π» Events π» DIY for party - advice on reflexing roses
Iβm a novice hobbyist and am practicing DIYing a few arrangements for a party, and I tried reflexing roses for the first time. What roses are best for this purpose and do you have any general advice?
The petals on the pink ones tore almost every time I reflexed - I made it work but want to avoid this. Is it possible they were not open enough? How can you tell when theyβre ready?
The orange ones were much more pliable, though I prefer the more dramatic look of the pink. I couldnβt tell what kind of roses they were since the label at Trader Joeβs was vague. Are these garden roses?

π Feedback π 3 Bouquets, 1 palette
Hi. Did some arrangements to practice and tried to at least change the mood. Any thoughts and input on what I can improve on?

π Guidance + Learning π Iβm gonna remake this arrangement, any tips to make it better?
This is an arrangement i made about a month ago experimenting with shapes, but i wasnβt satisfied with it so iβll be remaking it soon. Iβm planning on placing my hydrangea further in to make a proper crescent moon-shape, and iβll be using a hydrangea with a more contrasting color to make that shape more obvious as well. Any other tips would be appreciated.

π Summer π To take out the pink dahlia or leave
Should I take this big pink dahlia out to allow more appreciation for the other flowers or leave ? Itβs beautiful in person but makes it hard to pay attention to all flowers when photographed or looking straight on.

π Feedback π First attempt at some arrangements β please share your thoughts or feedback!
Made these for my engagement party: one larger centerpiece and six bud vases. Flowers came from a shop that works with local flower farmers and foragers. Flowers here include: delphinium, baptisia, ranunculus, wood anemone, and forget-me-nots, plus some eucalyptus I grabbed from the grocery store.
Was attempting to go for a less structured, wild appearance. I think the bud vases turned out better and the larger arrangement needs more focal or like, a larger accent flowers as there is some space visible.
How are these for a first attempt. Iβm curious if with continued education/practice, I might be able to make something good enough to display at my wedding (like a welcome table arrangement). I found the actual act of arranging relaxing, so thinking making one the day before my wedding might be good for my mental health lol.
Thanks!

π Feedback π An update to the wedding shower centerpieces!
galleryThank you all SO much for your advice and pointers β I have been starting to stress over this a bit, so everyoneβs kind words and help were amazing!
The first three photos are my current WIP (I feel like I could take out a few focal flowers). Photos 4 & 5 are my first and second attempts, respectively. If anyone has advice on how to improve on this, Iβm so open!!
I did get new foam for artificial flowers. This new piece sits much, much lower, so people will be able to see lol! And Iβll have to go back to Michaelβs for another stem of the greenery I used. π₯°

π Summer π Tiger Lillies
Iβve been walking by these peach colored tiger lillies at the farmers market for a few weeks now but wasnβt sure what to do with them. Decided to mix them with some gladiolus for a peaches and cream vibe and use the smaller yellow gloriosas with the dark brown center to pick up the brown on the petals. They arenβt my favorite colors but sometimes I like the challenge of doing something different.

π Feedback π Looking for feedback on my first contemporary/modern inspired arrangement
Hi all! I work at a flower shop, where I mostly create more traditional arrangements. I wanted to challenge myself and try something more contemporary using a mix of flowers from my garden and other blooms I had available.
Iβd love some constructive feedback. What works, what would you change, and how could I make it feel more refined or sophisticated? Thanks!
