Spice of Life: Berry Edition adds daily food cravings. Completing them slows down hunger drain, or freezes it and keeping a streak can reward you with several hunger free days. It also reworks hunger with passive drain, removes saturation. You can find all information on modrinth and curseforge

Discussion I Spent Half a Year Chasing a Microstutter.. That was Caused by Windows

I just wanted to let anyone who has been experiencing a microstutter what worked for me. I was playing ATM10 and Better Minecraft modpacks. I had just purchased a new computer and noticed drastic FPS dips (into the 40s with shaders) and a pretty consistent microstutter. It wasn't game-breaking, but let me tell you, it drove me insane.

I tried EVERYTHING. Capping my FPS to various amounts, toggling V-sync, messing with NVIDIA settings, changing the Java argements, adjusting the RAM from 6-16 GB and everything in between, messing with the graphics settings in the game, toggling shaders off and on, you name it, I did it. I spent hours crawling Reddit and every other forum and website God ever made.

I had toyed with the idea of installing Linux and finally pulled the trigger by dual-booting Windows and Cachyos. As soon as I downloaded ATLauncher and got into the game, the difference was like night and day. Way better FPS out of the box even with shaders and no microstutter!

It was gone, guys. Windows made my computer run like shit for reasons unknown and also fixed a bunch of other minor issues I was having like my computer acting weird when waking up from hibernation and my trackpad occasionally taking a dump.

Oh, before I forget, I'm running a Core Ultra 9 275hx with a 5070 and 32GB of RAM. I bought my PC before the ram-pocalypse to play modded Minecraft. Since Minecraft is so CPU dependent, I knew it was capable of running Minecraft smoothly, I just didn't realize Windows was taking such a toll on the poor thing.

Anyways, that's my experience for anyone who's having issues with this. Cheers!

I made something I made a LIDAR Horror mod that makes the game terrifying

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

2.7k Upvotes

I have made a mod that transforms the normal Minecraft experience into a nightmare using Lidar point clouds. The player starts in complete darkness and has to navigate using only their own Lidar device.

The mod is made as a survival/horror challange. There are currently 4 tiers of Lidar scanners, each making the job of surviving and navigating a little easier (ore and mob reckognition, depth maps, etc.) with a very handy lidar configuration menu that grows with the tier (G by default). Player spawns with tier 1 and each new tier is crafted from materials that are challenging to get with the current one. The last scanner can technically be unlocked right before reaching the End.

The light can be restored by "eating" a new item and that is the Sun, which can be crafted after defeating the Ender Dragon, Warden and the Wither in the Lidar darkness. If you for some reason do not like the light and want back, there is also an option for you and that is to "eat" a Black Hole item.

If you have any feedback, feel free to leave a comment.

this isn't really that big of a problem with me. i just found it extremely funny that your whole inventory with starter books. i'm honestly just going to get rid of them anyways (except the quest book aka the only true important one)

It's for my YouTube police series

Since our modpack is very resource-intensive, I'm trying it without shaders. What do you think?

I made something The Wasteland's First Honey Factory

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

It's been around a year since I started working on this modpack and I finally cracked the code on how to survive it (team up with a friend). So to celebrate I figured I would make what I assume is our server's first honey factory.

Also, sorry for the FPS, OBS hates it when I record while using a shader

If you want to give it a shot, there is a link to it here:

Looking for mod(s) I need mod recommendations

I have a very weird and specific request for some mods. I've never really been into Minecraft modding, so I dunno... any mods whatsoever. Most I've played in depth is Create, and I'd like to take a break from really big tech mods like that for the time being.

I like Vintage Story's progression and ways of doing things. Stuff like pottery, smithing, etc. It's like there's ALWAYS something to do, and I am rewarded for doing it. I'm not really a huge fan of harder survival however, and VS takes a liiiittle too long to get some stuff done, but I reckon I can just tweak those things as needed if I'm going to be modding Minecraft.

Speaking of which, I like Minecraft's aesthetic better overall. I'm also kind of just more familiar with that game too.

I've taken a look at TerraFirmaCraft, and honestly... it kind of changes too much for me. Gregtech seems fun, but 1.12 by now is really old and I'd like to stick with 1.20 if possible, so I'm not having to sift through years of documentation and lost media.

So basically what I'm looking for is the mechanics and complexity of VS, but the ease and creative freedom of Minecraft. That's not too much to ask, right??? :D

Oh and HUGE BONUS if it has a programmer art style. I like Jappa's textures, but they just don't feel the same as the old stuff. I don't really care either way though, so whatever.

The whole thought process basically went like this: saw it → liked it → wanted to turn it into a player model → Figura to the rescue → couldn't fit the entire video into the model, so had to split it into frames and switch between them with code → profit 👍

Looking for mod(s) Mod pack(s) that make exploring the world a necessity.

I really enjoy modded Minecraft, however I am quite still the amateur and I usually just play whatever looks cool on Modrinth. I really enjoy a cozy, peaceful mod pack that allows for exploration. I enjoyed Homestead (still playing) and CozyHaven, but they both felt lackluster in exploration across the world. I want a mod pack that focuses on exploration while still is cozy like those two, and I'm not sure what that could be. If you recommend some, thankyou!

Discussion RPG Slop Plaguing the Modpack Scene

Is anyone else getting tired of seeing similar, copy-paste, rpg slop modpacks flooding the modpack listings? Don't get me wrong, I have played and enjoyed a quite a few of the big rpg packs throughout the years. It's just getting boring seeing the same mods put into more quote "Unique" and "Not like those other RPG Packs" modpacks that all do the same thing with little to no variance on gameplay. There's no effort, no character and no direction! Give me a cool farming pack, a new magic/tech progression pack or something. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough but I swear every time I pull up curseforge or modrinth I just see "insert generic rpg title" packs everywhere. Does anyone else feel the same or am I crazy?

Question [Stoneblock 4] Having trouble importing enough water into my Fission Reactor to increase my nuclear waste generation.

I am playing stoneblock 4 and trying to up my nuclear waste creation. My limiting factor is water input.

I can get my fission reactor to burn at 2.1mb/t without water loss but 2.2 operates at a loss.

I have tried multiple avenues:

I have 15 import valves attached to extended export busses exporting water with max acceleration cards and an infinite water drive in my system.

I have 18 input valves attached to mekanism ultimate mechanical pipes attached to a pitcher plant on all available sides (not sure if that matters).

And I have an extended I/O Port with an infinite water cell in it attached to a storage bus on an input valve filtered to water. The I/O Port is powered by an energy acceptor and a flux plug.

With all 3 methods hooked up at the same time, I get to the 2.1mb/t. Each method seems to only add a slight increase.

Does the fission reactor itself have an input limit or have I just reached the limitations of the pack?
