunerable yet.

Both characters are kids trying to navigate intamcy and relationships for the first time in their lives and it comes off as extremly realistic to me.

No one wants to talk about it but i remember being a and having guys i liked trying to put moves on me when I wasn't ready its a natural part of growing up. its something that everyone is going to have to grapple with.

Manga / Manwha [ Reprise of The Spear Hero spin off manga volume 11] Hey doesn't this prove that The manga and light novels for The Reprise of The Spear Hero is Canon too The light novels for Rising Of The Shield Hero Spoiler

So Ost and Kyo never existed in the web novels they are characters that the light novels added to the story

So the fact that they both appear in the manga for Reprise of the spear hero proves that it's Canon to The light novels for Rising Of The Shield Hero And not the web novels

Question [HELP] Can't remember the name of this manga!

When MC was a kid he won a talent TV show for spelling without stuttering any words.

After that his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion but then at the age of 30-40 years old he's just a corporate drone sad and regrets his life (considers his no stuttering a useless talent).

Then he gets isekai'ed, finds a cursed book which holds immense power and spells.

But the chanting is SUPER long and if u mess a single word/letter u DIE.

Now this previous useless talent is OP so he goes on an adventure.
