Same layout, 4 different vibes. Which one wins?

Stuck in analysis paralysis. Furniture placement is locked in, but I'm going back and forth between four totally different vibes for the same space. If you had to wake up to one every morning, which would it be? And if none of them feel right, tell me what I'm missing — I'm open to a hybrid or a complete curveball.

For my daughters room. She’s 3, loves pink but I feel the white flowers is very timeless and very classic?

Very English cottage vibes for both.

We tried to steer away from a pink princess themed room.

$399 later... I'm seriously thinking about replacing my ceiling fan again.

I replaced my old ceiling fan last week with the one in pic 1. It was $399 and from a well-known brand, so I figured it was the safe choice.

But after living with it for a few days, I’ve noticed a weird electrical hum when it’s running, and I’m not loving the light either. At this point, I’m leaning toward returning it.

Pic 2 is the fan I actually want next. I used AI to mock up how it might look in the room, and it’s around the same price. The problem is that it’s from a brand I’ve never heard of, and everyone around me keeps telling me not to risk it and to stick with a bigger brand.

Pic 3 is the old fan I originally replaced.

Would you guys recommend returning #1 and taking a chance on #2, or is there another fan you’d suggest instead? And purely based on looks, which one do you think looks best?

Hi all- I’ve been looking for a dining table and found one at the thrift store today that I absolutely love. The style and size is perfect!

However- I feel like the color/tone is outdated. What are your thoughts on the photos below? Any easy ways to change the color/tone to make it less outdated without having to sand it and restain it?

Serena & Lily Code

Hey guys, I know not everyone will be interested, but on the off chance I have a single-use code for $100 off a $500 purchase at Serena and Lily that I’m willing to let someone use if they’d like. Just let me know and the first person who wants it can have it. I just want to make sure it goes to someone who will use it. They can be spendy but maybe useful for someone already planning on making a purchase.

Help me fix the wall above the couch

I know the macrame is too small for the couch, violating the 2/3 rule. Thing is, we LOVE this piece and want it showcased. How do I balance it with other pieces? I have a few frames already sitting on the couch (as you can see from the picture ) that I'm considering. Thank you!!

Help! Nursery on a budget

I’m pregnant with my first child and working on designing a nursery on a budget. I found a crib for $20 and picked up a used dresser for free. We already had the couch and were planning to keep it in the nursery because we plan to spend a lot of time together in this room. I would like to make these items work but I think the dresser is clashing with everything else. I bought floating book shelves the color natural that also clash with everything else. I was planning to paint them white or gray but I’m open to other suggestions. I bought them new so I could also return for a different pre-painted color. Any suggestions on how I could tie this room together would be greatly appreciated. I’ve always struggled with decorating and honestly have no idea whether this is salvageable or if I need to replace the dresser. I included images of the furniture items and an AI image of the bookshelves. Other items I was planning to find used include a rocking chair with ottoman, a storage cube organizer, and a side table. I don’t plan to buy the curtains but I was hoping to recreate them with the same colors.

Rug Size?

We used to have a 9x12 Ruggable rug in our living room and it was such a pain. I’m getting a new rug and wondering if an 8x10 would work. I know furniture is supposed to fit on the rug and the oversized seat is barely on the 8x10. We don’t have the recliner in place just yet.

**edit** What do I do with this blank WALL? One large art piece? Multiples? Floating shelf? Something else entirely? I added a picture of the rest of the room for context.

Which rug size looks better ?

Hii ! I got a first rug and thought it was a bit small so I returned it but now the new one feels a bit overwhelming for the room. Is it because Im not used to it or is it really too big ? What would you do ?

Also, is this specific rug (jute) okay or should I go for something lighter / less noisy ?
Thank you ! :)

Be honest: would this feel playful or too kitschy in a guest bathroom?

Post image

I’m thinking about using this ocean-inspired bath mat in a small guest bathroom. I like the sea-glass green colors and textured waves, but I’m worried the shells and starfish might make the room feel too themed.

Would you pair it with white and sand-colored towels, bring out the rust-orange accent, or skip it altogether?

Does it read as coastal and cheerful, childish, or simply too busy? Honest opinions welcome.

Am I being too picky on this wallpaper install?

The installers put up this wallpaper in our Wetbar area but seem to have trimmed it a bit oddly.
Background info- Wetbar was painted black before. We just bought the house.
Question is-
Should I say something or just add gimp/trim to the edges and call it a day?
Thanks for your help!

Wallpaper is Empress by Milton & King.

*Updated to add- the company says it just needs to be caulked.

ETA- the company gave me a sizable discount on the job and I appreciate all of the helpful comments!

Looking for recommendations for websites or physical stores in CA for elegant and high-quality coastal decor and furniture. I seem to only find the tackiest things, but I see Pinterest inspo that looks elegant. I just don’t know where to find it or which stores to trust regarding quality. Thanks, guys.

Slowly going crazy over picking cabinet paint colors

We’re ready to give our kitchen a refresh and I’ve spent months trying to decide on a paint color. I need something that will complement our terracotta colored countertops, as we can’t switch them out. Thinking in the realm of a natural green, but then my interest is piqued by cream or terracotta as well.
As far as other changes go, I’m definitely open to changing out the backsplash as whoever installed it didn’t execute the job very well. We’ll also be changing the light fixtures to something else, possibly rattan. Painting the walls a warm creamy color to match the living area. Any advice is appreciated as I’m just over the decision fatigue and ready to jump in.

Need area rug advice

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey everyone!
Tail end of a reno here (per paint cans, vacuum, steam cleaner shown)
We need to get an area rug for this room.
Just wondering… does the rug need to be big enough to go under the front and back legs on the couch?

Any color/style suggestions?
Window coverings will be slightly off white zebra blinds.

Thanks in advance

Over toilet shelving unit

I liked the design of one of these units so I bought a few of them. The depth is 10” which sticks out too far so when I am on the toilet the back of my head hits the shelf and my arm too when reaching back to wipe me crack. Are there any good quality over the toilet shelving units that are 7” deep?

Wallpaper suggestions that look shiny or like they glow under the light?

We have our garage space converted to a hangout space, mini bar, pool table, TV, LED colored lights and I've been thinking of painting the white walls or perhaps putting up a wall paper.

I'm very inspired by the look of Demon Slayer's episode cards, almost appears to be metallic or shiny like silk depending on how the light would hit it. Any suggestions to wallpaper brands or search terms I can look into? I tried searching metallic and didn't get much luck.

Also if there's any tips about wallpaper in general? I don't know much about it or installing it and am a bit nervous about damaging the walls? Any info of things to consider would be appreciated.
