i’m currently dealing with a second yeast infection in the past 2 months… however this one got so bad i cried throughout the whole night and went to the hospital in the morning, after another gyno i booked decided to cancel my fucking appointment (asshole).
in the hospital a gyno and a nurse examined me and neither of em could believe what they were seeing, so they called in another more experienced older gyno.
It was in fact another candida infection. It took it only 3 days (and i was already treating it with overcounter meds meanwhile) to absolutely disable me. we’re talking open wounds, labias triple it’s normal size, skin red like angry bird from the front til the very bottom (and i mean it. my butt is not ok.) I had to use a wheelchair to move around.
On top of that it was my first EVER gyno examination.
AND ON TOP OF THAT I am currently in vacation in italy.
AND ON TOP OF FUCKING THAT THE MEDICINE AND VISIT ARE €170.

So I have posted about this before. Not this specific thing but my very active sex life. I (32f) and my partner (35m) have an absolutely insane sex life. We are both very sexually driven and cannot keep our hands off of each other whenever we are together. If we spend a whole day together we could easily have sex 12-15 times where we both cum. I have used boric acid in the past but unsure how helpful that will be.

I am looking for recs on suppositories, supplements, tips that worked for you, similar situations, or anything that may help me continue to enjoy this man at this capacity.

Hi all, recently my partner and I had sex it was my first time and it was amazing however I'm having some concerning physical issues afterwards and I'm worried about what it could be

To start, about 3 days ago my partner and I intimacy afterwards I felt fine I peed right after a little while later I did have some slight pain / soreness to the point I court even close my legs but chalked it up to it just being my first time and him getting a little rough and went to bed

2 days ago I felt better slight soreness if I sat down for a long but that eventually went away later however a new problem arose that day I was extremely itchy it was mainly near the opening or near my inner labia I originally thought it could've been from the friction as well as how rough he was causing tearing but I didn't think it would be due to an infection as he got tested before seeing me and I was a virgin beforehand as far as pain or unusual urine colors I didn't experience any of that just itching and slight swelling

Yesterday I still experienced some itching and swelling but the itching had subsided a bit and wasn't as intense anymore later on that day I noticed a pale red stain on my toilet paper when I went to wipe I thought it could've been the result of tearing maybe some last minute spotting from it being my first time or I might've injured myself from scratch didnt really think much of it

Today I woke up to find large amounts of blood soaking through my underwear and even my pants it was an extremely dark red color not even my menstrual cycle has blood this dark it was about the darkness or my period clots however there was no clotting and it seemed like it was a bit "sticky" and it dried like a purplish red color I have no idea where it came from as I've already had my period earlier this month and didn't experience any cramping or cravings nor other symptoms and slight tearing from sex wouldn't result in this much blood it was as if I was on my period with the amount of blood that came out but I don't think I would have a cycle twice in one month I took a shower and still had swelling down there and it was super tender to the touch but I also started to feel extremely nauseous a few minutes into the shower I had to stop mid shower and sit down to take a breather thankfully I didn't throw up or anything but I still do feel slightly nauseous at the moment

Just some things to reiterate or mention

My partner is slightly bigger than average it took me 3 months just to adjust and be able to fully take him in

My partner has a vasectomy so I don't think I could be pregnant

I was a virgin beforehand and he got tested before seeing me so I doubt either of us could have some sort of Std/Sti or infection we couldve given the other person

We did not use any lube nor condoms at the time

Thankfully I do have a gyno appointment scheduled next week and I will be voicing my concerns but is this normal? If not what could I be experiencing??

Let’s get this out there, I’m terrified. I’ve always had a fishy odor, to the point where keeping my legs closed was the only option after a long day of work. I thought that was the trick. Now, onto the shitty part. I partook in a very vigorous sexual rendezvous after finishing the meds. I typically tear during sex so I was hurting the same night. That’s another story. Fast forward to three days after I find a bump one bump. I didn’t think anything of it because I also get razer burn pretty bad.

Fast forward a few days, I know how have ulcers EVERYWHERE. My vagina is swollen, I have a white discharge. But the ulcers are the worst. They are legit everywhere, they aren’t like all next to each other but they are inside the labia, next to the labia, on my up buttocks, near my anus. I’m terrified of it being HSV but I’ve come to terms that it could be. It just blows my mind how many there are and the location of it. Could it be anything else?

Never felt anything like this before and currently can’t go to the doctor because I can’t afford to.

31F i’ve had Candida on and off in the past I was diagnosed with that last year in August but then I got rid of it in November coming July. I got a positive result again that I had Candida. But then I went to the OB/GYN when I was on my period and then the Candida came back negative a week later.

