Update on the black cat I found after Deipnon.

Last week I had posted about this sweet baby I found the night after I did my Deipnon. I found her at a four way crossroads by my apartment.

Confirmed she was a stray, and I took her in.

I took her to the vet and got all her vaccinations up to date, she is so sweet. The vet said she may be pregnant (she is only 6-7 months old) that she may not have survived if she hadn’t found someone to take her in. She’s very skinny, and I’ve been spoiling her. I haven’t thought of a name yet, but I think I may go with Chaos!

Just wanted to give an update post on this sweet baby! (Delete if this isn’t allowed!)

Didn’t know who she was until today, affirmation or rabbit hole?

So, I’ve been finding random keys everywhere. For like two months, I’ve probably collected 10+ keys I’ve never seen found in my car, purse, end tables…

I found a mysterious horn (likely deer) just sitting on my picnic table one day.

Spiritually, I’m feeling protected, but like there’s an energy following me. Almost motherly, I thought it was a passed loved one initially.

I’m also finding myself scouring tarot cards and mythology texts, not sure what answers I’m looking for, just knowing I’m seeking definition.

Today, I saw an Instagram post with a skit about a girls first meeting with Hecate. Not sure why but her name seemed “right,” so I consulted dr Google about her symbolism and saw the detail about keys being her sign.

I’m also at a time of major transformation and crossroads in my life. Facing many decisions that have long-term consequences.

What do we think? I’ve never worked with specific entities before, so this is intimidating but I’m wondering what welcoming her may look like.

Crow feathers next to offering

Hi.

I'm new to all of this but have felt for a while a strong pull toward Hecate. I felt like recently the signs had gotten a bit stronger.

I recently moved to a new home. Prior to my move, a tiny spider was crawling on me and I gently placed him on the ground, only for it to come back several times.

After moving, I asked her for some more signs and a few days later we found hundreds of little spiders in my storage shed.

I've begun to feel her presence a bit more, it's a sweet, motherly, warm feeling that overcomes me for 15-20 seconds.

Yesterday especially was a very hard day for me, my mother has relapsed again recently and it's been affecting me a lot.

I felt Hecate's presence during a difficult moment yesterday, and I lit a candle, asking her if she was present.

The flame was very strong, flickering wildly. I put on some music for her, even sang her a song dedicated to her I found. I cried, I spoke with her, thanked her, and made my first offering.

I don't have an altar yet, do not have the financial means to start one but it's in my plans to make her one when I can.

I heard that she liked olive oil and flowers so I picked some purple flowers, and poured some olive oil in a clean small container and placed it outside in my garden on top of a big flat rock near some trees.

I spoke to her, honored her and let her know it was a humble offering for her.

Today when I passed the rock, I noticed that right next to it, were two crow feathers. It felt like it was from Hecate, an acknowledgement.

I've washed the feathers and brought them inside.

I'm still learning to trust my intuition a bit, and wanted to know if I'm just reading into things or if this could be a sign?

Some missing pieces I thought I'd share today, by way of introduction.

My keychain and my massive collection of mostly useless keys, along with this turbo deluxe security lock I got last year when the whole legal drama with my previous landlord all started (whom I am suing the shit out of btw -- long story, not going into details for obvious reasons). It belongs with the red keys.

I actually found the Tower card from my 100% Plastic RWS deck while I was packing my stuff to move out, after getting my eviction notice back in March. Its sudden appearance struck me like the proverbial lightning bolt that day. I hadn't even noticed when I lost it, and then completely forgot about it again lol. Just found it today, together with my lock, in one of my backpacks.

My current apartment has been a salve for the soul, but I still feel like I'm in a place in between places. I know I'm destined for greater things, but, for the moment, I'm happy, and so are my cats. I couldn't have asked for more.

I'm still missing a couple of keys, but I'm sure I'll find them when the time is right. What goes around the Strophalos, tends to come around eventually.

I'm fairly new to the Hekatean faith, but it suddenly dawned on me that my keychain might explain a lot about why I felt so drawn to her recently. Plus, I'm Greek and I live in Greece, so I guess gravitating towards her was more or less inevitable, especially given my already prevalent interest in the occult.

100% new to this

I struggle to make long stories short but this is my best try: I grew up Catholic but since college and my 20s I’ve been more agnostic. I’ve been drawn to more spiritual practices since I was a teenager (manifestation, etc) but have never dabbled in witchcraft or anything like that. I minored in classics in college and so I have a fairly solid background of Greek mythology, but Hekate is one goddess that was never heavily talked about in my classes (they were usually male centered ofc🙄).

The other day I saw a tiktok mention her out of no where and I hadn’t heard of modern worship of Hekate before, and it piqued my interest. I feel drawn to her as I am certainly at a crossroads in my life with my job/career and definitely have been struggling for guidance.

I have NO IDEA where to start, I’ve lurked on this sub for a few days and started listed to Courtney Weber’s book and I’ve already learned more about Her than I had before.

I’m afraid to look like a larper so any advice to help a complete beginner to witchcraft/spirituality in general would be so appreciated!!!🩷🩷

Young witch needs advice about Hekate and the witchcraft

Im young, so really just a teenager and since I don’t have any still alive family members that have knowledge of magic it’s kinda hard to actually get into it properly, still, I truly wanna learn and get to know the craft better.

I feel really amazed by Hekate for a time now so i’ve asked myself if I could maybe learn better about witchcraft from the Goddess herself but there I question if I even should be doing that since i’m still a teenager but I know she also has an epithet for the Nurturing of the young too so please if you have any advice leave them in the comments, thank you

Returning

I had to step away from anything spiritual a few months ago, and even stopped worshipping Hecate. I have had time to help myself, to be in a better place as a person and wish to return to her graces. I wouldn't say I turned my back on her, but I simply was in a horrible place to not be able to stay connected. I wish to re connect and start again (i know some of you will say i should have never stopped but the situation was dire).would it be as simple as starting to pray to Hecate and ask for forgiveness? I am ashamed on breaking the connection and wish to seek penance should it be necessary.

How do I ask Hecate for help with processing grief? (TW medical, death)

Hi, all. I've been lurking in this subreddit for a while. I started my practice with Hecate after she reached out to me a year ago. It's been on-and-off with the constant changes in my life lately, and also because I'm still very new to this. I've been noticing 333 a lot lately, a number I've heard is associated with her, and while I know that crows aren't historically associated with her, there are a lot of them in my area.

I have an altar, I have an Oracle deck dedicated to her, I regularly practice tarot readings, and I have a copy of Cyndi Brannen's "Keeping Her Keys". I haven't completed reading it, but I figure with my current circumstances there is no better time than now.

My Babcia ("grandmother" in Polish) is on her deathbed in the hospital. She is 96 years old. She was admitted to the hospital a couple weeks ago, and we'd at least hoped that she would recover enough so that she could be discharged and be in her own bed at home when she passes, but she seems to have accepted that that won't be the case. There's nothing else the doctors can do for her, so she is choosing to go of her own accord. It's only a matter of time.

My family and I are incredibly lucky that we get the chance to prepare ourselves for her passing in advance, so we are taking every opportunity to.

My reason for posting is exactly that. It's been a while since I've formally held a ritual for Hecate, so I don't know how to go about asking for her guidance and protection during a time like this, or what to expect, especially since it's been a while. Though I do manage to acknowledge Her and thank Her every time I see a sign of her around me, so I hope that counts for something.

Are there any beginner-friendly advice, invocations, or simple offerings I can make to ask Hecate for her protection and guidance of my Babcia's soul and my healing journey?
