Comparison between GTA VI and Wolverine PS5 marketing when both were 4 months away from launch

Post image

We got Wolverine gameplay and pre-orders only 2.5 half months before launch. And going by previous R* games we can expect the same with GTA VI too (about 2 months before launch).

Gameranx video on trailer 3 and I agree

Gameranx just uploaded a video on why there might not be a trailer 3 and skip straight to gameplay

To summarise:

Seen a lot in the cinematic trailers already

Preorders already out

Might dampen the hype as we have seen so much already and people want gameplay

What do you think?

Saint Denis (in RDR2) is A Good Example

If y’all have played RDR2, you are very aware of Rockstar’s fictional version of the New Orleans called Saint Denis.

In my opinion, this is the closest example we have to what Rockstar is capable of with GTA 6.

Saint Denis is a densely-populated city with dozens of NPCs on almost every street within that section of the map. And most of these NPCs aren’t just standing around doing nothing. Some are working, some are socializing with each other, and almost everyone is interacting with the world around them (including you).

The city has constant movement, continuous background noise, a lot of different architecture, and a ton of random events, and feels genuinely lived in.

Although this city is much smaller in comparison to other cities Rockstar has had in previous GTA games, it feels extremely alive and proves one simple theory:

A dense city with a lot going on is a million times more enjoyable than a large city with not much to interact with.

Now, Saint Denis was designed and implemented within a game built for the base PS4/Xbox One almost 8 years ago. It ran smoothly then and runs even better now on next gen consoles.

Can you imagine what Rockstar is actually capable of with next-gen technology, new patents, and all the time they’ve taken to develop GTA 6?

A lot of people are doubting that Rockstar will deliver on what we saw in the trailers. In those trailers, we saw:

-Very populated areas that consisted of dozens (if not hundreds) of NPCs seemingly
-NPCs existing in their own little routines/worlds
-NPCs interacting with each other in ways we haven’t seen (for example: taking a group selfie or playing sports together)
-Increased traffic density
-Increased draw distance
-Some of the best (if not the best) graphics I have ever seen in a video game

The list can truly go on.

I understand that seems like a lot to deliver on, especially compared to other modern open-world games. But if anyone can, it’s Rockstar. They usually set the standard for years to come. RDR2 is genuinely still one of the best looking and most technically sound video games of all time, even until this day.

And after playing it again in the big 2026, and I’m beginning to see visions of what Rockstar could make happen with GTA 6.

I’m expecting every city to feel like a version of Saint Denis (outside of culture and architecture). Actually, I expect every city to be like Saint Denis on crack with even more NPC density, more interactions, more things to do, more random events popping up, just more alive overall.

Seeing what Rockstar was capable of years ago has me so pumped for this game. I can’t wait to see how far they’ve taken things.

He actually said that GTA6 will be delayed to November 2026 2 months before the actual delay and nobody believed him then ,now it's the same situation. Trailer 3 will drop in August most likely.

Is GTA 6 fulfilling any GTA dream you have?

Since the first time I played the rub out mission in GTA Vice City and we take the M4 (or M16?) from the car's trunk, I always wished for a mechanic like that for a GTA game.

Only took it 24 years.
Jude Bellingham wasn't even born yet.

Aleksandra Simeonova possible relation?

Aleksandra Simeonova, a Bulgarian actress now based in New York City, has listed a credit for a "Russian Character" in a Rockstar video game. - maybe could be related to this place.

2nd: Rockstar is still being satirical. "Galina" may sound like a normal Eastern European name, but it also evokes "hen/chicken" as a playful stereotype, fitting Rockstar's tradition of using names with humorous undertones.

I hope they add an equivalent or this cheat in this game, it was genuinely my most favourite thing to do in this game. It would be amazing to see a nod to that in this game.

In L.A. Noire VR, the minimap is integrated into the car’s dashboard. GTA 6 could use a similar system in first-person mode, with modern cars displaying navigation on infotainment screens and older cars using a phone mounted on the dashboard, to provide a more immersive driving experience

If this is implemented, it makes you question what they'll do with third-person driving. I can't think of a real way to implement an 'immersive' navigation system in third person. It'll still have to be the minimap in the bottom corner. Do you have any good ideas?

We live in a tiktok era, marketing has changed to shortterm floods of content. The marketing will intensify very late. So the whole algorithm anywhere in the world is GTA6. Your grandma will know about it.

Don’t count on any previous marketing strategies. Gameplay trailer etc will come very late. Real life marketing, the week of release. Short term hype and sales is the marketing world of 2026. You see a certain thing go viral online, that week it sells a lot. Not 4-5 months later.

What features would you love to see in GTA 6 that have never been in a GTA game before?

I'm not talking about things like better graphics or more interiors. I mean completely new gameplay mechanics that would make the world feel deeper and more dynamic.

One idea I have was to frame NPCs for crimes you committed (part of antagonise system), or to be able to call services like ambulances and police to a location.

Local midnight or universal release?

Do we have any information on which option is more likely? I really hope its a universal release. If not, I’m staying far away from social media the moment New Zealand gets access.

How evil do people think the main protagonists will be?

GTA protagonists are all villains with varying degrees of evilness. There's Victor Vance or Franklin then there's Claude Speed or Trevor. How bad do yall think the main characters in 6 will be?

Relationship Dynamics/Infighting & Story Implications

I feel like a really messy bitch for this but I do hope there comes a point where the characters have a good catalyst for tension between them.

It would be interesting if it leads to a point that requires the player to pick a side and see a portion of the story through one players actions.

Considering the story will be focused on Jason and Lucia’s relationship it would be nice to flesh out their stories by their past coming back.

> Jealous Exes
> Baby Daddy/Baby Mama Drama
> Disagreements leading to splintering

One of the recent alleged leaks mentioned a trust/relationship meter, it would definitely be interesting to see if actual relationship dynamics were brought forward as a catalyst to flesh out the history and backstory of the characters as well as overarching story implications such as endings, mission availability, etc.
