Advice Needed My bf doesnt want to use lube

Me(24) and my bf(25) we have a very active sex life... twice a month, is that frequent?? Anyways after some time , i noticed that the tearing down there(that was a result when we first did it, yes, it bled), it grew long like yeah.. we dont buy lube, we forget to buy one. Do u think the tearing was caused by the poor lubrication? Yes my puh was wet he frequently comments abt it but i dont think its js moist enough. The thing here is that he doesnt wanna buy one. What do i do???😭😭😭

Edit: i think i need to mention this, guys he's not a masochist, he stops when he saw me bleeding and asks me if im fine but i downplayed it to him bcuz i think it was normal(sorry) and i dont want to blame him of the bleeding.

Advice Needed Excessive amounts of sex

So I have posted about this before. Not this specific thing but my very active sex life. I (32f) and my partner (35m) have an absolutely insane sex life. We are both very sexually driven and cannot keep our hands off of each other whenever we are together. If we spend a whole day together we could easily have sex 12-15 times where we both cum. He is one of those guys who can have multiples so we spend a lot of time in the bedroom. For work he is gone for 24 hours at a time so there is some gaps. Anyway. My vagina is having issues with this. My IUD was displaced and then I had replaced. I have had 2 UTIs and a yeast infection as well as I can feel my urethra like pulsing sometimes and occasionally it’s just downright sore/raw. We are big fans of the cream pie and I am just wondering if there is anything I can do to be proactive about my vaginal health at this point. I have used boric acid in the past but unsure how helpful that will be.

I am looking for recs on suppositories, supplements, tips that worked for you, similar situations, or anything that may help me continue to enjoy this man at this capacity.

I know the realistic solution would be to give it a break but I don’t want to šŸ˜…

BV but have not had sex in forever . So what gives?

I have a strange odor coming from my hooha. Maybe it’s from the heat? Because I take walks sometimes it shot outside but I wash down there.
I have had BV before and my obgyn said to use boric acid suppositories and that has helped in the past but has anyone had BV & not been sexually active before getting it?

The smell is just… crazy

Advice Needed After boric acid burning

So I had bv that was very stubborn and wouldn’t go away for two months. I had three rounds of oral antibiotics and one round of internal antibiotics, then 21 days boric acid, but I missed a day and had extreme burning when I missed it, I thought taking it would make me feel better but the burning only got worse. My doctor told me to stop taking the boric acid after that. It’s been three days since I stopped the boric acid and my vagina has been burning. The burning started immediately after missing the dose and hasn’t gone away. Is this normal while my vagina recovers? Or is this just a sign that the BV is still there?

Advice Needed genuinely whats wrong with me

18f, and my vagina has almost never looked like anything i ever see online. theres no hole, theres no clit, theres no like flaps of skin or anything around it. i cannot spread my pussy lips open at all because just the feeling of air on it is so painful. i cant put in a tampon because i genuinely dont know where the hole is, it just feels wrong anywhere i put it, and every vagina i see can just be opened so easily and you just see the clit and the hole but mine looks nothing like that… i can spread my legs completely apart and its just a straight line down to my ass. i’m going to college soon and i want to be able to have sex but i feel like nobody has the same issue as me and i just need to know whats wrong

edit: i dont think i had any chance of FGM, i was born in the us and had a very normal childhood and never remember anything like that happening to me, my only sexual history is that i tried to do it with a guy and i thought his dick was all the way in and it was only like half in inch in and he couldnt get it in because he said ā€œit was too tightā€ ive been to the obgyn and they said my vagina LOOKS normal but im worried about the fact that it hurts to spread my lips apart and that i’ve never been able to find where my actual vagina hole is

Do you use vaginal moisturizer daily or only when things get bad?

Every day feels like too much and only when things are bad feels like I'm already behind and I cannot find the middle ground anywhere. Sometimes I do it every day for a week then completely forget for two weeks and genuinely can't tell if the inconsistency is making things worse.

Should I do it as a routine instead or is everyone just vibing this as me?

Birth Control šŸš«šŸ‘¶šŸ¼ Started birth control (Depo) for the first time 3 weeks ago.

Hey, 28F here. I was deeply afraid of starting birth control, specifically Depo.

Well, I was going to try an IUD and get that inserted during my vaginal surgery (cyst removal) but changed my mind a week before the surgery. But a few days before my 2 week check up, I got this insight to try Depo. The one I was afraid of the most. I looked more into it and it’s a shot every 3 months. I could get one shot, try it and see how it works for me so I did that. My doctor had it prescribed to me the next day and I got it the day before my check up and left the office with a sore upper arm.

