Yesterday, I saw the 75% offer banner. I signed up intending to use my Google Voice number on my secondary phone instead of getting a new one. However, as soon as I entered my phone number details, my service was immediately canceled. Complete BS!
I'm switching 3 lines to GoogleFi, currently trying to get a P10PXL for myself, and 2 P10P for my parents. The order has been cancelled 4 times since 10 days ago. It has finally been escalated, and they still don't know what is going on.
I see the P11 is releasing in 3 weeks, will they have the same type of deals for the 11 that they have for the 10 now? Right now the P10P is free, and the P10PXL is $200 after promotional deals.
I don't really NEED the best of the best, but I don't mind the relatively free upgrade. I am upgrading from the P8P, my parents have some random stuff now, so anything is an upgrade.
Since switching to Google Fi on my iPhone, I can answer calls from my apartment gate, but pressing 9 to buzz people in does not work. The gate machine doesn't hear the tone at all.
I called support, but the agent just kept repeating that Google Fi "has nothing to do with DTMF" and refused to help.
From my research, Google Fi's heavy call compression/VoIP routing is scrubbing out the touch-tone audio frequencies before they reach the old analog gate box.
Does anyone have experience with this, or does anyone have a solution?
I'm trying to sign up for Google Fi, but my account says Waiting for phone activation.
I literally tried Google Fi last year and had the same issue so I just gave up and switched to Mint Mobile.
A full year later and I still have the same damn message on my account.
I keep trying to ask Google support for help, but they insist I don't have any Google Fi account.
Ran Speedtest by Ookla (speedtest.net) and it used over 1gb of data. On Flex plan that is over $10. Just a warning to those on the Flex plan to not use speedtest to test Google Fi's network.
My Pixel 9 Pro Fold started to crash recently when opened/unfolded and then returned to closed. This happened with different apps and from simply the home screen with all apps closed. Recently it crashed and I was able to hold power and volume down to power the phone off with the screen open, but it wouldn't switch back to the outer screen. I just left it off and charged it for about 15 minutes and it did power on restoring use of the external screen. The next time I opened/unfolded, it crashed again and I can't get it to boot up. With the phone unfolded, it will show the G logo for about 1 minute and go back to a black screen.
I visited Google's support site for suggestions and was offered a free replacement. I followed the instructions provided to send my phone and got an email telling me I would have to pay $500! I took pictures of my phone in perfect condition before I sent it and never had any issues before this. They claim they found a camera issue (impossible since it can't boot up!). 1st tier support said the issue they claim to have found is still eligible for the free replacement. Since they haven't gotten any reply to their escalation requests to review the decision, my original phone is being returned to me and they can't do anything about it. Please help me escalate this to someone that can keep their promises.
Hey Ya'll currently looking into getting a pixel 10 through Google Fi Wireless and am curious on how long the device will take to get here? I live in Northern Maine so i'm worried about my phone taking forever to get here due to all the horror stories i'm reading. Is it really that bad?
I teach online, and as a part of my job I have to sent text messages to students regularly, and often the same text to several dozen students at once. About a month ago, I was sending a reminder about course deadlines to all 300 students, and all of sudden my RCS chats stopped working. I believe I may have triggered an anti-spam in the network. I tried to get it fixed with support, and after all of their troubleshooting, which I had already done on my own anyways, nothing worked. I figured I'd just keep rolling with sms for now, but I recently found out some of my students cannot send me messages or receive my sms messages.
I once again called support, and after an hour, they had me send them screenshots of failed sms messages. I did, and after a few days, they emailed me with that case number and told me to call and give them that case number so that I could be connected with the engineering team. But when I called, the service reps keep trying to solve the issue themselves and refuse to send me to the engineering team. Instead, they once again send me through the troubleshooting process, and then ask me to send them screenshots of failed sms messages, again. This is pointless, as the most recent failed messages that I've sent are the same ones from last time. I don't know which students may also having the same issue, so I have no way to know which students, other than the 1, cannot message me. But the CSR refused to accept that answer and insisted on "opening an investigation" even though they did one already.
