2025 Panigale V4 owner here — bike has felt down on power since I got it, and I'm trying to figure out if this is normal or an actual issue.
Symptoms:
- Feels flat/weak from idle up through roughly 9k RPM
- Comes alive and feels strong from ~9k RPM up to redline
- Torque % readout on the dash ramps up gradually rather than snapping to 100%, even with everything set to Full power and DTC/DWC/EBC off
- Very hard to wheelie even in Full power mode with electronics off — takes a lot of effort compared to what I see online
- I run a BT Moto tune, confirmed flashed, and the behavior is identical to stock
- A friend with the same bike, completely stock, no tune, no service done yet, has the exact same symptoms
- I did my own first service (no dealer visit, no ECU reflash from a dealer)
- Haven't cleared the first service light yet, it's still on
- No warning lights on the dash otherwise
I know the Desmosedici Stradale is a peaky engine that makes its numbers up top, but this feels like more than just engine character — it feels like something is capping low-to-mid RPM power specifically.
Has anyone else run into this? Specifically:
- Is this just how these bikes feel stock/low-RPM, and I'm comparing wrong (I also have a 2026 RSV4 which pulls way harder down low)?
- Does the torque % ramp mean something's actively limiting power, or is that normal ride-by-wire smoothing?
- Does the uncleared service light do anything at all, or is that a red herring?
- Could this be a fault code that isn't triggering a dash warning (pending code, not stored)?
- Anyone had luck finding an actual cause via dyno or diagnostic scan?
Planning to get it on a diagnostic tool and dyno to get real numbers instead of just going by feel — but wanted to see if this is a known thing before I do.
