I got a job offer at dollar tree but when it was time for me to accept my job offer on workday there wasn’t a button for me to accept it and the hiring manager said that she has never seen this before and even called a different manager is there an hr number I can call so they can accept it for me or is there anything I can do?

I applied to an associate role at one location and i saw that it wasn’t even 10 minutes but i was apparently no longer considered. No worries, i tried another location and this time i noticed that my application immediately was inactive literally right after i applied and it was no longer considered. Is this normal

so first let me start off with I apologize. I do talk to text and that’s how I’m doing this so if there’s run-on sentences, my grammar is off, or if I am just annoying I apologize.
I wanna start off with I worked for the dollar tree for many years and I’ve been in retail many years. I understand return policy probably better than most especially because I’ve also been in recovery 10 years and I was one of those idiots who would Try to hustle with receipts and return things and get money. so believe me when I tell you that I get it I understand why customer service representatives do not do returns or want to this being said, I went shopping today and stopped at the Family Dollar in my neighborhood that I just moved into while out ahopping my phone died so I go to the Family Dollar and I purchased a USB cord and the wall plug included in that also dog treats dog toys I can’t ever go anywhere without buying my boys stuff,
So I get home after my shopping I plug in my phone, not charging so automatically noticed the problem with the wall plug or the cord. Before I even walk the mile back to the store to do this return I look it up online the Family Dollar return policy. Yes I read it. I know it back-and-forth, especially because it’s very similar to the dollar tree. Electronics no returns only exchanges even with receipt. OK fine tell me this does the hundred percent customer satisfaction guarantee part of a return policy Trump that? The items I bought were the brand Family Dollar. This is right in the return policy underneath the electronics that no matter what as long as you have your receipt and it is a family dollar brand you get a full refund on the way you made your payment are you following?? I get to the store and before I even open my mouth representative behind the counter nasty little girl. She was basically threw the items back at me and wouldn’t hear anything about the policy that’s online or in any Family Dollar policy . And continue to just speak louder with her finger pointing at the return policy that’s on the counter that said anything electronic is only an exchange. You can Google it and it’s right there Google what is the return policy at Family Dollar? That’s it and it comes up and it’s the very bottom no matter what if it is a brand of Family Dollar you have 30days from the original purchase anyway it doesn’t matter. My purchase was like four hours ago I am aware that I am on a rant right now. I am just so perturbed and upset with how I was just treated and walking my mile back home with a broken USB and plug after speaking with the representative on the phone who just said rest, assure the district manager will be calling you and I said how do you know what district I mean you didn’t even ask me what state I am in so my question would be how many people have experienced this I mean I guess I’ve never realized that Family Dollar really isn’t a family store like when I worked at the dollar tree it felt like family there. My bosses were awesome. The district bosses were awesome and everybody got treated the same. I am just absolutely livid right now and again it was a I think a $10 purchase so it’s not like I’m trying to rob the bank here so what does Family Dollar train their associates? I’m gonna try to attach a picture. Hopefully that screenshot worked. I’m not very tech savvy this is my first ever posting on Reddit. I’m sure people are gonna hate me. Either way, I appreciate the forum to vent. Added the picture of my boys here at the end no joke. I have to buy them stuff every single time I go out.

Just found out today after 10 months that my pay rate is $9.00/h, i was told during my interview that it would be $9.50, i was told 8 months ago that i was getting a 50 cent raise. Checked my pay stub today and realized the entire time id only been making 9, but because the offer letter said 9 and "part timers can't get raises" nothing will change, and because it was all verbal there is nothing to be done and managers are going "i dont remember telling you that"

Sometimes I get upset with it and customers. But genuinely, I love my job and the people I work with. I'm 16, this is my first job I have worked for them for about 6 months now, everyone has been so supportive and helpful at my store. It just makes me happy. I know there is a lot of negativity but I think it's also good to share the positivity too! 💜

Getting hired part time but only ever working weekends (9 hours a week). Wtf? the actual job itself is fine but I sense a lot of bs going on management wise

1. Initially the goal was 100 cases per 4 hour shift, and then they moved the goal post to 3-4 u boats in 4 hours (which I always fulfill), and then suddenly tells the SM to tell me that I need to be more productive.

2. The SM cut everyone's hours for some reason on that week, and so I only got 6 hours for the whole week (truck day), and the very next week, my SM (who is great, for the record) tells me that the boss said I need to be more productive, which I have to agree with, but at the same time, I was only scheduled for 6 hours the week before, which is really only 2 hours of stocking because it's a truck day, and the weeks before that I only get scheduled for 10 hours a week (6 hour truck day, 4 hour stocking day after)

I should've brought this up when my SM was telling me this, but im sure yall can understand those moments where you think about something in the past and you're like "damn I should've told them THIS when they were talking to me last week!"

Anyways, thoughts? Also the drink aisle is always noticeably empty every time I clock out until the next week. And even more empty the day when I come in the next week. On average I get 10 hours per week(6hr truck day + 4hr shift the next day). And I'm not one to argue and potentially say the wrong thing to a superior, and then end up having awkward moments whenever you are working near them or something. But yeah ig I'm just ranting

I'm tired of these things!

So I work with this girl, and she smells HORRIBLE. She smells like BO, food and something more sinister that I can't even describe....needless to say, customers and associates have complained countless of times regarding her odor.

And also the smell will linger. So say she's in aisle 6 and she walks to the register- the entire path she walked will stink.

One of my other managers couldn't work with her anymore because she would vomit due to the smell.

I have talked to her a few times in a nice but direct way. But there has been ZERO change. She comes to work hair unbrushed, stains on her clothes, and the nastiest odor in the world.

I'm at my wits end and need to know how to proceed moving forward. Do I just send her home? I don't know!!! Advice is appreciated

is anybody else’s managers pushing asking for back to school donations extra hard this year? i hate it so much especially when they’re hovering over me making sure i ask every single customer that’s coming through the line. people literally paying with the last little bit of change in their pockets and they’re still forcing me to ask about donating, im sorry if that’s sounds horrible but im just simply not going to ask.

Tomorrow will be my six day with DT and I have never close before and my. Store manager have me closing by myself no training and just now making to my I learn part with the closing. Hey there I am a merch manager since Feb. we just got a new am she used to be the merch before the old sm was fired. When she was the merch she worked always 40 hours with one over night a week and she only ran one shift a week and never ever closed.
Since she took over I as the merch run 3/4 shifts a week but only am scheduled 30-32 hrs a week and she will not do anything over night plus I close 1-2 days a month. She says we don’t get enough freight out but I only have 2 people to help with frieght. We do truck then they get 3 hours each on the next two days after truck. Then no more freight hours. Except me. Who is usually running shifts those days.
My sm says we need to do more that she can’t throw fright cause she has to spend 2 days a week in the office for 10 hours each day and then work a 1-1030. So she can’t do anything (it took her 3 weeks to set seasonal) she will tell me I need to take control of the backroom then when I do she says I’m doing it wrong and she just takes over.

Does she really need 20 hours a week to do paperwork? She used to say the last sm did nothing but she is doing the same calling closers in early sayings she’s there at 5 and not getting there until 630…

I’m a part time ASM, I NEVER call out or ask for time off. But I needed a day off for my health appointment and gave 3mos notice with verbal confirmation it was approved. Then I just wanted one day off for a family thing and gave about a month notice. I was scheduled for my health appointment and had to be late because I was at work until 30 minutes beforehand, then I was scheduled for 8hrs for my family thing. With this one I just told them I won’t be here and they needed to cover it. What would you do if this just keeps happening. I’ve had issues with days off in the past
