I'm brand new to email marketing, but got a little too big too fast to learn best practices.

Signed up for kit and now my lead magnet is getting 100-300 downloads per day. I'm going to hit 10,000 email subscribers by the end of the week.

Each email is relatively short... just links to a YouTube video but works as a stand alone little educational tid bit. I never intend to sell in the emails. The list is very niche and in an education space for a very specific type of person and topic.

But the unsubs seem really high and I want to get that down. It's bordering 1%. 20-40 unsubscribes per email.

Open rates are okay 50-60% CTR to a YouTube video is usually 5-7%.

Since im brand new I think most of my emails go to promotions or newsletters tabs. Obviously there are a bunch of people who want the lead magnet and nothing else from me, so maybe my unsub rate is okay? That initial product email has a 70% open rate.

Should I offer a "hey, if you only want this product from me and to never hear from me again, unsure here" in the body of the first email? or double opt in on the sign up page or what?

I have developed as a hobby project somewhat simple app based on a request of a SME for having a local email automation. Use case is simple Excel file with list to the app that reads everything synthesizes and as per data requirements EU everything is done locally. Email is then sent to potentially unlimited users including images and signatures. Was wondering market for such a thing... Local vs something like Brevo... Any experienced users giving feedback would be welcome

For a fashion store we manage, emails (new customer discounts/weekly/daily promo events, etc.) - I am seeing most of them go into spam/promotion folder, and the backend analytics our visitors(potential customers) completely ignore them.

I read online, and the recommendation seems to be less HTML/less graphics and more text could help.

I'm using two Klaviyo signup forms with different welcome offers:

1. General Welcome Popup – Displays on the homepage.
2. Product-Specific Popup – Displays only on a particular product page.

Here's the issue:

• A visitor lands on the product page.
• They submit the product-specific popup and receive a discount code.
• They then navigate to the homepage.
• After a few seconds, the general welcome popup appears.
• They submit that form as well and receive a second discount code.

I want to prevent this from happening. If a user has already submitted either welcome form, they shouldn't be able to see or submit the other one.

What's the best way to achieve this in Klaviyo?

• Should I use a profile property?
• Should I exclude users based on a segment?
• Is there a built-in Klaviyo setting for this?

I'd appreciate any best practices or recommended approaches. Thanks!

I lead marketing for a UK-based D2C fashion brand, and we’re looking to invest more seriously in lifestyle-led marketing rather than focusing purely on product and performance ads.

I'll go first: the unsubscribe link is your friend. Making it hard to find doesn't save subscribers, it only grows spam complaints.

Here is the scenario:

You have a SaaS app - a sign up or captivating hook - something like drop your website and the app does something like show your SEO report or generate a profile based on your website branding or content.

Do you recommend gating that experience with an email gate once the user enters the website info? Or let the user get the information first as a value-first delivery and then ask for email?

Both the options are valid options depending on the maturity of the product - question is how do you approach if you are starting up as a MVP or at the Beta?

Not sure if this is widely known right now, but it appears that Stripo has been hacked.

Despite what they say in their email (below, date 16th July 2026) about 'signals of an attempted attack' our ESP key got stolen over the weekend. Looking at where the key could have come from, I took at look at Stripo's ESP configuration and it's there in plain sight, in plain text!

You may have ESP credentials that you should rotate right now, you may be using Stripo for wider email services.

Email from Stripo:

We're writing to inform you of a security incident: we have detected signals of an attempted attack targeting the credentials used to connect email service providers (ESPs) to Stripo accounts.

We launched an investigation and are taking all necessary security measures to protect your data. As our records indicate that your account has stored ESP credentials, we ask that you rotate your keys to stay protected.

Therefore, as a precaution, please complete the following:

1. Revoke (invalidate) your current API key in your ESP account and generate a new one. Creating a new key alone does not disable the old one — make sure the old key is deleted or deactivated*.*
2. Update the connection in your Stripo export settings with the new key.
3. Remove any ESP connections you no longer use.

Completing these steps will help protect your account and significantly reduce the potential risk associated with this incident.

Hi all,
I made self-serve audit tools on my website, and users can request an email report on the results page.
Right now, I am sending it using Resend and a subdomain of my primary domain.
My primary domain is clean, and I do not use it for marketing emails, but I have noticed the report going to spam once or twice.
It does have HTML and custom-domain tracking links in it, and a PDF file attachment.

