Advice Course Selection DP 11 M28
Am I cooked? Today's the last day to change subjects...
I'm new to the IB curriculum so I don't really have an insight on how this is going to go😭

Hey all, the time to actually lock in on the EE has come. Everything's new and different for us M27 folk and I'm kind of lost on how to actually start. More specifically, how I should order it.
Should I layer my counter arguments in between my big main points as though it were a normal essay? And also how would I word it in my table of contents?
I've been looking at Inthinking a bunch as well but I wanted more help.
Anything and everything is appreciated! Thanks!

Im in ESS HL , I am starting my IA Now (going into dp2) my research question is going to be soemthing like how different subject pathways (like the sciences) influence the Environmental Value System scores and self-reported food waste habits of IB Diploma students.

Hello!
My subjects are Phy, Chem, Math for HL
Eng A L&L, German Ab initio, Business management for SL
My german teacher is borderline useless. He never teaches in class and wastes time. It is DP2 now. I understand barely any german. And I can't even complain about him to the higher ups because in class tests he takes our tests and edits the answers so that we have good or passing marks. Therefore he isn't questioned either because on paper he is producing results. Through cheating though so we are all fucked for the final boards.
Please. If anyone can tell me what can I do. I feel absolutely hopeless right now. I need to study german and get a 6 bare minimum any how.
I got a 31 on the final IB score. I plan on retaking to aim for a 38 at least. Planned retake subjects include:
- economics hl
- computer sceince sl
- maa hl
- physics sl
I also have to juggle EC’s, essays and SAT grinding. Would you say this is doable? I aim to retake 4 subjects to maximize my score increase. Thanks!

Is it ok (I mean will I still be able to get a 7) if I don’t read one book for my class (I mean no book and nothing about it whatsoever)?

Hi, y’all! I’m currently a 10th grader studying in CBSE who’s very set on studying abroad, specifically Germany. I’ve heard that IB helps with countries like the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, etc. But I’ve never seen that it helps to study in Germany so I was wondering if anyone here could clear that up.
And, I’ve been heavily contemplating switching from CBSE to IB for 11th grade. Do schools even allow that? Is that advisable? I’ve seen a lot online about how studying abroad is harder if you’re in CBSE, which is why I’ve been wanting to change boards.
I also thought about IGCSE and I guess I still am but I’ve seen that IB is better than IGCSE so I’m mainly considering IB.
Another major reason I want to switch boards is because I’m very unhappy with CBSE schools and their methods of teaching. Honestly, my grades aren’t the best right now and I’m constantly working on it but I just can’t do that well if I don’t have good teachers in school as I spend a major part of my waking day there.
My parents are fine with me changing schools and boards but the only problem is that IGCSE and IB are significantly more expensive than CBSE. I suppose I’ll have to find a way to convince them but I’d love to know if there are any affordable IB/IGCSE schools in Bangalore.
I’d like to speak to anyone who’s changed boards from CBSE or ICSE to IGCSE or IB, if they’re willing to talk. I’d really appreciate it if anyone would be willing to help me on this.

I’ve recently contacted my IB coordinator to ask them if I can receive a copy of my own English lang lit paper from M26. My reasoning was that I may use it as an exemplar when tutoring IB English to future cohorts. After all, the school purchases them as reference for the teachers every year.
(on another note, I poured my soul into paper 2 and scored decently so, naturally, I would like to be granted access to said paper that I paid [financially and mentally] to write 😭✋)
But turns out, the purchased papers are apparently a reserved right for teachers and teachers only. Is this a common practice across most IB schools ?

Hi, I recently finished the May 26 exams and failed to meet my conditional offers requirements. I am looking to retake the exams in November but so far I have been struggling to find a school that accepts me. I am looking at Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. If anyone has any idea on a school that accepts external candidates, please let me know. Anything will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello everyone, as you can tell from the title I want to attend USYD which is in Sydney, Australia. I was wondering whether anyone could tell me what subjects and level to pick for my best chances at a bachelor of law or bachelor of law/commerce.
Also if possible, the minimum marks I would need to get.
Thankyou!

hii! i'm a 15 year old student from sg and i want to get an ib45.
is there anything you would recommend for me to do now before my ib starts (any study routines, strategies, habits that would come in handy?)
for my subject combo, i'm pretty set on: hl bio, hl chem, hl maa (i want to do medicine), sl econs/history (i'm worried that history might be too content heavy), sl lit and performance (the only lit subject available for hl double science students in my sch), sl chinese b anticipated (meaning i finish all my content and final exams in dp1, just for chinese)
please be kindd, thank you!!!

Hey everyone,
I’m preparing for IB ESS N26 and I’m struggling to find good notes. Most of what I’ve found online are just really brief summaries, but I’m looking for proper, detailed notes that actually explain the content well.
If you’ve got notes that helped you, or know any websites, Google Drive folders, or other resources with decent ESS notes, could you please share them?
Would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Each book is in excellent condition with minimal wear and tear. Some pencil/pen scribbles. The calculator has no damage, only one scribble. PAN India shipping for only Rs.99. DM for prices.
Hi everyone, I’m sharing a super helpful Paper 1 Tips document of stuff I WISH I KNEW early on and not right before my exams!
If you'd like access to it please fill in this form and the link to it will be available at the ending screen (I'm only using this so I can quantify my impact).
I hope this helps and please feel free to comment/dm if you'd like some other type of resource that you think I may have enough expertise to create!
