found my ice cube trey like this a couple times, I don’t see anything dripping onto it in my freezer and it doesn’t touch anything else in the freezer. only thing that’s changed is I put distilled water in the trey last few times. can anyone tell me what this could mean? I’m perplexed.

For context, the part that inserts into the lid (not the bite valve!!) of my camelbak water bottle somehow has mold growing within the silicone. I clean both silicone parts regularly, but just recently this part won't come clean no matter how much I scrub, scrape, or even boil it. Idk how mold can even grow inside of silicone, but that's just my amateur observation
I've had this bottle for years, and I'd like to reduce overconsumption and not buy a whole new water bottle over one part if it's possible.
I have scoured the internet for a replacement, but the closest thing I could find was a replacement of the whole lid, which is more than I'd need since my plastic part is fine.
If such a thing doesn't exist, I will accept my fate, but I figured I'd give this one final shot and hand it over to reddit to see if anyone else has any insight here where all else has failed

Hey guys, not sure if this is a good place for this question, but I have been doing some looking into sports drinks.
I work for UPS in 100 degree heat and plain old water doesn't cut it.
I have heard that things like Gatorade, Poweade etc may not be the best for you due to addsd sugars and whatnot but I am looking for something very convenient.
I like that Poweade has vitamins and more electrolytes than Gatorade but I am not a huge fan of the HFCS thing.
I don't want sugar spikes. I don't need a big high followed by a lull. That doesn't work in this job.
I recently came across Gatorlyte and have enjoyed it, although I don't really know how healthy it is.
I am not looking to make my own drink.
For someone who sweats a lot, drinks 100oz or more water a day, and does heavy lifting, while walking over 20,000 steps, can you guys recommend something to drink?
I would probably prefer packet or pouch type thing than a bottle.
Appreciate the help.

I’ve been searching for water that’s good for your health but there are mixed opinions. I have an eternal water, a path water and now these. What’s the truth?

I've been hooked on water since I was a kid splitting time between Texas and Florida. In Florida I watched red tide turn whole stretches of coast toxic while everyone kind of shrugged — because monitoring it properly was expensive and nobody really owned the problem. That stuck with me. Years later I wrote my college thesis on water quality trading, which most people found impossibly niche and I found fascinating.
Eventually I got frustrated enough to build the thing I kept wishing existed: a monitor made for remote sites where you can't just walk out and grab a sample every day. Ponds, wells, cisterns, stormwater — places that currently either get checked by hand or need a $5k+ industrial rig nobody's going to put on a farm pond.
Six channels — pH, TDS, turbidity, ORP, temp, GPS — with long-range radio (~15km) so it reports back from places with no wifi, and local buffering so it doesn't lose data when the connection drops. There are other monitors out there and I'm not claiming I invented water sensing. But three things almost none of them do, so I built around them:
Right now I'm putting units on friends' and family's places and a handful of properties around Texas to find the real-world failure modes before I trust it anywhere that matters.
Two things I'd genuinely value this sub's read on:
One more thing — if you're anywhere on the Gulf, US side or the Mexican coast, I'd really like to hear from you. Red tide, algae blooms, well contamination, whatever you actually deal with — DM me. I especially want to know if your community has ever looked at or tried water quality trading, because I think the Gulf is exactly where this should be happening and I want to understand what's real on the ground versus what I've only read about.

of course, I’ve always thought it was completely normal to drink of water on its own, because, it’s water
but lately people keep pointing out that it’s better for you to put a pinch of salt in the water.. is this true? and should I be putting more than just sodium in my water to get more electrolytes while drinking?? I’m just confused now, I didn’t think that I should’ve been adding things to my water like it’s a potion lol

Just leave the water in the freezer next to sugar water, when the sugar water is frozen, carefully take out the water, good lord you will be blessed with some cold crisp water, perfect for the 3am hydration run

I'm looking for a durable, leak-proof water bottle that's easy to carry and keeps drinks cold for a long time. What brands or models would you recommend, and why?

Im wanting to drastically improve the amount of water im intake per day. I currently really struggle with this and hate plain water, squash is an option however I don't want to fall on this.
The air up seems like a good option, however if you've tried it, I'd love to know your opinions on it.
