DAE feel like AI is just stealing our humanity from us?

I feel like AI is just sucking every drop of individuality and humanity from us. You see it with people who have to use it to write emails, make "art", plan things.

It blows my mind. It's depressing to see people on public transport just so blasé using chatgpt to blow off steam about their day. Humans are social creatures and AI is removing part of the core human experience.

DAE scroll through reddit stories when they can't sleep and end up doom-scrolling through countless of profiles?

doing this right now, lol. I'll find a post from 4-5 years ago on an old reddit thread and the comment section will just be people sharing insanely wild stories relative to whatever I searched up. then I'll click on someone's profile and scroll through that which leads to me finding more posts and so on, further down the rabbit hole..

It's 1am. 😪

DAE not remember much about their childhood?

It’s not so much a memory lapse; it’s as if I were remembering the wrong things.

I have almost no memory of the things I did in my daily life or outside the house. I couldn't say what I used to do with my friends or which classes I attended in the past. Conversely, I remember my thoughts and the things I liked quite vividly. I recall the imaginary storylines I made up to pass the time, fragments of movies and cartoons, comic books and novels, and the websites I visited—but otherwise, it’s as if my real life only began when I was fifteen. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

DAE not feel human or feel like an imposter living among humans?

I mean, sure, I do recognize the fact that I’m human. I have a physical body, an actual voice, and I’m an existing person living among everyone else, just like everyone. I’m living normally, breathing, eating, and doing all these ordinary human things.
But mentally? Not really.
I don’t even know what “feeling mentally human” means in a general sense, but I can’t fully comprehend the idea of me being the same as everyone else.
I don’t necessarily feel human. I know I am. I know this is my body. I feel like it’s my body, and I feel like I belong, but at the same time, I also don’t.
I don’t feel like I understand the world in the same way everyone else does. I made it my goal to advocate for and support others because of my own personal beliefs. Justice is my core ideology.
I don’t think I will ever truly feel the same as everyone else.
I may be dissociating right now for all I know, but I feel like an observer with an overwhelming amount of emotions.
Injustice, racism, prejudice, and hatred affect me deeply, but I am still just one person with limitations. I’m not a god.
Hell, even if I was a god, what if gods are just regular species with unusual abilities and no actual power to create complete change?
I’ve always viewed myself as an abstract being or a consciousness I think of myself as a collection of ideologies and beliefs rather than simply being “human.”
I think the label “human” is incredibly simple.
What makes us what we think we are anyway.

Does anybody else forget words they’ve known for a long time?

I’d like to add that English isn’t my native language but I watch videos in it and read books in English and all which I think many people will relate to🫠.
But recently I found myself forgetting random and simple words I’ve known for years and having to look them up, not because I needed to use them they just popped up in my head in my native language and I realised that I had forgotten the English words for them.

DAE offer help and then regret it

I'm in a situation where I offered my help to provide a service to a person around me who has no one else to do it at a very low rate. They would have to hire a professional at a high rate they can't afford, so I offered my help for very low money.

But bruh I regret it because they haven't paid me for months and they don't help me at all with what I need to help them.

I know this is vague, but I wanted to know if anybody else did something like that, offering to help someone and then being stuck in a shitty situation, but because the person only has you, you don't want to stop helping them

DAE feel a cold wash over your face when eating strawberries?

Whenever I eat strawberries, no matter my temperature or the strawberries temperature, whenever I eat them my face drops in temp for like a minute or so. This doesn’t happen with anything else to my knowledge. I don’t have any good allergies too.

DAE find the JBL speaker pairing noise creepy?

Like when you hit the Bluetooth button to pair it to your phone and it plays that low octave piano note. It’s like something you’d hear in a horror movie when someone’s getting stalked lol

DAE who draws, really struggles with drawing animals for some reason?

I can draw inanimate objects, scenery, faces, but I cannot for the life of me draw animals. More specifically mammals. It all looks horrifying the second I try to make to make it a little accurate to the reference. My drawings always end up looking like an eerie taxidermy.

