Discussion Can We Do Something Meaningful for the Students in Delhi?
Guyz, I have always taken this stance that this sub should remain non political however whatever is happening with students in Delhi is very bad and I feel if we dont support them now we will be standing on wrong side of history.
Our sub has always been a democratic sub where we talk and listen to everyone. So I wanna start this discussion: should we do something to support our kids who are fighting for a better future in Delhi Could be anything: water bottles, food, medicines, but we have to do something.
Also thinking about changing sub logo to CJP logo of Wanchuk ji's photo to show solidarity.
My kids (son and daughter) are in the protest and have been beaten black and blue in last few days but they not backing down. I would probably be going there from today evening or tomorrow. If you there and you need anything, talk to me. not anymore.
Let's talk.....
EDIT - As another redditor show apprehension on talkin politics on Ents, that I somehow agree with but as I replied -
Comment 1 - Bro I have done a lot good for this sub in last 9 years so even if people take me for a POS for supporting this movement as long as it is, let it be. I have a 24 years old boy and 21 year old girl. I know my kids wont even hurt a fly let alone be violent. My kids got beaten yesterday mercilessly by Dalli police. Being cannabis lover is secondary, I have a spine and take a stand.
Comment 2 - If I was a POS power tripping MOD, I could have had easily staterd banning people with opposing view or banned you, I have never done it. Even BHOLA guys get space here. As you said, No problem, lets make this a protest megathread and this is the only place and only time that politics will be discuses on ENTS. If there is a consensus that I am wrong here, I am willing to leave this sub for good. Lets go.
You can read the whole conversation in comments.
Edit 2 - After discussion this with /u/tipsyy_in and other redditor, because we all come from a political spectrum, we might have opposing views and this sub has never been political. Lets make this a protest megathread and this is the only place and only time that politics will be discuses on ENTS. If ENTS dont even want that, I am willing to fully delete this.
