It might take me longer than the usual 2 years for the program I am considering, but I would still want to remain on the Drexel health insurance. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I'm an incoming freshman at Drexel in the LeBow College of Business majoring in MIS, and I'm in the 5-year, 3 co-op program.

I was recently assigned my first co-op cycle, but there was some confusion because I was originally notified of the wrong cycle. My advisor clarified that my first co-op will actually be Fall/ Winter (August 2027-January 2028).

Since Drexel is moving to the new semester system with three academic terms, I'm trying to understand how each cycle affects your overall schedule, especially with summer classes. I originally thought one cycle might avoid summer classes, but after looking more closely at the new academic calendar, it seems like both cycles still involve summer coursework at some point.

For anyone who has been through either the Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer co-op cycle, what did you like or dislike about it? Did one cycle make things easier with recruiting, study abroad, classes, or internships? Are there any advantages or disadvantages I should consider as an MIS major?

My advisor mentioned there is a co-op cycle swap process in the fall. Has anyone actually gone through that process and successfully switched cycles? How difficult was it?

With so many students and visitors walking around campus every day, I've wondered what happens if someone is seriously injured because a property owner failed to fix an obvious hazard.

I recently came across information from Philly Slip and Fall Guys about premises liability in Pennsylvania, and it made me curious how these situations are handled when they happen near universities.

Has anyone around Drexel experienced something like this or known someone who has?

Have you ever took the senior exemption where u take less than 12 credits in senior year and become part-time student while still receive some financial aids from grants?

If so, how much did u took and how much it costed you?

Does anyone know where we could look for student worker opportunities during summer term, because it’s the term of transition where the work study for last year ended but new one haven’t come out.

I’m also curious if we could still be doing student worker on campus during the six month full time coop period.