Girls, that took a lot of courage! For me to not only try birth control but the birth control I was afraid of??! Like omg. I’m slowly healing myself from my health anxiety. This surgery and the bc were like the final bosses.

I know I’m going to start dating again and I want to try having sex again. I want kids in the future but not right now and I don’t want to risk having a child right now so birth control it is for the peace of mind.

So far, it’s been okay. No cramps. My boobs are still my pre period boobs. Big. Oh, I also got the shot 5 days before my period was scheduled to start. That probably helped tbh.

I started spotting a day before my period was due but it’s only old blood. Still going on but it’s so small, I only notice when I go to the bathroom and wipe. That’s a win for me because the main reason other than not having kids, is that I didn’t want to keep having periods.

The only side effect I really see people mentioning is weight gain but idk, i already eat a lot. I lost a lot of weight two years ago, I was 230 but now I’m 147. I don’t mind gaining some weight back

Symptoms šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€āš•ļø Help. Photo is in the comments

THE PHOTO IS MY DRAWING, NOT REAL.

I'm 17F, I've never been to a gynecologist. i never had problems with my vulva or vagina, but last 4 days I've been itchy down there, sometimes REAL BAD especially at night. i even woke up 2 days because of how crazy itchiness was. it was all around these green areas. between the lips it's been kinda dry and wet with this dry feeling even though i still finish my period and have some blood. today i saw a super red shit around half of my vulva, and it starts with some red dots, not a lot though.

I've never had SEX. never.

i changed my period products to 100% cotton, take suprastin when it's really itching and today i bought some relief cream for relief when it's itchy and dry or burning.

idk if it's gonna really help tho.

so, can anyone help? i hope that the picture is clear, but im free to answer questions anytime anyaboutwhat.

Question Sex after boric acid

Hi everyone. I’m planning to start 14 day boric acid treatment for a stubborn yeast infection. I’ve never taken it before, how long after completing the treatment should I wait before having sex with my husband?

Also I’m trying to find side effects of boric acid as I’m planning on trying to get pregnant in the fall. Are there any side effects long term?

Advice Needed Scared after weird tender sore came up after rough sex

Okay little background info me and my boyfriend both got tested in the beginning of our relationship everything came back clear fast forward a couple months I’m back on the depo shot and my vagina shriveled up and dried up like a desert literally I didn’t think anything of it honestly so now it’s getting itchy red and irritated I’m like that’s strange but I just scratch away. We get drunk June 21st and have super rough sex that was kind of painful. I go gom scratch some more and feel two flat irritated bump sore looking things on the inside of my lips near my vulva and panicked they are tender to touch so i went to go pee and omg the burnnnnn. So I go get it tested and they tell me I have BV and I also get a swab done for hsv2(haven’t got those results back) I mean the nurse said she couldn’t really tell because my vagina was so red and irritated and when she took the cotton swab to it it was tender. I’m just so nervous because me and my boyfriend are finally good and this happened. My question is has anybody got any raw skin tears having bv or after rough sex? I would like to show a photo but don’t know how to work this app so if anyone is interested in helping me truly I would like to text privately on that end. They don’t pop it isn’t spreading it’s just there. I’m so panicked I’ve never seen anything like this on kthe vagina

Question Wtf is going on ??

So everytime my boyfriend ejaculates inside me i get bv. My discharge smells and i get treated for it. I decided to go on probiotics and i didn’t get a reaction from my boyfriend at all . I ended up finishing my probiotics and my boyfriend and i went to a drug store and they didn’t have the one i usually take even though the site said it was in stock so i had to settle for another popular one. We had sex again last weekend and my discharge started smelling again! I went to the doctor who happened to be a man they took my urine and i did a swab and he told me we might be passing BV to each other and he needs to take the medication. Then he sent me my medication for bv for me. Anyways I look at my results today from my urine and swab and everything got tested for negative ?? I don’t know how that’s possible. Usually when I get BV i have these symptoms. And if it’s not bv why is my discharge smelling nad after sex with him?. It’s not normal !

Scared of the outcome

Let’s get this out there, I’m terrified. I’ve always had a fishy odor, to the point where keeping my legs closed was the only option after a long day of work. I never thought much of it, which is concerning if its own. Nevertheless, I’ve also always had some sort of discharge as well. So I thought, you know what something has to be wrong.

Fast forward to three weeks ago. I decided to call the doctor and explain my symptoms. They prescribed me metronidazole for BV. After finishing the cycle, my odor seemed to vanish. Hooray! I thought that was the trick. Now, onto the shitty part. I partook in a very vigorous sexual rendezvous after finishing the meds. I typically tear during sex so I was hurting the same night. That’s another story. Fast forward to three days after I find a bump one bump. I didn’t think anything of it because I also get razer burn pretty bad.

