I am close to graduating but I need a few extra classes to fulfill my 60 units. I recently went with my counselor and they told me I can take anything as long as I reach my 60, so is there any cool classes that are "fun" or practical to take? Any input is appreciated.

For context- I already have a Bachelors and a Masters degree. I'm looking into possibly pivoting to becoming a paralegal. Or just taking a few classes to see if I like it. The ELAC certificate appealed to me because it is a shorter program and could be faster to complete.

I'm aware that there are numerous different paths to becoming Paralegal in California. Does anyone have any experience with this program? Is it enough to just boost one's resume for someone who already holds advanced degrees? And to apply straight into paralegal jobs? I also learned that the program isn't ABA approved - will that be an issue? (Unlike LACC, which is ABA approved and has more units to complete)

ELAC does say the program is perfect for someone who may already hold a degree in something else, but I just wanted to make sure.

Hey so I basically decided to give college another shot and I wanted to know if it was to late apply for the fall semester or I had to wait I did take a few classes at Elac in highschool back in 2023 if that matters for some reason

I just wanted to know what are your guys thoughts on elac offering student dorming, which would be located at Cal state LA? Good or bad drop your opinion below.

Hi! I’m an incoming first year at ELAC and I plan on transferring to UCLA and majoring in public affairs. A required class on assist.org is pols c1000; however, I took AP US Gov and got credit for pols c1000 through ELAC. Do I still have to take pols c1000 for my major I want to transfer into or is the credit sufficient? Also as a first year is there any advice for the general transfer and cc experience at ELAC? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Is it too late to sign up for a summer class right now? I know they start in July 5th but I need to know if I can still sign up for one?

Submitted order on Parchment on June 15 for transcripts to be sent to UCI and my order is still on hold. I also didn't get an email on why my order is on hold so I just assume it's because they need to manually review my IGETC before processing my order? Did anyone else experience this? How did it go? The deadline is July 1 and not sure if it'll make it in time.

Has anyone taken Japanese (any) with Natsuyo Higuchi? What do people usually lose points for (on her test or homework) because her difficulty rating on Rate My Professor is a little high and the grades are kinda low? Is the final usually super hard?

Hi everyone !! i’m currently choosing my courses for fall 2026, and there are currently 3 professors listed for gen bio. The three professors are Tuyen Nguyen, Emily Zebadua, and Jimmy Lee. I’ve heard that the first 2 professors are quite the difficult teachers while Jimmy Lee is a laid back professor. I was wondering what the opinions were on these teachers, as I am having a hard time choosing. Ik that it seems really obvious to choose Lee, but my only issue is that the lectures are labs are at night.

I would really like to know which professor(s) will help me understand and pass bio. I am really trying to transfer into cornell as an animal science major, so biology is a crucial class for my major.

I bought the hardcover book for Anatomy and the leaflet Atlas for this past semester but ended up not using them because the professor gave us digital copies for free. Wonder if anyone knows of a spot to sell books? I know there used to be one near campus but not sure if it relocated or closed down...

Hi I am enrolled at a different college but I am going to take the calc 1 final with a current class at elac as a placement test the dean offered me. Its on June 1st from 2-4pm, so PLEASE if you are in that class could you share what you have been learning because I have studied for calc but I want to make sure I am in the same wavelength as whats going to be on the final exam.

Has anyone done a retroactive withdrawal? I took two dual enrollment classes back in 2018 and I failed them. Now that I’m trying to apply to law school they’re really tanking my CAS gpa. I just want to figure out a way to expunge or get rid of the letter grade since it’s been almost ten years. Please has anyone done this?