I noticed a raised bump back in summer of 2023 down there but didn’t pay much attention. Gradually it became bigger, so I was worried and started searching online, that’s when I got to know about HPV. I booked an appointment with the doctor and she confirmed, i was heartbroken and felt like my life has ended. Doctor asked me to get the vaccine and thankfully it was covered under my benefits so I got it. I started freezing treatment in Jan 2024. Doctor also prescribed a topical cream so I was doing both. The warts weren’t going away and only increasing in number. My stress level was sky high. Doctor referred me to a dermatologist, she started with her spray-cryotherapy once a month and changed the topical cream, it helped a lil but the warts were still there. Treatment kept going. Dermatologist gave up, so went back to the doctor. Cryotherapy again, once every two weeks, warts still there. Overall I think they were max 7-8 at different locations around vagina, kept changing locations though.

I think one mistake I was doing was, shaving, I later read on reddit that I shouldn’t do it. So I stopped shaving 4 months back. I still have three PERSISTENT warts that refuse to go away. Getting freezing every two weeks but I am tired. They are comparatively flat now but STILL THERE. Doctor has again referred to a dermatologist but it will take 3-6 months for sure to get a call back. I guess they would do a biopsy to see what’s actually going on or do some other treatment to make them go away.

Honestly, I am depressed to be dealing with all this alone. No sex life because I don’t want to spread this to anyone. I would appreciate if anyone can share their experience and how they were able to get rid of these. It’s been 3 years and nothing is helping.

Last month I got BV after having unprotected sex while I was on my period. My doctor prescribed metronidazole vaginal suppositories and it cleared up.

We had unprotected sex again the day after my period ended and now I’m noticing that same fishy smell again and I’m pretty sure the BV is back.

My boyfriend is really against antibiotics and thinks I should just try probiotic vaginal suppositories instead and let my body fix itself.
Has anyone actually gotten rid of BV with just probiotic suppositories? Or did you end up needing antibiotics anyway? I’d love to hear your experiences. Thank you

Hi everyone. I’m planning to start 14 day boric acid treatment for a stubborn yeast infection. I’ve never taken it before, how long after completing the treatment should I wait before having sex with my husband?

The skin around my vagina is dry and flaky, I’m not sure what’s causing it. I’ve been experiencing this on and off for a while, maybe even years. I’ve noticed it’s maybe correlated to arousal. Hey, 28F here. I was deeply afraid of starting birth control, specifically Depo.

Well, I was going to try an IUD and get that inserted during my vaginal surgery (cyst removal) but changed my mind a week before the surgery. But a few days before my 2 week check up, I got this insight to try Depo. The one I was afraid of the most. I looked more into it and it’s a shot every 3 months. I could get one shot, try it and see how it works for me so I did that. My doctor had it prescribed to me the next day and I got it the day before my check up and left the office with a sore upper arm.

Girls, that took a lot of courage! For me to not only try birth control but the birth control I was afraid of??! Like omg. I’m slowly healing myself from my health anxiety. This surgery and the bc were like the final bosses.

I recently got over a series of infections and microbiome results now show major depletion due to antibiotics. 13% good and no bad. Negative for all infections. Is this causing my runny discharge? It has no odor or color. It's completely clear, but its almost constant and it makes me feel disgusting. I have to wear a pad every day, which makes me feel like everyone can smell me even though there's no odor I just feel gross. It's affecting my mental health a lot and keeping me isolated from people. My normal discharge is very thick and creamy. How long after butchering my microbiome will it take to get this back??? Its been a couple months now. I really want to be able to walk around all day in thin leggings and a g-string without any problems. 😭

I did an Evvy test and it came back 63% protective and 35% disruptive. It took about 3 weeks to come back and within that time I started using vitanica probiotics, happy v, and lactoferrin and my symptoms have greatly improved (v burning and urinary frequency.) I’m wanting to just continue doing the probiotics and try to crowd out the bad but is it too much disruptive to do that?

I’ve never had intercourse before but recently when I look at my labia minora there is like very tiny little pimples in clusters? Hi, so my husband and I had sex yesterday and after, I noticed blood when I went to the bathroom. Throughout the day and into today, it’s been moderate/almost heavy bleeding (pink to light red, not like darker period blood). I also started passing clots. My period was less than 2 weeks ago so it’s not time for that. I have PCOS but my periods are pretty regular and I’m not on any birth control. I’m not in any pain, just the bleeding. In our 15 years together, this has never happened to me before. I will say, it hurt at the beginning of sex because I was not lubed up enough and I do feel like he hit my cervix. But does that cause this much blood and clots? Any advice?