Fast forward a few days, I know how have ulcers EVERYWHERE. My vagina is swollen, I have a white discharge. But the ulcers are the worst. They are legit everywhere, they aren’t like all next to each other but they are inside the labia, next to the labia, on my up buttocks, near my anus. I’m terrified of it being HSV but I’ve come to terms that it could be. It just blows my mind how many there are and the location of it. Could it be anything else?

Never felt anything like this before and currently can’t go to the doctor because I can’t afford to.

Onion-like taste from vulvar area despite good hygiene and no signs of infection

Hi, I'm looking for some medical insight into something that has been bothering me for years.

I've had what seems to be an onion-like smell/taste coming from my vulvar area ever since I was young, well before I became sexually active. I'm not sure exactly where it's originating from (vulva, labia, surrounding skin, etc.), but I suspect it may be related to the apocrine sweat glands rather than my vagina itself.

The first time I really became aware of it was when my partner performed oral sex and then kissed me afterwards. I could clearly taste an onion-like flavour, which was really embarrassing. I've also noticed the same onion-like taste on my fingers after masturbating, even when my hands are clean beforehand, which makes me think it's consistently coming from the skin or secretions in that area rather than being a one-off occurrence.

I'm very hygienic. I wash the external area regularly (without using harsh products internally), wear clean underwear, and try to support my vaginal health with kefir and probiotics. I don't have symptoms that would make me think it's an infection—no fishy odour, unusual discharge, itching, burning, swelling, or pain. My vulvar/vaginal area doesn't generally have a bad smell or leave a lingering odour; it's specifically this onion-like taste/smell that seems to be present.

I'm wondering:

Could apocrine sweat glands in the vulvar/groin area cause an onion-like smell or taste?

Are there any medical conditions, metabolic issues, skin conditions, or bacteria that could cause this despite otherwise normal vaginal health?

Are there any tests or treatments that might help identify or resolve the cause?

I’ve heard chlorella helps odour, fenugreek helps sweat taste and smell and sage helps restrict sweat glands. Ive bought the items but just seeing how effective it’s been for other people. I’ve also tried inulin fibre, raspberry leaf tea, probiotics, kefir - none of this has helped the oniony aftertaste

Clear BV with probiotics

Hi!

Last month I got BV after having unprotected sex while I was on my period. My doctor prescribed metronidazole vaginal suppositories and it cleared up.

We had unprotected sex again the day after my period ended and now I’m noticing that same fishy smell again and I’m pretty sure the BV is back.

My boyfriend is really against antibiotics and thinks I should just try probiotic vaginal suppositories instead and let my body fix itself.
Has anyone actually gotten rid of BV with just probiotic suppositories? Or did you end up needing antibiotics anyway? I’d love to hear your experiences. Thank you

Bleeding and clots after sex

Hi, so my husband and I had sex yesterday and after, I noticed blood when I went to the bathroom. Throughout the day and into today, it’s been moderate/almost heavy bleeding (pink to light red, not like darker period blood). I also started passing clots. My period was less than 2 weeks ago so it’s not time for that. I have PCOS but my periods are pretty regular and I’m not on any birth control. I’m not in any pain, just the bleeding. In our 15 years together, this has never happened to me before. I will say, it hurt at the beginning of sex because I was not lubed up enough and I do feel like he hit my cervix. But does that cause this much blood and clots? Any advice?

13 month battle with my vagina.

• Upvotes

I'm a woman in my mid 20s and as the title says, I've been struggling for 13 months from a series of unfortunate events all stemming from unprotected sex. Buckle up because its a long story, I will summarise it as much as I can

End of June 2025 I had sex with a new partner then early July I developed UTI like symptoms and sex was painful. Spent weeks trying to find an answer as doctor's tests came back negative, new partner quickly became my ex. Mid August I got the results back from a PCR test showing I have both Ureaplasma Urealyticum and Parvum, negative for all other STIs. Took antibiotics until the begging of September, and stopped taking my birth control after finishing the antibiotic course. I got my Ureaplasma clear results 6 weeks later in October. I was now clear of urinary symptoms but had developed vaginal irritation and burning with thick white jelly like discharge. Treated it as CV and used baking soda sitz baths which helped with the discharge and the burning, but the irritation I would feel at my posterior fourchette remained, I put it down to unstable hormones after coming off the pill and thought it will stop on its own. 7 months pass, it's now May 2026. I still feel the irritation at the posterior fourchette and to make things worse, I used Kirkland brand toilet paper and set my whole vulva on fire. GP tells me that it's a yeast infection that I have had for the past 7 months and gave me fluconazole as well as taking a swab sample. I stopped using the toilet paper, took the fluconazole as prescribed, the burning stopped but the redness and irritation stayed, localised to the posterior fourchette. Beginning of June 2026 I go back to the GP and see a different doctor, who proceeds to tell me I did NOT have a yeast infection, that my labs came back negative for yeast and BV. Since I have a history of eczema, she thinks I have lichen sclerosus or planus and gives me a prescription for a steroid ointment to try for a month. 3 weeks in and the burning is back and unbearable, I discontinue use and schedule to see her again.

