Are medical hampers considered a good corporate gift?

Would you appreciate if your employer gifted you gym equipment or supplements pack or a glucometer? We were looking for out-of-box ideas and a colleague suggested these. I am conflicted.

i was going to buy her the caraway 16 piece ceramic set. all the pots and pans essentially.

her parents got us one of the pans for christmas a couple years ago and she loves it. we currently have stainless stuff and she has never complained about it but it feels like it could be upgraded. just curious.

Birthday ideas for my boyfriend (31M)

My boyfriend is turning 31 soon, and I want to make this birthday feel really special. He’s the kind of person who always goes out of his way to make me feel loved and celebrated, and this year I want to match that energy but I’m honestly struggling because being expressive doesn’t come naturally to me.

A bit about him:
He’s a proud plant dad, loves reading, loves watching f1, Complete nerd when it comes to history and politics.

I’m not necessarily looking for expensive gifts. I’m more interested in thoughtful ideas.

If you’ve ever done something really meaningful for a partner (or had something done for you), I’d love to hear it. Especially if you’re someone who’s not naturally great at expressing your feelings but found a way to make it count.

Thanks in advance!

Cheap wedding gifts?

Plow & Hearth - Drinkware Gift Set Ceramic Cup O' Java, Rest of our Lives, 17oz, Set of 2 for $25.97

Hi -
Would this be an appropriate wedding gift? With the way prices are these days, I wasn't sure if it would be okay to buy a wedding gift under $30?

What do you think? I want to buy since they are on sale, but worried that it wouldn't be taken well. (I'm just a guest).

Wedding: Male (30) & Female (28).
We aren't very close, a friend of the family.

Gift for a music-obsessed friend who owns all the gear — something they'd never buy themselves?

Upvotes

stuck on a gift for a friend deep into music who already has the headphones/speakers/vinyl. generic gear feels pointless. i've had way better luck with something tied to a specific artist or a memory — novelty/collectible they'd never buy for themselves but feels personal. what's the most creative music-related gift you've given or gotten that wasn't just more gear?

Looking for Gift Ideas Gift ideas for teenage brother!

Hi guys! I would love some help with ideas for my brother's 18th birthday gifts. My budget is roughly $400.

He likes fashion and goes thrifting a lot, loves music (rap and RNB), is really into film making and acting, as well as Star Wars and Disneyland. Our family tends to get him records and clothes so maybe not looking for much in that category. We lost our home to the some big fires two years ago and he lost a lot of his things so I'm trying to make these birthdays feel really special for him. Thank you for the help, I'd love any and all ideas!!

Help me keep my “best gift giver” title

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for birthday gift ideas for my little sister, who is turning 12 soon.

She’s one of those kids whose interests seem to change every other week, so it’s really hard to keep up. She likes animals (especially horses), but she’s not really into reading, anime, Disney, or Harry Potter.

The problem is… she never tells me what she wants because she says she wants to be surprised by my creativity. She also keeps telling everyone that I always have the best gift ideas, so now I feel like I have to live up to that again.

For some context:
-Two years ago I got her a custom neon sign with her name on it, and she absolutely loved it.
-Last year I got her a mini fridge for her room, which was also a huge hit.
-Last Christmas I gave her a mini thermal printer, and she still uses it all the time.

I also try to spend quality time with her throughout the year, so for birthdays I usually focus on giving her one really nice physical gift and then make the whole presentation special by wrapping it creatively or adding some DIY touches.

Now I’m stuck because I feel like I’ve already used most of my best ideas, and I really need inspiration for the main gift.

My budget is around €20–100, but I’m flexible if something is really special.

What are the coolest gifts you’ve seen or given to a 12-year-old girl? I’m open to anything—gadgets, room decor, DIY kits, hobbies… literally any idea is appreciated!

Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻

Help! Any ideas for artisan market-style gifts before Saturday.

okay

it's my mom's birthday and she's the kind of person who lights up over handmade things.

Small batch food stuff is her weakness.

problem is i can't get to a proper local artisan market in time and i refuse to give her something soulless from a big box shelf. Has anyone ordered from localcart? what's a handmade gift that's made someone in your life happy?

Looking for Gift Ideas Looking for a meaningful keepsake for my girlfriend’s dog Rocky who passed away — any suggestions?

Post image
7 Upvotes

My girlfriend’s dog Rocky passed away last month, and this past month has been really difficult for her.

I’ve been thinking about getting her a keepsake to remember Rocky by. I’d love to find something meaningful that can help her feel connected to him, but also something practical that she can actually use or keep close — not just something that ends up sitting in a corner collecting dust.

I’m looking for something unique and personal, not a generic gift. Maybe something handmade, customized, or something that captures Rocky’s personality.

If anyone has given or received a special pet memorial gift that truly meant something, I’d really appreciate your recommendations.

Thank you ❤️

Gift for boyfriend

Hi!

New account, special made for this question. Thought you guys would know the answer.

I'm dating a guy for 1,5 years.

He loves road cycling, mountain biking, and gravel biking and owns a bike for every if this discipline. True to the Dutch stereotype, however, he is thrifty. He ends up complaining that the gear is never quite up to scratch (think water bottles, and so on). It’s the same story with motorcycles, he loves them but refuses to spend much money, so while he currently owns 2 motorcycles. They all have various issues (KTMs). Even so, he loves heading off for a weekend of riding through Germany.

