I was heading back home from school and saw a random Walmart so I stopped, glad I did! Didn’t think I would every find this one 🔥 ended up leaving the pink slips skyline.

Body: Hotwheels premium Ronin Run starlet widebody, grinded down the roof spoiler and the fender flares, filled the remaining pinholes with araldite. Also grinded down the inner wheel wells to fit the bigger wheels (it comes with the smaller diameter wheels).

Interior: Removed the stock steering wheel, seats and center console grinded down. Made a roll cage with 1/32" brass rod, bent longer pieces and individually glued all smaller pieces. Added extra glue on the intersections to simulate "welded" look.

Added a resin printed fire extinguisher, C02 tank, long sequential shifter, racing seat, wheelie bar, parachute and steering wheel from etsy shop ScaleModelGuy.

Side fender exhaust was from an hold resin printed turbo I had laying around, same as the rear wheels.

Waterslide decals from etsy shop HarmoneeCreations.

Painted with acrylics and airbrush, smaller details were brushed on. Not happy with the orange peel on clearcoat but I can manage.

Also used AI to make a custom card art and laminated it. Not perfectly cut but its a little inexpensive touch.

Had alot of fun! Etsy shops deserved the shoutout, parts and service was great.

But the wires under the wheels is to tie it into its final display case lol

First off … absolutely ecstatic to find this Nismo 270R, great casting and looks sharp (Modern Classics set just recently popped up in the area). Still missing the Ferrari and Porsche but likely a pipe dream to find in-stores…but that is to be expected. Finding something in the wild is truly rewarding, and should be what this hobby is about.

Now to a frustrating story…

I was also looking through the pegs and saw someone who was in their 50s to 60s systematically bending corners on all the cards (see pics). Not sure the intention, but it is pretty immature/shameful for someone that age to do that for what is essentially a toy.

To note also, prior to this the individual had already picked out a clean carded Nismo 270R and had that in hand. I am a non-carded collector, but it is still frustrating to see especially for sets that have good card art keeping as a display item.

I hope we can do better as a community and make collecting enjoyable for everyone (hoping this isn’t a pipe dream).

Golden Nugget is back but not the Honda

I stopped at Target this morning. I went to the hot wheels section and found this beauty. I still can’t believe it was just hanging there!

i bought the chase in bad card condition and was already wanting to open it. i think hw's R32 pandem casting will be in like hall of fame or something in the future, just so beautifully done. also very low profile and good stance. / both chase and normal versions were in perfect condition, no errors, misplaced decals etc. but.. mercedes had misplaced headlight decals which was unfortunate so i didn't include her. toyota MR2 was also one of the cars that i wanted for so long but it also had problems. wheels were not rolling well which is just sad because it looks like a casting error. nothing to say about supra.. just a timeless casting with a perfect version of it with chrome 5 spokes with pearl white. thanks for reading my review