Beginning of this month, she wants to refer me to a dermatology specialist to get to a diagnosis, but the wait list is months long. I ask her if we could try a topical estrogen in the meantime to which she agreed to try and is also curious to know if it will help me. It's been 3 and a half weeks since I was prescribed and started using the cream, for the first time since October, I have been free from irritation and feel as if I have my situation under control. My intimate skin looks much more healthy and normal, no longer red. I'm only halfway through this trial treatment but I'm already seeing results so I'm hoping to say it is a success.

13 months of issues stemming from a mistake I made with a man who wasn't worth the time... Though I will count my blessings, if this issue didn't start then I wouldn't have seen his true nature so early. Just glad to now see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Advice Needed Condoms after Canesten cream?

Hello!

The title pretty sums it up, but for some background info, I, at 21, (very unfortunately) had the great pleasure of experiencing my very first yeast infection 10 days ago right after my period šŸ™ƒ 😭yey!

9 days ago, I took a one-day canesten pessary (500mg, I think!), which cleared the infection very quickly, and I noticed my symptoms 100% clear up by day 6.

Since I was experiencing some itching at the beginning, my pharmacist recommended I apply a thin layer of canesten cream on the outside as well, up to a couple of days after the ich stops completely.

I took a 2 day break 4 days ago, and then had my very last application of the cream yesterday at around dawn because I thought I experienced some mild itching (false alarm, I think! I've been overthinking everything since I got the infection...)

Today I'm experiencing some vaginal dryness, but that's pretty much it when it comes to any symptoms. I'm happy to say it's pretty much gone by now.

I wanted to ask:

- Did I do anything wrong? Anything to watch out for if it happens again?

- Would the fact I applied a wee bit of Canesten cream on the exterior yesterday (around 35 hours ago) affect anything, sex and latex condom-wise? Could I use latex condoms with my boyfriend today, and if not, how much longer do you guys recommend I wait? I've showered like three times since then, as well.

follow-up: if latex condoms are a no, which brands would you recommend? šŸ˜…

-Is vaginal dryness normal? How long does it usually take to return to normal if so?

Thank you so much for the help, I'm still very overwhelmed with all of this and I want to make sure I'm prioritizing my (and my boyfriend's) health šŸ˜†šŸŒŸ

edit: fixed some typos :)

Advice Needed Regular stinging vagina and constant white discharge

Hello,

I had painful sex all the way back in March got a definite UTI and what I thought was thrush. And since have been battling on and off symptoms of a stinging vagina and thick white discharge. For the first 3 months I was regularly taking flucanazole and clotrimazole thinking it was a recurring yeast infection. I haven’t taken any in about 6 weeks now as symptoms go by themselves then come back. And despite testing with strong symptoms, I never once tested positive for thrush. Although the discharge is always constant and definitely different to the discharge I had my whole life before this started happening.

I have been tested 4 times for all STDs and yeast and everything came back negative because that’s all the GP and sexual health clinic seem to know how to do.

I have been reading a lot of cytolytic vaginosis and lactobacillosis which seem similar to my symptoms. I went to my GP three times then sexual health clinic once. I wanted them to look at the discharge under a microscope but they seemed to have no idea about cytolytic vaginosis or lactobacillosis.

I’m unsure what to do now, all they keep doing is testing me for the same things and I am so frustrated and at the end of my tether with this.

Anyone had any success dealing with it in the UK?

HPV-Tired of warts!

I noticed a raised bump back in summer of 2023 down there but didn’t pay much attention. Gradually it became bigger, so I was worried and started searching online, that’s when I got to know about HPV. I booked an appointment with the doctor and she confirmed, i was heartbroken and felt like my life has ended. Doctor asked me to get the vaccine and thankfully it was covered under my benefits so I got it. I started freezing treatment in Jan 2024. Doctor also prescribed a topical cream so I was doing both. The warts weren’t going away and only increasing in number. My stress level was sky high. Doctor referred me to a dermatologist, she started with her spray-cryotherapy once a month and changed the topical cream, it helped a lil but the warts were still there. Treatment kept going. Dermatologist gave up, so went back to the doctor. Cryotherapy again, once every two weeks, warts still there. Overall I think they were max 7-8 at different locations around vagina, kept changing locations though.

