May 2026 Exams Can’t have a copy of my own English exam 🫩

I’ve recently contacted my IB coordinator to ask them if I can receive a copy of my own English lang lit paper from M26. My reasoning was that I may use it as an exemplar when tutoring IB English to future cohorts. After all, the school purchases them as reference for the teachers every year.

(on another note, I poured my soul into paper 2 and scored decently so, naturally, I would like to be granted access to said paper that I paid [financially and mentally] to write 😭✋)

But turns out, the purchased papers are apparently a reserved right for teachers and teachers only. Is this a common practice across most IB schools ?

Advice Is switching from CBSE to IB worth it?

Hi, y’all! I’m currently a 10th grader studying in CBSE who’s very set on studying abroad, specifically Germany. I’ve heard that IB helps with countries like the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, etc. But I’ve never seen that it helps to study in Germany so I was wondering if anyone here could clear that up.

And, I’ve been heavily contemplating switching from CBSE to IB for 11th grade. Do schools even allow that? Is that advisable? I’ve seen a lot online about how studying abroad is harder if you’re in CBSE, which is why I’ve been wanting to change boards.

I also thought about IGCSE and I guess I still am but I’ve seen that IB is better than IGCSE so I’m mainly considering IB.

Another major reason I want to switch boards is because I’m very unhappy with CBSE schools and their methods of teaching. Honestly, my grades aren’t the best right now and I’m constantly working on it but I just can’t do that well if I don’t have good teachers in school as I spend a major part of my waking day there.

My parents are fine with me changing schools and boards but the only problem is that IGCSE and IB are significantly more expensive than CBSE. I suppose I’ll have to find a way to convince them but I’d love to know if there are any affordable IB/IGCSE schools in Bangalore.

I’d like to speak to anyone who’s changed boards from CBSE or ICSE to IGCSE or IB, if they’re willing to talk. I’d really appreciate it if anyone would be willing to help me on this.

Advice Retake 4 subjects?

I got a 31 on the final IB score. I plan on retaking to aim for a 38 at least. Planned retake subjects include:
- economics hl
- computer sceince sl
- maa hl
- physics sl
I also have to juggle EC’s, essays and SAT grinding. Would you say this is doable? I aim to retake 4 subjects to maximize my score increase. Thanks!

Other November 26 Retake Schools

Hi, I recently finished the May 26 exams and failed to meet my conditional offers requirements. I am looking to retake the exams in November but so far I have been struggling to find a school that accepts me. I am looking at Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. If anyone has any idea on a school that accepts external candidates, please let me know. Anything will be appreciated. Thanks.

Other Proud and disappointed at the same time :_)

Just wanted to vent about my results somewhere... I've emailed my DPC and decided that I won't be remarking my English A (which I was 4 points away from a 6 for). I was really disappointed because I was predicted to get a 7 so I expected to get a 6 but ended up getting a 5, which still stings rn. But on the bright side my English A EE got a 31/34 which pleasantly surprised me so I guess there's something to be proud of (but it just feels so ironic since my HLE should be a tad similar but I got bad grade for that lmao)

Group 2 How do I study for German AB initio?

Hello!

My subjects are Phy, Chem, Math for HL

Eng A L&L, German Ab initio, Business management for SL

My german teacher is borderline useless. He never teaches in class and wastes time. It is DP2 now. I understand barely any german. And I can't even complain about him to the higher ups because in class tests he takes our tests and edits the answers so that we have good or passing marks. Therefore he isn't questioned either because on paper he is producing results. Through cheating though so we are all fucked for the final boards.

Please. If anyone can tell me what can I do. I feel absolutely hopeless right now. I need to study german and get a 6 bare minimum any how.

Other Been trying different IB Bio resources lately

Post image
64 Upvotes

I've been revising for the October exams and have been looking for a few Biology resources besides Revision Village. I still use RV quite a bit, but I was curious to see what else people have found helpful, especially for topic-by-topic revision.

I recently came across EduNinja while searching around. One thing I liked was that the Biology content is split into smaller syllabus sections, which made it easier for me to review individual concepts instead of jumping through full chapters. I also noticed there are some exam-style questions available.

It's definitely not perfect yet though. From what I've seen, Biology seems more complete than Physics, and some areas still look like they're being expanded, so I don't think it replaces the bigger resources.

I'm mostly using it as an extra revision tool rather than my main one.

What other IB Biology resources have you found useful for exam prep? I’m always looking for more options.

University Admissions Questions [Insert Country Of Uni] Attending USYD

Hello everyone, as you can tell from the title I want to attend USYD which is in Sydney, Australia. I was wondering whether anyone could tell me what subjects and level to pick for my best chances at a bachelor of law or bachelor of law/commerce.

Also if possible, the minimum marks I would need to get.

Thankyou!

Is it ok (I mean will I still be able to get a 7) if I don’t read one book for my class (I mean no book and nothing about it whatsoever)?

May 2026 Exams 5 remarks, no grade changes. Honestly devastated.

I just need to vent.
I sent 5 remarks because I missed my UCL offer and thought I had a decent chance. I was 1 mark away in Biology and ESS, 2 marks away in my EE, and 3 marks away in Bulgarian and Language & Literature. I wasn’t expecting all of them to go up, but I genuinely thought at least one would.
In the end, none of them changed. My EE gained one raw mark but still stayed below the grade boundary, and my Biology actually lost a raw mark.
What hurts even more is TOK. My teacher believed I had used AI (I didn’t), so my mum and I rewrote the entire essay from scratch over four days. Despite that, he mentioned the AI concern in his teacher comments, and I ended up with 4/10 on the essay. I got 8/10 on my exhibition, and I honestly think my essay was stronger. The remark didn’t change anything.
I know remarks aren’t guaranteed, but after spending so much money and being so close to multiple boundaries, this has been incredibly disappointing.