Right now, I'm worried about my main domain's sender reputation tanking if too many people request the report and it ends up in spam.

Wondering if anyone knows the best practice in this situation?

So upon building my product, i hear lots of founders and builders argue and say "The list is actually more important than the message itself.

Personally i agree. Its even in my slogan, targeting matters more than the message because if you target the wrong audience, its not gonna end up in anything meaningful for your brand. But again, same goes for the message. Its like egg and chicken case imo.

What do you think?

Trying to work out how to evaluate email quality properly before a campaign goes out, beyond just running it through a spam checker. Looking at things like mobile rendering, whether the copy is going to perform, CTA placement.

Curious if there are tools built specifically for pre-send email quality scoring or if most teams are still figuring this out through trial and error after campaigns have already gone.

I highly belive any form of marketing is saturated and real world vues can't be reach if the person really dedicates themselves towards it at today’s world when everyone is trying their absolute best to be seen may get ignored because he doesn’t have the knowledge of how to do it so but luck also pays a high note in the marketing industry when you are starting from 0. But mistakes are inevitable you have to do them to actually learn something on your own which is far better than not starting thinking you may lose. Hey, new email marketer here.

I had a question - how do you approach building fully designed-beautiful emails?

I've heard multiple options - creating the design, then just pasting in photos into the platform that they use, splitting the images to have appropriate links. Then adding a long text footer for better deliverability and that's it.

Then i've also heard about HTML - if I do a design with Claude Design for example, you cannot fully get the same quality HTML code that would be pastable into platform and that would look good. Some elements are not looking that great, maybe I'm just not advanced enough.

Then there's also the builder itself, but I gotta say, it's very limiting, right? You can not achieve anything even close to those beautiful fully designed emails with builder only.

Would love to hear anyone's experience, the best approaches to this.

Looking for a bit of advice. I've recently taken on a new client (SaaS). They've not been emailing their list for quite some time (around 8ish months). Been looking at the stats and around 45% of the list hasn't opened anything for over a year.

Obviously I'm thinking they need to clean it up a bit before I start. But my client is not keen at all. They're worried about losing too many subscribers.

I'm having trouble convincing them that their deliverability could be harmed if we don't clean the list up a bit.

Any tips on how to persuade clients that a smaller, more engaged list is better than a bigger list that could ruin their deliverability?

Or, do you think I'm being too cautious? I think over a year without opening an email makes a subscriber a good candidate to be removed. But now I'm second guessing myself, given their pushback.

I'll caveat all this to say I'm not a deliverability expert. I normally work with clients on launches (email sales sequence strategy and email copy). There's usually someone else in the team that deals with the deliverability and tech side.

Genuine question for people maintaining email templates. Most builders now advertise HTML import, but every one I’ve tried converts your markup into their own block model, which means the output isn’t what you put in. Beefree’s SDK docs say some designs won’t match after import and need manual fixing. So the templates I actually care about, the old bulletproof ones that render everywhere, I’ve never trusted to a round-trip.

Is that everyone’s experience, or am I holding it wrong? Do you import and then fix, rebuild from scratch, or just keep them in the ESP forever?

Asking because I’ve talked with people who wanted their existing bulletproof templates in, not rebuilt, so I ended up building the opposite approach: keep the HTML verbatim, no block conversion, edit it as code. I want to know whether “converted import isn’t real import” is a recurring problem or just the handful of people I’ve talked to.

I work at a Recruitment firm and we send bulk emails to the applicants. It went well for a couple of weeks however yesterday all of a sudden the emails started getting marked as spam.

Can this be fixed, looking at the nature of our business we have to send bulk emails to the candidates. How to fix this? If the bulk candidates move the email from Spam to unspam would it help?

I'm trying to understand deliverability and it seems like large batches are treated differently than one-offs. I could send a batch of 50,000 emails all at 8pm, or I could spread them out randomly between 7pm and 9pm; would the latter actually help deliverability, or am I overthinking this?

I'm using mailerlite. How do I handle users who haven't opened an email in the last 30 or 90 days (not sure which benchmark is appropriate)? Should I send them a final email saying, "Hey, if you don't open, we won't send you emails anymore"? Obviously, the subject line should encourage them to open. Or should I remove them from the list altogether?

Right now, I've separated users who open and click from users who don't open.

Is that the right way of looking at it? Goal is to get people to open the emails and convert.