I had a recent issue with FedEx not delivering to my address, they claimed my address was wrong. On that day GoogleFi shows the device as being returned in the app anyways. This was day one. On day 2, FedEx delivers after I called ,on day one, and confirmed the address is correct.
Now GoogleFi I still showing the device as being returned, and will only add data with a data-only sim. Trying to get googlefi to address so i can add warranty, within the 30 days of purchase on an eligible device. In the app I am unable to add warranty as the device is still showing returned. Funny enough google fi support shows the shipment as having arrived.
I have an ongoing ticket, I'll see if this issue get resolved. I'm somewhat concerned they may try to charge me the full cost of the device when the inventory and see the device isn't actually returned.
I'm on the Flexible plan with a single line. I'm thinking of replacing my phone with one of the Samsung 26 phones purchased thru Fi. The phone seems to be deeply discounted.
So I'm guessing that there are some potential pitfalls, when migrating to the new phone? I contacted FI support...they said replacing my phone is okay for the promo
I know that I need to connect the new phone, to the email address associated with my Fi account.
Will the new phone ask me during power up, if I'm transferring my existing line?
Where are my likely screw up points? ** I did read an earlier post, but gee, it was complicated. Tell it to me like a 5 year old!
THANKS
Edit 1: Should of titled this "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is"
Im using my iphone and copied the link from reddit to open up with chrome where im signed it.
However, there is the $35 essentials plan stuck in my cart.
Ive cleared the cache in my Chrome browser and it still remains.
How can remove the it from my cart and only get the promo plan?
Trying to decide how best to utilize the new 75% off promo with my Note 10 that doesnt work with an eSim. I travel in 4 days -- is there any way to sign up to the promo but pickup a kit locally at a Best Buy or another retailer who may sell it? Or may be there's a way to request Fi to expedite physical SIM shipping for free - does anyone know where I could call?
Also, are the plans of equal capabilities (speed, uptime etc) whether one uses an eSIM or physical SIM? Will be equally easy to port my current number to Fi down the line if I choose to get a physical SIM wiht them?
how can I check to see if my most payment was posted to my Google Fi acct?
my credit card on file expired last month. I forgot to update it on Google Fi website.
Yesterday, Google Fi sent me an email saying the payment was declined.(not surprising, since the expiration date was not updated) I went ahead and updated the credit card number and expiration date.
However, as of this morning, I can't figure out how to see if they processed the payment again.....if they did, how do I see that it was posted to my acct? I'm going to Europe next week and don't want to arrive and find out that Google Fi turned off my service because of this.
I've been with Fi for 3 months. Phone call quality is ok, but a little crackly. It's especially bad when someone is trying to leave a voicemail - multiple people have commented that the greeting or receiving message sounds terrible and they're not sure if the call is going through.
I'm in Chicago suburbs, but should my phone's location even matter for the vm greeting? Is there something I should change or a setting to review?
I'm on TMo, about to take up the 75% offer from Google. So it looks like I just have to download the Fi app to activate service. For those who've switched from TMo, did you have to notify TMo that you're switching? I also have their home Internet and not sure how that's going to change, anyone in that situation, I'd appreciate info about your experience as well. Thanks.
Is there a way to test drive to Google Fi plan before signing up to the 75% off for 12 months service? Ideally I would like to sign up for the 75% off promo, but not port in my phone for some time until I'm sure the service is good in my area.
Say I sign up and they allow me to wait to port in my number for a week, and then I find out service isn't good, would they them allow me to cancel without having to pay for the full month?
Hello, looking for help. Can’t activate a new line. Steps 1 and 2 and eSIM activation goes well but then I return to the app and it seems to be updating but then nothing happens. Done this a couple of times after deleting the eSIM and reinstalling and deleting and reinstalling the app but no luck. I also noticed this only happens when I switch my data to the google fi eSIM, otherwise if I’m using data from the old eSIM it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I have recently upgraded my iPhone 16 to the iOS 27 beta, could this be the reason? What am I doing wrong?
