Anime Just finished Dr. STONE and now I’m facing massive post-anime depression. What a ride.

I just wrapped up the final episode and I don't know what to do with myself. Beyond the awesome science, I think what I'll miss most is the chemistry between the cast. Senku, Chrome, Gen, Ryusui—every single character brought so much energy to the screen. It genuinely feels like saying goodbye to a group of friends. Truly a solid 10/10 experience.

Review/Analysis Do you actually like the ending? Spoiler

I've watched dr.stone since it came out , always super posotive respond first 2 season 9/10 and from there on 8/10 (alway good, just gets a but repetitive ofc) but the last season was honestly... underwelming.

Do not misunderstand me, i know why the had to rush the rocket part and fair enought, me my self i do not want to spend 5 episode on a rocket, but to me it is judt the whole "why man" thing.

This creature is soo intelligent, yet never said anything other then "you wanna die", they had it with no oxigen on the earth and instead of talking it activated, they meet for the first time and he "trick them" and most importantly, they literally say they "overestimated humanity" yet they waited 4k years on the moon for humanity to reach them.

I understand for them 4kyears it is not a lot, but if you reach the point to say you overestimated humanity and just leave, you must be thinkijg this before, and if soo why wait?

I understand time for them might be different but it never say soo abd why they have never tried to actually communicate instead of repeating the same phrase?

Anime The massive secret behind Dr. Stone's ending: Byakuya's true identity and Senku's plan Spoiler

Hey everyone,

I just finished reading Dr. Stone, and the ending with the time machine totally blew my mind. After thinking about it, there is a wild theory that connects this machine, Senku's origins, and the mystery of Byakuya in a way that actually makes mechanical and scientific sense.

The Starting Mystery: The Byakuya Anomaly

As we all know, one of the most surprising details of the manga is that Senku and Byakuya share no blood relation. Byakuya was simply the best friend of Senku's biological father.

Yet, look at them: they share the same insane determination, the same absolute love for science, the same facial expressions, and even a gravity-defying hairstyle. Why did Inagaki insist on this adoption? What if the answer was hidden on the very last page of the manga?

The Grandfather Paradox

At the end of the series, Senku wants to build a time machine to save the billions of humans who died or were destroyed during the 3,700 years of petrification. But Senku is a man of science. He knows perfectly well that if he cancels the petrification in the past, he creates a massive Grandfather Paradox: If the Why-Man is stopped, Earth is never petrified. If Earth is never petrified, Senku never wakes up in the Stone World. If he never wakes up, he never meets Chrome, Kohaku, Gen, and the others. Ishigami Village doesn't exist.

Therefore, the Kingdom of Science is never founded, the time machine is never built, and we are back to square one.

Senku would never sacrifice Chrome, Suika, and Byakuya's legacy. He has to use the Many-Worlds Interpretation. He doesn't create one timeline, but two.

The Plan

Here is how the Kingdom of Science pulls this off to create a closed causal loop:

Step 1: Securing Timeline A The Kingdom of Science realizes that for their present to exist, the events of the past must happen exactly as they experienced them. Ishigami Village must be founded, and Senku must be adopted. Among the descendants of the new Stone World, they find a brilliant teenager, obsessed with space, who shares Senku's exact genetic lineage. His name is Byakuya.

Step 2: The First Time Travel They send this young Byakuya back in time to the late 20th century. The teenager grows up in our era, pursues astronomy, becomes best friends with Senku's dad, and eventually adopts baby Senku. This neatly explains the ISS alibi: when the petrification strikes, Byakuya is already in space as an adult of our time, having lived a completely normal life up to that point.

Byakuya's Blind Faith Was a Roadmap

This brings us to the biggest piece of evidence. There is a detail that bothers a lot of readers: Byakuya's absolute, almost prophetic certainty. In every flashback, he repeats tirelessly that Senku will wake up and save humanity. But let's be real for a second: how can someone leave a capsule filled with platinum, the exact rare catalyst Senku will need for nitric acid, on a remote island, being absolutely certain that 3,700 years later the descendants will still be there, the capsule will survive, and Senku will find it at the exact moment he needs it? Fatherly faith alone doesn't cover that level of statistical insanity. Unless Byakuya already knew.

If Byakuya comes from the future Kingdom of Science, he didn't just have blind faith. He had a mission. The future Kingdom of Science would have given him a strict roadmap of historical milestones:

Adopt a child named Senku. Found a village and name it Ishigami. Create the hundred tales to transmit vital survival messages. Gather platinum and seal it in the Soyuz because it is the only way to create the miracle fluid in the Stone Age.

This changes how we view Byakuya. When he cries looking at the stars or exhausts himself panning for gold and platinum in rivers for decades, it is not just the crazy hope of a father. It is the heavy burden of a man executing humanity's survival plan to the letter, knowing that a single mistake on his part erases everything. He knows Senku will succeed because he was told before leaving that this is exactly how it happened.

Step 3: Creating Timeline B

Once they secure their own existence by sending Byakuya to lay the groundwork, the Kingdom of Science can finally achieve its ultimate goal. They use the machine a second time to send a signal or an AI to disable the Why-Man right before the strike, creating a second timeline where humanity was never petrified.