Hi Everyone, I think I just came here to rant a little :)

3 weeks ago I went to a private gynaecologist. Despite being almost 30, I need a lot of courage for these visits. I always only had bad experiences but I know it’s important so I went. (I was molested as a child so these things are difficult)

The doctor was kind, said he sees a little inflammation and prescribed macmiror capsules. I said I don’t want to insert anything, but he said this is standard treatment and was not willing to entertain the conversation further. Said I should also get checked by an endocrinologist cause I might have PCOS.

I was able to somehow manage 3 nights with these capsules. Every night I inserted one (I used a tampon applicator) the burning became stronger and stronger. By night 3 I realised I have severe contact dermatitis from these capsules so I stopped.

2 weeks later I got my diagnosis via email. BV. By then I started having symptoms as well, right before my monthly cycle.

I went back to the gynaecologist and asked for BV treatment said I had a severe allergic reaction to the macmiror capsules and asked for oral treatment. He said he’ll give me other capsules I need to insert. By then I was almost crying I was listen, I can’t even insert them properly and I’m almost 30. I can’t even use a tampon!!! My vagina is sensitive as it is I don’t want shove up anything! He then went on to explain what angle to use and how to insert them. I asked if oral medication exists he said yes but this is better. The assistant also told me off for not having been to the endocrinologist yet. I told her coldly that I have my appointment for next week and I’m here cause I need oral medication for BV cause I had an allergic reaction to macmiror.

I left their office with two prescription of vaginal capsules 😂 i was literally sobbing having to insert them and of course these ones burn too.

Looking for some advice or help.
I’ve had a pretty gnarly yeast infection now for almost 2 1/2 months.
I’m not sure why I originally got it- it could be from anything. I’m actually pretty clean, keep my area dry, and I always use very safe/natural/fragrance free products. I have a good diet.

Normally, for a yeast infection, I’d take 3 fluconazole tablets of 150mg over the span of a week. I’d also use miconazole. Together, they clear me up pretty quickly.

WELL- that didn’t work this time!!

I have taken over 20 fluconazole tablets in the past 2 1/2 months. I have been prescribed terconazole cream, which didn’t help. I am now on a 10 week regime taking 1 fluconazole tablet every week for that duration.

I’m just getting really frustrated. I haven’t had sex with my husband in months. I haven’t worn tight clothes. I haven’t done much physical activity to avoid sweating. I haven’t gone swimming or gone on any walks in heat. I’m diligent with keeping the area clean. U strictly take my medicine as prescribed to me. I ALSO take vaginal probiotics everyday which have helped my girl a lot.

———- I did test negative for the candida glabrata strain, which is a resistant strain. I also tested negative for BV and UTI. I also tested negative for STI’s. I do however continue to test positive for the basic candida species.

HAS ANYONE EVER EXPERIENCED THIS AND DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR ME.

I just bled through a SUPER PLUS kotex tampon in like less than 2 hours! I'm not sure if I'm inserting the tampon correctly as I am new to wearing them, but I assumed I was because I don't feel anything after it's inside. I'm usually miserable on my first two days of my period, but after today I'd rank this time around as the worst I've ever experienced. This morning I could not poop because of the persistent butthole cramps I was experiencing. It was so bad I screamed out in pain multiple times and gripped the wall with all my might. I've NEVER experienced pain that severe before. I took 400mg of ibuprofen like 20 mins prior to using the restroom and after fighting for my life I decided to take another 200mg. After that, the pain subsided to a manageable level, and bleeding was light. From then on until a few minutes ago I was fine. Then I proceeded to have more lightning shot up my ass along with light radiating pain in my lower abdomen. I got up to take a shower- before I could even react there was a gush of blood. Somehow the blood bypassed my tampon. A small steady stream of blood rolled down my legs onto to my bathroom rug and floor. I also somehow managed to get it on the SHOWER WALL as I was careful climbing in, determined to not let any more blood fall. I'm extremely concerned as this is only the first day and I'm worried the 2nd day will be worse. I will be shadowing at a dental office, so I will not have the luxury to run to the bathroom when I want. Does anyone have advice on how I can manage this? Is it normal to bleed through a supposedly super tampon within 3 hours?? On top of how common are butt hole cramps because only me and one other person in my ring of friends experience this.

EDIT: if anyone can recommend some period underwear brands that would be awesome. Also I'm currently free bleeding in the shower. Apparently blood clots are not normal, but I get small ones every now and then. However, I just watched this big take a huge SPLAT!

I’m in my early 30s and recently started seeing a new guy after a decade-long relationship.