Since so much of his time goes into motorcycling and cycling, I was wondering if there’s a gift that would suit those interests.

Post edit: He’s turning 36. He doesn’t like a fuss, but he does love food. He has a cat. He’s always doing DIY projects around the house—and he already has an absolute ton (18287382983x) of tools for it. He’s from a more rural part of Brabant in the Netherlands (whereas I’m from a city in South Holland), so sometimes our worlds feel completely different.

Other ideas are, of course, also welcome.

Many thanks in advance for your input.

Looking for Gift Ideas Gift for the 21st Birthday of a STEM Nerd

My 21st birthday is coming up and my parents want to gift me something, but I am not sure what to ask for. Any suggestions?

I am a huge nerd, I love math, physics, variant sudokus, specialty coffee and literature. You would think it would be easy to find something for me, but I have no clue what I want. Mostly everything that I need, I already have it.

What I do not want : I already have good electronic items, so I definitely do not want a new one. I have a good coffee setup. Besides, my sister is gifting me a moka pot. I do not really need an upgrade to my coffee setup. I don't want to ask for a math/phy textbook either.

Requirements in a gift : I prefer things that are meaningful, and will last. I also need to travel frequently and will be moving a lot in the upcoming years. So I would like something that is practical to transport. For example, even though I would love an espresso machine, it would be impossible to transport it anywhere. Same goes with any antiques or decor items. You can assume the budget to be (reasonably) flexible.

I look forward to hearing your suggestions :)

Looking for Gift Ideas Gift idea for someone who's always the unofficial photographer?

I have a friend who somehow ends up taking photos at every family gathering and trip. They're always making sure everyone else is in the picture, but they rarely end up in any photos themselves.

I'd like to get them something thoughtful as a thank-you for always capturing those memories. I'm hoping for something meaningful rather than another generic gift.

Has anyone found a gift for someone like this that they genuinely appreciated? I'd love to hear your ideas.

Looking for Gift Ideas Gift Ideas for Parents?

Posting here for more help!

Hey! I’m the daughter of two immigrants who would rather die than ask for help or gifts. I’m going off to college soon and I’m planning to have a decent amount of money from side hustles and small gigs. I wish to buy them each a gift before I go as thanks for the support they have given me for most of my life! Our relationship is complicated but I know they are trying their best 🙏

My mother is 48, she enjoys makeup, k dramas, and bags and stuff of that nature. My father is 44, he’s a construction worker and he enjoys music, beer, and grilling.

My father had mentioned wanting a new cooler for when he goes to work. The one he currently has is broken and older than me maybe. He takes his lunch in his termo but I notice he always takes it in his cooler as well. Maybe a lunch bag or something of the sort?

My mother has makeup, but it is old makeup she has from when she moved from Mexico. I wish to refresh her makeup with a budget! She doesn’t do much, but I notice her eye liner and eye makeup is usually what she leans to. Her liner is dry and I can’t really tell what product it is, but I know her makeup is from jafra! I was thinking about hitting up Miss A, as it’s my go to!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I want to get my bf cool stuff for Christmas and get them slowly over time so he can open a big gift yk? He loves Godzilla, jjba (thinking of getting the veller box?) , Evangelion and video games like dark souls and Elden ring and stuff like that. He likes action figures more than statues. I’ve gotten him like collectible cards, posters, figures, and then some cute mini figures I’ve found at popmart. Idk how to find meaningful stuff that aren’t toooo pricey. I usually get him one big thing but he always gets me multiple little things and. I wasn’t him to experience multiple stuff sooo please give options 🙏

Bridal shower gift ideas needed

The bride is late 30s and her home decor style is quite luxury, classic, neutrals, and a bit coastal. What are some good ideas under $100? I’d love to know what other brides enjoyed receiving at their showers too. Thanks so much!

Looking for Gift Ideas I need a little help or idea/s for a gift for my partner/significant other

So I would like a bit of help of what could I gift/give/make to my gf for our 2 year anniversary. Last year I gave her a bouquet of roses and other greenery, personal letter that covered everything that happened in that year and few more "inside jokes" related things with lots of love of course. And for a 2nd thing I made her is a photo album with 300+ photos with us where most of them are both of us in them, some with me only and some with her only and quite a lot of them have message around them that is throback to that moment or something mostly realated to them.

And a gift I got from her is a lovely fully custom made some sort of "magazine" with many photos of us ofc and lovely personal messages all around them like a true magazine. She made it fully from scratch in Canva I think.
(so if anybody needs an idea, hers could be one for you as well)

But this year I really don't have an idea. I've been a bit overwhelmed with work for the last 4 months and just didn't have THAT creative thought for it unfortunately. I will get her flowers again of course and I've already looked for some ideas but most of them either fit me at the moment or they seem (to me at least) like a lower effort or something I would gift/make her for Valentine for example, or some other random day to lighten up her day with it.
From the time of writing this (23rd of July) I have a bit less than 2 weeks before our anniversary soooo ... I'm all ears, if you have an idea that includes DIY or some sort of craftsmanship I'm ready to learn it if I don't know it already, because this is important to me and I wanna try my best for her.