Conclusion

If this theory holds true, it gives a whole new dimension to the story: Byakuya is actually Senku's descendant, traveling to the past to adopt his own ancestor and dying on an isolated island to ensure humanity survives. The Kingdom of Science becomes the architect of its own history, orchestrating the petrification to lead to a scientific renaissance. Dr. Stone's optimism remains intact: with science and time, humanity can conquer destiny, save everyone, and honor those who paved the way.

TL;DR: The time machine at the end is used to create two timelines. To avoid erasing Ishigami Village and his friends, Senku sends a teenager from their future into the past. That teen grows up in the 21st century, adopts Senku, and goes to the ISS. That teen is Byakuya, who is actually Senku's descendant. Byakuya's crazy foresight with the platinum and the tales wasn't just faith, it was a roadmap given by the future Kingdom of Science. Once their timeline is secure, they create a second timeline where they cancel the petrification to save everyone without causing a paradox.

What do you think about it?

After 7 YEAR!!! of self taught science, crafting, hunting, cooking, foraging, moving statues, and surviving alone. It feel wrong to not have her have a jump in talent like other character get after a training arc.

She should be as strong as Kohaku, as smart as Chrome, as skilled in craftsmanship like Yusui and Kaseki, and a expert hunter, forager, explorer Tsukasa.

Anime Question about season 4 episode 20-21

Might be a stupid question, but why was destroying Stanley's radio such a big deal? I know Hyoga said that without the radio they could threaten Xeno's life and force Stanley to surrender since they didn't have access to Corn City anymore, but does it matter since Stanley still had Ginro, Matsukaze, Suika, and Francois as hostages?

So isn't what Hyoga said kind of pointless? If the KoS hurt Xeno, Stanley could just do the same to his hostages. Why was Stanley in such a hurry to go and attack the KoS?

Dr Stone has been my fav/comfort anime since I found it in 2019. I'm so sad it's over but I wanted to celebrate by drawing some fanart. Decided to draw Suika as I relate to her and seeing her grow up throughout the series was bittersweet in a way I guess. I also wanted to draw an even further timeskip version of her as I feel she would grow up to be a scientist. (Note: some of the photo section drawings are anime screengrabs or heavily references I do not take full credit)

mother nature taking back what’s hers and the buildings eroding, but somehow the statues inside remain perfectly intact

like how senku was inside the school, the building crumbled, but he was perfectly fine apart from his petrification mark 😭

Miscellaneous Some village gate keeper might have had something to be smug about. Spoiler

People wonder where Ginro might have gotten his smugness from, but it was actually earned a while ago. Ginro almost became chief of Ishigami village. He survived the grande bout longer than Magma and Kohaku. Had he controlled himself some more, he might have been the one calling the shots for the whole village. Also marrying off the priestess Ruri. Also fitting as he very much resembles an original master from Treasure Island. If counting destiny and the chaos from the medusas, Ginro is probably supposed to be in charge of both Ishigami Village and Treasure Island. The shadow leader. The energy conserving survivor. Not Senku. Not Kokuyo. Not Magma. Not Chrome. Not Tsukasa. Not Moz. Not Ibara. Not Soyuz. Not Soyuz’s father. Not Dr. Xeno. Not the medusas. Not Byakuya. Not Hyoga. It is Ginro. Only ones who made it further than him are Chrome and Senku who both are clearly not fighters.

Anime Am I reading into things too much: I'm rewatching Part 3 of Dr. Stone season 3 and an minor issue came up. Spoiler

Francois, the super servant, picked up Spanish while in South America, which they used to speak with the Spaniads they revived once they landed in Spain, but unless I'm recalling it wrong, they were in Brazil to search for the OG Medusa and to establish their super alloy city, and Brazilians speak Portuguese so...who taught Francois?

To their credit, in the dub, Francois says they learned it from the South Americans, not Brazilians but it still feels like an odd thing to miss considering how thought out and researched everything else is about the show and world. It's minor, I know but it feels like something that has an asnwer I'm not seeing, so like my post asks, am I just reading too far into things?

Anime Petrification Life Status

I'll make this short. A random thought just popped out of my head while thinking about petrification in Dr. Stone.

Senku was fully conscious all throughout the 3700 of being petrified. However, I imagined what would happen if his statue was torn or shredded. Would he still be fully conscious even if that was the case?

In season 3, Ryusui was revived I think 3 times by Senku fighting Ibarra and his head was separated all over the place multiple times. Of course he didn't know or feel that but I wonder if he was conscious that time?

If so, are they just trapped in eternal darkness when their stones get crushed to the point of no return?

Just a random bullsh*t thought. But I wanna hear what are ya'lls thoughts about this?

EDIT 2: somehow alot of yall arent getting the refrence we might be old lol. It's a refrence to troll science where ppl give obviously wrong when you think about them but on the surface or to someone that doesnt understand it makes sense. Like the "magnet on car and magnet in front of car"

EDIT: since ppl seem to be confused I know its not possible 😭 it even brings it up in the show a few episodes later. My friend who made this however is not to that point in the anime and isnt a scientist so she doesnt know that and I wasnt about to spoil the fact her great idea gets shut down a few episodes from now. Gotta let it sit for awhile.

Finally got one of my friends into Dr Stone. She literally paused the show said "hold on, they don't need a drone thats stupid hear me out" and proceeded to draw this 😭.

She's on episode 13 of new world, so before I think chrome asks about this which is interesting to me.