I think one mistake I was doing was, shaving, I later read on reddit that I shouldn’t do it. So I stopped shaving 4 months back. I still have three PERSISTENT warts that refuse to go away. Getting freezing every two weeks but I am tired. They are comparatively flat now but STILL THERE. Doctor has again referred to a dermatologist but it will take 3-6 months for sure to get a call back. I guess they would do a biopsy to see what’s actually going on or do some other treatment to make them go away.

Honestly, I am depressed to be dealing with all this alone. No sex life because I don’t want to spread this to anyone. I would appreciate if anyone can share their experience and how they were able to get rid of these. It’s been 3 years and nothing is helping.

Thanks

Symptoms šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€āš•ļø Dry vulva

The skin around my vagina is dry and flaky, I’m not sure what’s causing it. I’ve been experiencing this on and off for a while, maybe even years. I’ve noticed it’s maybe correlated to arousal. If I go to bed without having sex or masturbating, I itch in my sleep around my vagina and the itchy leads to the dry skin. But also having the dry skin causes me to itch in my sleep even if I have masturbated or had sex. I don’t wear tight clothes super often, but I do almost always wear thongs. I shave fairly infrequently. And I do have a history of eczema but only on the back of my scalp and nowhere else

Chlamydia Transmission?

Is it possible to get chlamydia if you didn’t have penetrative sex? I’ve been talking to this guy for the past month or so and on July 11, 2026, he came over to hang out and things got sexual with us kissing, dry humping (with clothes on) , and touching each other. He didn’t really touch my vagina but there was a brief moment where I was sitting on his lap and he pulled my sweats down a little and while grabbing my butt, his finger touched the opening of my vagina for a brief moment. He also rubbed my clitoris for maybe 1-2 minutes but had washed his hands right before doing this. I gave him a hand job and he came but his bodily fluids didn’t get on me. I felt a bit off down there a couple days after this encounter and just thought it was a yeast infection and started monistat but I don’t feel better. Fast forward to today, he tells me he was intimate with his ex back on June 27th, and lied to me about it and found out he has chlamydia. Unfortunately, I am a hypochondriac and I am worried if the brief moments he did touch my vagina, if that could transmute chlamydia? I’m worried because he touched his penis and then touched my vagina later throughout the night, this could be transmission. I also asked him if he had oral sex with her and he says no but I’m also worried because we had some intense making out and I’m worried if they had oral sex and he has oral chlamydia and gave it to me when we were kissing. I know this maybe sounds crazy but I’ve had a traumatic sexual health experience before and this whole situation just triggered me back to those feelings and having vaginal symptoms isn’t helping. I’m going to get tested tomorrow but just hoping to get some folks opinions, thank you!

Symptoms šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€āš•ļø 13% good bacteria and 0% bad, very runny discharge

I recently got over a series of infections and microbiome results now show major depletion due to antibiotics. 13% good and no bad. Negative for all infections. Is this causing my runny discharge? It has no odor or color. It's completely clear, but its almost constant and it makes me feel disgusting. I have to wear a pad every day, which makes me feel like everyone can smell me even though there's no odor I just feel gross. It's affecting my mental health a lot and keeping me isolated from people. My normal discharge is very thick and creamy. How long after butchering my microbiome will it take to get this back??? Its been a couple months now. I really want to be able to walk around all day in thin leggings and a g-string without any problems. 😭

Evvy results! Antibiotics or probiotics?

I did an Evvy test and it came back 63% protective and 35% disruptive. It took about 3 weeks to come back and within that time I started using vitanica probiotics, happy v, and lactoferrin and my symptoms have greatly improved (v burning and urinary frequency.) I’m wanting to just continue doing the probiotics and try to crowd out the bad but is it too much disruptive to do that?

Sexual Health Scared I have herpes???

I’ve never had intercourse before but recently when I look at my labia minora there is like very tiny little pimples in clusters? They look similar to the blisters I see when I look up vaginal herpes. Recently it has been slightly itchy. But when I first noticed these things I had a horrible headache for 3 days straight which I saw could be a symptom, but I don’t feel any pain on genitals.
I’m horrified I don’t know where I could have gotten it and I don’t know what to do. What else could this be??
