After everything Hardik has gone through over the years—his injuries, change in roles, fluctuations in form, fan trolling, and captaincy debates—he isn't the same player he was before 2020. He bowls less now, and his batting has evolved from pure power-hitting to a more balanced approach. He also no longer plays Test cricket.
While his T20I performances are still excellent, fitness continues to be a concern. I wanted to ask about his batting in white-ball internationals. He batted at No. 4 a few times during the 2019 World Cup and played a memorable knock in the 2017 Champions Trophy final. His highest ODI scores are 92* and 90 against Australia in the 2020 series, along with 87 against Australia in 2017.
Do you think he'll ever score an ODI or T20I hundred, or has that opportunity passed? Hardik became my second-favourite cricketer after Rohit when I started watching cricket in 2019, and I didn't get the opportunity to watch his Test century in 2017 live. I've always wanted to see him score an international century in the shorter formats.
Do you think his batting prime is over, or does he still have another level left to reach? Will we able to witness him in his prototypical brute mode again?
I know personal milestones mean nothing when we consider whats necessary for the team but still these remain as good memories for both fans and the players .That's why I am just asking? What do you think?
