Which rug size looks better ?
Hii ! I got a first rug and thought it was a bit small so I returned it but now the new one feels a bit overwhelming for the room. Is it because Im not used to it or is it really too big ? What would you do ?
Also, is this specific rug (jute) okay or should I go for something lighter / less noisy ?
Thank you ! :)

Am I being too picky on this wallpaper install?
The installers put up this wallpaper in our Wetbar area but seem to have trimmed it a bit oddly.
Background info- Wetbar was painted black before. We just bought the house.
Question is-
Should I say something or just add gimp/trim to the edges and call it a day?
Thanks for your help!
Wallpaper is Empress by Milton & King.
*Updated to add- the company says it just needs to be caulked.
ETA- the company gave me a sizable discount on the job and I appreciate all of the helpful comments!

New bedroom mural with paint I have
Hey y’all! So I started a mural in my guest room in December of 2023 and haven’t been able to finish it because I drew the pattern smaller than intended. It’s been painful on my arthritis bc of how intricate it is, so I’ve decided to paint over it and do something more simple for the sake of my hand!
I have seen some gorgeous large buffalo plaid/check walls and decided that would be pretty and easy enough for me to handle! I also want to use the paint I have rather than getting anything else (except for maybe white for the base).
I’m having a hard time visualizing which colors would look good together and don’t want to use Ai. I am open to using any and all of the colors, my husband doesn’t care if it’s pink and purple or rainbow, as long as I’m happy and the wall is finished lol
I would only be painting 1 small wall so I think I have enough of each color, even if only 2-3 colors were used.
Please let me know your thoughts on color combos!!
(Bedding is grey, but also have white)
Also attaching a pic of the current status of the original mural - was filling in the background navy, that was the hardest part…
And a bland idea, I need color in my life!!!

What do I do with this space
We have this little nook that we usually use to store all of our soda, waters Gatorade, snacks, etc. but it just looks so messy and I’m wondering if you have recommendations on how to use this for storage since it’s an open space

Be honest: would this feel playful or too kitschy in a guest bathroom?
I’m thinking about using this ocean-inspired bath mat in a small guest bathroom. I like the sea-glass green colors and textured waves, but I’m worried the shells and starfish might make the room feel too themed.
Would you pair it with white and sand-colored towels, bring out the rust-orange accent, or skip it altogether?
Does it read as coastal and cheerful, childish, or simply too busy? Honest opinions welcome.

Wallpaper help
For my daughters room. She’s 3, loves pink but I feel the white flowers is very timeless and very classic?
Very English cottage vibes for both.
We tried to steer away from a pink princess themed room.

What color dado rail (chair rail) should I choose?
This is my hall. I wanted to make it bright and to put some colorful pictures and a mirror.
The second picture is an AI suggestion, but I'm not sure if I like it.
Can you please suggest the best color for a dado rail, or any other suggestions to make it bright and joyful?
Thank you ❤️

How would you improve my dining room?
I do live in an apartment. I ideally want to have the wall filled with bookshelves but idk if that’s the right style for a dining room. I’m loving this green theme. I’m unsure if I need a rug or not. The closet is not usable.

Unsure which way to put slats
I recently bought these wood slats to put underneath my kitchen bar area, and I am quite torn between how I should put them. I attached 2 very rough mock ups of what both would look like. Vertical or Horizontal? I personally am slightly leaning vertical, though horizontal would be much easier to do, and I am concerned that I might mess up cutting them if I were to do vertical.
Before anyone suggests that I run them up the entire wall surrounding the bar, I don't have enough material to do that.

Hinge Color
Just spent a small fortune to replace all new interior doors and closet doors. Told the contractor that I
would be using oil bronzed handles. Came to see the doors today and saw these cheap looking hinges installed. Is it
reasonable to ask
hinges to be changed to the color
I wanted?

What to do with this space?
We just moved into a new house (excuse the boxes) and looking for what to do with the wall space on the right side (highlighted orange) .
This is the living room so behind me (not shown) is our sectional and TV/TV stand.
From left to right: Front door (not pictured), bookcase, window & vinyls, and then empty until you go through to the kitchen on the right.
A sitting area seems like a good idea but ultimately would be a waste. No one would sit there.
Any other ideas? Old owners had a dining table there but who wants to eat on the carpet in front of the front door?

Bedroom furniture cost?
How much should I expect to spend on bedroom furniture?
Specifically:
-a decent upholstered king bed (like the thuma)
-A dresser big enough for two people
I don’t need furniture that’s going to last a lifetime, but at the same time I don’t want it to feel or look like absolute poor quality (squeaking bed, stuck drawers, etc)
Does anyone have some recommendations for beds or dressers without breaking the bank?
I don’t have a dead set budget, im planning on $2k for those two items, but I’m willing and able to spend more if necessary to get what I want.

Help with paint recs
I’m exhausted! I’ve been trying to pick a paint color for my living room kitchen area and we have like an orangey type of woodwork. I tried two samples, one of Shoji white and one of natural linen, and I’m not really a fan of either natural linen looks way too yellow for me thinking of maybe doing accessible beige? Does anyone have the same type of woodwork and have any recommendations?

Suggestion for bathroom art
Hi! I have some pieces I’d like to hang in the bathroom , however I am concerned I’d get mold or moisture trapped behind the frame against the wall. Any tips?
