Ask FedEx Express driver didnt do scheduled pickup...am I stuck w/this driver every day?

Paid for express pickup at home and driver marks package as picked up even though it wasn't. Called fedex and they said the driver scanned someone else's pickup number by mistake but someone from local facility would call me. The did pretty quickly and were very apologetic and said they talked to the driver and he was going to come get my package still. They tell me to keep the package outside and give me a new time for tonight. Time comes and goes and guy never shows up to get the package. Of course by this point there is no one at Fedex to talk to because they are closed.

I scheduled (and paid for) another pickup for tomorrow but is this driver likely to pull this again? Is there a chance its a different driver? We've had issues with Fedex express driver(s) not ringing the doorbell when signatures are needed and this is now the 2nd time we've had a driver lie about packages being picked up when they aren't. Its always with Express too never Ground. But I don't know if its the same person or different drivers.

I'm not able to drop off the box hence why ive spent nearly $40 in pickup fees only to still have my box. Hoping maybe its not the same person every day?

Home Del. Shipment PSA: Fedex doesn't want your mis-addressed package back

If you have a package that was delivered to your address correctly, but the name doesn't match anyone living there, don't bother contacting FedEx. Their response: "We deliver packages to addresses not people."

Not a big deal for this one, it's just a corporate benefits card. But it'd be a real bummer if this was something sentimental and FedEx refused to return it.

Ask FedEx Fed ex delivers past 10pm?

Someone please tell me why a driver just pulled into my driveway, blaring music, slamming the doors, shoving boxes onto my porch at 10:30pm.
My 6 month old is wide awake now and I’m livid because i feel like it is wayyyy too late to still be driving.

Discussion Someone intercepted a FedEx driver and took my $2,500 ASUS laptop before it ever reached my house — they apparently had my tracking number, address, and last name

Upvotes

I ordered a new ASUS laptop for college, around $2,500. This wasn’t just some random impulse purchase either. I spent days researching which laptop to get because I needed something strong enough for college/engineering work but still portable. I finally picked the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 and had been waiting for it all morning.
FedEx tracking said it was supposed to arrive between about 1:25 PM and 3:00 PM.
Then, before that delivery window even came, I checked the tracking and saw it had been marked “delivered” at 12:49 PM.

I went outside immediately and the only thing at my front door was an unrelated Amazon package under my dad’s name. It wasn’t from ASUS. It wasn’t my laptop. It was just a laptop case for something else.
At first, I thought maybe FedEx marked it delivered early by mistake. So I called FedEx and opened a case. I also called ASUS because they’re the shipper. ASUS opened a case too, but they basically told me the investigation could take up to 10 business days. That annoyed me because this is a $2,500 laptop I need for college work, not some $20 accessory.

Then the situation got weird. I called FedEx again, and the rep told me something like:
“The driver was intercepted, and the package was given to you.”
I was confused because I never intercepted any driver. I never received the laptop. Nobody in my household received it. Nobody at my house authorized anyone to take it. And the package never reached my front door.
Later, I found out the FedEx case had apparently been closed because the notes said the “customer received the package” and that someone signed using my last name.
That’s when it went from annoying to creepy.
I disputed it completely. I did not sign for anything. I did not receive anything. Nobody in my household received it. Someone apparently used my last name, and somehow FedEx treated that as valid.
Eventually the case was reopened and escalated to FedEx security. I was told it was reopened because of improper shipping/delivery procedures, since apparently handing a package to someone during transit is not normal policy.

From what I was told, there is camera/video footage connected to the incident. Apparently, a car was following or tailing the FedEx driver in my neighborhood. My neighborhood is huge, so this wasn’t even directly in front of my house. The car allegedly stopped the driver before he reached my address.
According to the notes/information I was given, the person showed the driver my tracking number, my address, and my last name.
Then the driver handed them my laptop.
So somehow this person knew enough about my shipment to stop the driver and convince him to give them a $2,500 package before it ever reached my house.
My parents ended up filing a police report. An officer came to my house, I explained everything, and the report was labeled as forgery because someone signed using my last name.

Today I spoke with FedEx security. They said their role was basically to review the footage/details and determine if there was a policy or security issue. They told me they did find an issue and said it was entirely FedEx’s fault. They said they would now communicate with ASUS to see how the internal issue gets resolved.

So now I’m waiting on ASUS and FedEx to sort it out, but I’m still mad because someone apparently walked, is FedEx/Police likely to investigate the actual person who took it, or are they mostly just going to determine fault and settle it with ASUS?

My questions:

Has anyone ever had a FedEx package intercepted before it reached your house?

How would someone even get the tracking number, address, and last name unless something was leaked or accessed somehow?
(The only thing I can think of at the moment is it being an inside job from the same workers, or a hacker that was able to track the exact package at the exact time)

And realistically, is FedEx/security likely to investigate the actual person who took it, or are they mostly just going to determine fault and settle it with ASUS?

I’m trying to stay calm because FedEx security basically told me I’m in good hands, but this whole situation feels insane. It wasn’t delivered to the wrong porch. It sounds like someone literally intercepted the driver and got my laptop handed to them using my information.

Express Shipment package lost at memphis

hii

i'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or can offer some advice about a package that fedex has declared lost(?).

the shipper sent the package out on june 19th, and the expected delivery date was supposed to be around the 25th. however, the package seemed to be stuck at memphis since the 20th of june with no further updates.

i have contacted fedex support about this and they opened a support ticket for the shipment.

i didnt receive any updates on my package since then, until this morning. the email basically said it was lost and to contact the shipper.

i cant really see how contacting the shipper would solve the issue. in my opinion this is fedex's fault for losing the package and to me it sounds like they are trying to shift the blame off themselves. and even if i were to contact the shipper, i believe that there is nothing they could possibly do, since they already shipped it off, and the items in my package are irreplaceable.

ive been using fedex for about 3 years now, and have never experienced any issues until this package, so i never understood peoples complaints against fedex. is it too much for me to expect a service i paid for to be delivered as promised?

does that email mean that fedex has officially given up searching for my package, and i will not be receiving it, even in the future?

has anyone else experienced a similar situation? what would you suggest i do?

Shipper at fault not FedEx Problems With Tracking

Yesterday I paid for a priority overnight shipment to be delivered today and almost 24 hours later it’s still stuck on ‘label created, we’ll update when we get the package.’ I do this regularly and have never had this issue. I don’t always ship with FedEx but I’ve ordered more than a hundred packages from this same exact vendor and have never had a problem so please don’t give the default answer of “if tracking says they don’t have it, they don’t have it.” I understand that there’s a first time for everything and that it’s always possible there could’ve been a mistake at the warehouse but like I said these guys are pretty efficient and they would never intentionally hold back a package. I always message them every time I order to verify that the package will go out that day and I always get the same answer, yes. What I’m looking for is anyone else having a similar issue right now with the tracking being stuck or issues in the past with packages being delivered without any updates. Is it possible that their tracking system is just glitched and I should expect my package to be delivered today? Or am I just screwed and the package somehow disappeared without a trace during the scheduled daily pickup at the warehouse.. so very frustrating and concerning😞 thanks for any insight

FedEx Ground Shipment Thank God for neighbors!

My neighbors deliver my packages delivered to their houses. I couldn’t even open a tracer on my packages, they say ‘contact the shipper’ and close out the inquiry. Chewy uses FedEx, I won’t order from them again.

Express Shipment Oops, FedEx wastes my whole day AGAIN!!

I leave a note on the gate that is unlocked and they leave a call slip! Can people really be this stupid? Do they enjoy coming back? Do they make more money for wasting everyone's time??
