Core Theme: Once average civilians, they would eventually rise up to become some of the most powerful heroes in their worlds, at the detriment of their personal enjoyment in life.

Connections:

-Starting as humble everyday citizens, they would undergo a drastic change in character, striving to become the strongest heroes in their respective verses.

-And they would achieve their goals! Breaking past their limits and achieving their true powers from within (X gaining traction and popularity which fuel the strength of his powers / Saitama breaking his limit while training and gaining impeccable strength) and becoming the strongest. However, it wouldn’t give them that same satisfaction they had hoped for. Both only felt isolated from those around them, as they were presented with one question: “and then what?”

-The world of heroism isn’t all sunshine and daisies, however. These professions are less of people wanting to do good and more of another form of entertainment and sponsorship, with the “heroes” of the world being primarily motivated by a ranking system kept in place by a mysterious organization known only as the “heroes organization”.

-The very existence of our main heroes ticks these foundations off to their core, challenging everything they believe in…unintentionally, on our character’s half.

-A major factor in their stories is that despite their mundane personalities and overwhelming power alienating them from the people around them, their actions directly help inspire many heroes of the world to do better. Namely, their direct assistance of a down on their luck younger individual (Lucky Cyan / Genos) who they inspire to try and reach similar heights of heroism and justice, proving that even in the seemingly corrupt world of hero industry, hope will always prevail.

-Even in their current predicament of loneliness, they have trust in a specific, fellow hero (Smile / Genos). While they started off rocky, with both disregarding one another, they would eventually become close allies, and serve as one of our hero’s few remaining relationships.

-Both of their series are hammy parodies of the superhero genre that emphasize on both the larger than life aspects of their worlds and the more mundanity of the main character’s lives.

CONTRAST:

X is somebody. Praised and loved by those around him. Appreciated for his strength, outside of his normal life. He’s one of the most adored heroes in To Be Hero X, very much earning his just desserts. By contrast, Saitama frequently does not receive credit for a lot of his good deeds, such as Deep Sea King’s defeat, more or less all of King’s “greatest feats”, and many more. X is at the top of the rankings, number one, while Saitama is at the bottom, as a lowly Class-C. X is the somebody, while Saitama is the nobody.

FIGHT DYNAMIC:

The most basic summary is stats vs hax with X changing and using his reality warping on the environment around him to try and put down Saitama. In a similar vein to Popeye vs Saitama. The fun comes in the sheer limitless potential you'd get from X's possibilities and Saitama's reactions/adapting to said situations.

X's powerset mainly relies on his use of reality warping. Now a lotta people were worried abt the fact that, hypothetically speaking, X could just one-shot Saitama with a snap. Since Saitama, in character, would let his opps hit him before he hits them, meaning X would just one-shot. However X himself also doesn't tend to go super seriously in fights either, and most of his super omega one shot stuff was acceleration tactics on regular humans.

This is where we bring the "Nobody vs Somebody" contrast into play. Since Saitama is a C-Class hero, there is no way that X is just going to go STRAIGHT for the kill shot right off the bat. A major gag in OPM is that Saitama's opps never take him seriously until it's too late, and that's no exception here, especially since X himself, in series, has never taken fights seriously.

So the oneshot problem isn't an issue. Now what can you actually do for the dynamic?

Well, sky's the limit! X's powers changing the environment around him with a snap could provide for some super fun artistic changes, as the limits to said style changes and such are boundless. You could have a segment where X snaps his fingers, and they're sent to a Mario Bros-esq pixel video game world, with Saitama starting short (like Mario) and X using debris and summoning enemies that Saitama would have to get through. Saitama would get a power up, revert back to his original form, and send a punch which would shatter through the video game world. This could then segway into a car chase. X would manifest a car from a billboard which would push Saitama into pursuing him. Ofc, X doesn't just ride his car like any ordinary car. It can fly, make quick movements akin to fast paced combat (or as I like to call it, Car-Fu) and move at paces far beyond that of an average car. You could have him turn the environment into a racing game track (prolly smth like Rainbow Road to fit the aesthetic) with X taking advantage of powerups and stuff. When it comes to outright combat, X himself has means of conventional attack.

His attacks would basically allow him to deal damage to his opps no matter the stat diff, and stuff such as slowing them down, sending shockwaves, the sudden acceleration and enhanced striking power of objects around him, etc. etc. In his environment X is basically allowed to move freely, meaning he could realistically avoid and survive the winds and shockwaves of Saitama's blows. Now, this might all seem SUPER overwhelming against someone with a moveset as simplistic against Saitama's. But again, this is a major gag in OPM. Saitama going against characters with flashy movesets and such, and his ability to adapt to their techniques. Remember, Saitama's normal punch was enough to destroy an entire meteorite.

And there's still his other varieties of punches. Consecutive Normal Punches, which allows him to throw multiple of said punches at once, Serious Squirt Gun, which allows him to shoot out a high-pressured stream of liquid strong enough to counter Orochi's Gaia Canon, which drew power from the core of the Earth, and the Table Flip, which allows him to just completely destroy the environment X could create should he need to, use of intense speed with serious side-steps creating afterimages which would be able to blitz and confuse a lot of X's creations and such, etc. (picture in the comments)

And since we got our movesets down, we can list potential clashes and such. Ideas like:

1. Saitama throwing a series of consecutive normal punches in a clash against X's car.
2. Serious Squirt Gun vs a sudden throwable attack from X.
3. Saitama using table flip to destroy one of the changed environments and get to X right away.
4. Serious Consecutive Side Hops dodging and catching X's throwables and other items at accelerated speeds only to throw them back at him.

This is a huge fight and the arsenal clash being so different allows for both to use their kits in ways that they don't in their home series, focusing heavily on their skill and adaptation to see who can land the killing blow on the other first.

FINAL VERDICT: I needed a pref for Saitama bruh his spread is ass

I swear I don't have a vendetta against All Might!! I asked my Instagram followers who would win in a battle to the death between them and they voted. Wanting to represent the huge difference in their votes, I had to convey that through the art. I was left no other choice...

Why Conquest VS All Might? Idk I saw this matchup on the feed months ago and thought it was intriguing. Trust me I know there's 0 to no connections but the potential dynamic sold me on it. Plus they sorta got similar builds Imao. Wanting to do something kinda random, plus celebrate the latest issue of Battle Beast #11 featuring Conquest, plus recently getting back into My Hero Academia, PLUS heavy inspiration from tsetsebumba on instagram, all culminated in this random ahh peice. Raidou vs Constantine is much more likely to be realized now that both could have modern models that could be used by the team. DCKO at least has that going for it.

At first glance didn't see how this matchup would work, but after watching Obsession it seems really cool!
