Since Tomica is a Japanese brand and I buy them in Japan, I only buy models of Japanese cars. ๐ Am I really the only one who does that? Haha

Today, I bought this bus solely because it reminds me my very first Tomica, the same model.
More than 20 years ago, my city, Jakarta, brought these green and white buses from Japan. I was so excited, even I begged my late mother to ride it for me. Air conditioned, handrail, even buttons that probably I was the only one used to alert the driver for us to get off. And not long after, at one retail bookstore, I was stocked, seeing these racks of toy cars, so much different than Matchbox and Hot Wheels. And whaddya know? I spot this little green and white bus sitting at one of the slot. My jaw dropped.
I begged my dad to buy it.
Bus and box, I displayed it on our display cabinet. I really, really love that bus, and it was my journey to start collecting Tomica.
One day, I forgot what day it was, I think our relatives came to visit, plenty of them.
Simply to say, once they went home, the bus gone.
I didn't remember whether I cried or not, and I hadn't seen the same model stocked everywhere. Been bummed since, but I ended up forgetting about it.
Two weeks ago, I found this Tomica hobby shop in the city while looking for the Premium Stagea. They sold old Tomica, particularly models from 90s and early 2000s, fetched $20 - $30 a box (Red-white boxes but they have red and blue TOMY letters instead of TAKARA TOMY. Naturally, I asked the aunty and uncle, jokingly, whether they have the Mitsubishi Fuso Bus.
Which I bought today.
Happy? I suppose so, it's not exactly mine, but it's the same bus that brought me to the world of Tomica. Still, the price is killing me though.