DAE get attached to the idea of someone too quickly?

Upvotes

(please don’t clown/bash me, i’d love positive insight)

If I match with someone I’m really attracted to, I stop simply getting to know them and start becoming emotionally invested way too early. I end up worrying about losing the connection before we’ve even met, and I think that anxiety comes across in the way I text.

Looking back, I think this mindset has contributed to a few recent ghostings/unmatches. Instead of staying curious and letting things develop naturally, I start trying to create certainty too soon.

The good thing is I’m becoming aware of it, but I’m trying to figure out how to actually change it. maybe it’s an over analyzing issue when it comes to my own steps which causes me to fumble each interaction.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

How did you learn to stay interested in someone without becoming attached to the idea of them too early?

DAE find it hard to adapt when your environment, place, or stage of life changed — especially around 16–18?

For example, you grow up in a small town, surrounded by a familiar and safe circle of friends and some adults. Then you graduate from high school, and suddenly everyone goes their separate ways. Some move to another city for university, some move to another country, and you find yourself alone in a completely new place.
You feel lonely and scared, and it’s hard to imagine what your future is going to look like. The stable, safe place you once had is now in the past, and you can’t go back to it in the same way. It’s like your brain hasn’t had enough time to process everything, and you just can’t keep up with how quickly everything is changing.

DAE suddenly run when they have running shoes, walk with “walking shoes,” hike with hiking shoes... only when you have them?

Upvotes

Honestly, I skate when I have fresh skate shoes but I basically quit when they wear out. I run when I have functional running shoes. I go for walks only when I have fresh “walking shoes” or joggers...

I guess Boy Scouts and maybe just general life conditioning really pounded it into me to be mindful of my shoes, soles, feet and knees?

Then again, I also tend to wait to wear clothes fitting to perform certain tasks in certain climates before doing the stuff... but I love doin’ the stuff.

DAE only manage to type àccèñts on an accident?

I have googled how to type accents with my keyboard and have tried myriad of different methods but it never works. Before I took an online Spanish test during covid years, I had all spanish accented letters copied and pasted them when the exam started. We were naturally told how to type these letters but it never worked out for me. Yet, when I sometimes mistype something and mash random letters together, sometimes it would result in an accented letter popping out. It seems as if I can only type them when I don't need to.

DAE get nauseous before they sneeze?

It doesn’t happen to me every time I sneeze but probably about 1-2 times a week. If I can’t get the sneeze out, it takes probably a minute or two for the nausea to go away.

Does anyone know why my body does this?

DAE watch videos with subtitles on when listening to music?

Sometimes I don't wana pause a song just to watch a vid I see online. Usually the vid is too short anyway, but if it's long I will just put subtitles on and hope they're correct lol. I just love music too much and hate stopping it once I'm in the mood. Of course, this mostly happens when simultaneously browsing Reddit or YouTube.

DAE ever feel like you're treated differently as a young attractive female?

I am a young attractive female (I say this objectively based on what others have told me. I look like a mix between Beyoncé and Zoe Saldana with no makeup on and have been scouted for modeling more than once. Judge for yourself based on that idc) and have noticed all my adult life that every time I go out it's some shit. Whether good or bad I am always treated differently than everyone else. Pretty privilege is definitely a thing I acknowledge but I feel like people dont realize it's a double-edged sword. I almost feel like no one actually sees me or values me because of what I look like. It doesn't matter how far I go out of my way to try to be nice to people. People either wanna get in my pants or immediately decide they hate me because I must be a bitch, right? God forbid I'm having a bad day or depressed it's even worse. It's like every person feels entitled to let me know I have no right to "have an attitude." Like dude I'm unemployed and having serious health issues and have been struggling with depression but all they see is a pretty face and body to judge at their leisure. I feel like I'm not allowed to even say anything because "oh you're pretty wtf are you so unhappy about?" I'm still a person and life does not discriminate based on looks I have trauma just like everyone else. Am I valid in this?
