Has anyone else come out of DMT feeling like they learned something they were never supposed to know? I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore.

I’m posting this because I don’t know if anyone else has experienced what I’m going through.

I’ve done DMT multiple times recently, and instead of having beautiful or enlightening trips like i’ve had, every single one now similarly to my first experience has left me disturbed. Every time I go back into a trip it’s an immediate sense of what have I done, and that i’m realizing I cant go back and i’m understanding some dark truth that I am only my mind. At the same time my mind doubts even that leaving me more lost.

Ever since those trips, I feel like my mind has become completely consumed by consciousness, reality, and existence. It’s not normal curiosity anymore. It’s constant.

The biggest thing is that I’ve become hyperaware of my own consciousness. I can’t stop noticing the fact that I’m aware. Instead of just living my life, it feels like I’m constantly observing myself observing reality. I don’t know how to simply exist anymore.

My mind constantly asks questions like:

Who am I?

Why am I experiencing life from this perspective?

Why am I conscious at all?

How can I know anything is actually real?

How do I know anyone else is conscious?

How do I know my own brain isn’t creating everything?

The terrifying part is that these don’t feel like interesting philosophical questions anymore. They feel like problems my brain absolutely has to solve before I can relax, even though I know they’re impossible to answer with certainty.

My trips put me into a state of feeling like i’m in a psychotic break and that I shouldn’t be there, yet I feel so tempted to go back and finally come to some understanding. I keep tripping now regardless of how bad because it feels like understanding the truth of my mind.

During the DMT trips, I had this overwhelming feeling that I had uncovered some truth I wasn’t supposed to see, and an uncanny sense of being watched. It felt like I had looked behind the curtain and realized something terrible about existence. Since then, I can’t shake the feeling that I opened a door that I can’t close.

Logically, I know I can’t prove any of this. But emotionally, it feels completely convincing.

I also feel like my brain has developed an impossible standard. I feel like I can only trust something if I discover it myself and know it with absolute certainty. The problem is that I don’t think absolute certainty is possible. Every reassurance immediately turns into another doubt. Even if someone gives me a helpful way of thinking, my brain dismisses it because I didn’t come up with it myself. Then I start doubting my own thoughts too. It feels like my mind constantly moves the goalposts, so nothing is ever enough.

I honestly feel jealous of people who can just be present and enjoy life. My internal monologue never shuts off. Even during moments that should be enjoyable, I’m still in my head analyzing consciousness, reality, and existence.

I’ve also used methamphetamine for 3 months and weed regularly. I’m fully aware those may be contributing to what I’m experiencing. I’m not trying to pretend DMT is the only factor here. I’m also scheduling a psychiatric evaluation because this has become overwhelming.

I guess what I’m wanting to ask is:

Has anyone experienced something similar after DMT?

Did it eventually get better?

Did you eventually stop feeling trapped inside your own consciousness?

Right now my brain keeps telling me this is permanent—that I learned something I can never unknow—and that’s the part that’s scaring me the most. I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever be at peace and I feel totally alone and misunderstood. It’s impossible for me to put clearly into words what i’m feeling and the weight of it.

I’m not looking for someone to tell me the secrets of the universe. I just want to know if anyone else has been in a place like this and eventually got their life back

Experience Had the most amazing, beautiful experience last night and need to know if others have had something similar happen

Last night was my third time having a notable DMT experience. I fully felt an entity or presence enter my body. Once I accepted the experience and just let her in, I immediately felt my entire body vibrating from every single point - from the top of my head to the tip of my pinkie toe.

Then she settled in and started to show me calming vibrations and what different emotions felt like in my body followed by my seeing the rest of life flash in front of me, and I saw it all and felt it all and every emotion possible in my body I would ever feel.

It was insane. But so beautifully calming and serene. As I started to come down, there was this oval shape in the middle of my chest that felt warm. I knew that entity or presence was still there and she’ll be here forever. It’s not a scary feeling, it’s very comforting. It almost feels as though my body met and saw my soul and they rejoined.

Has anyone else felt or experience something similar? Have you ever heard of anyone else having a similar experience entering their body?

How to prepare?

I have had a calling to psychedelics for a long time. Since I was about 12 I think when I watched Bruce Parry consume ibogaine with natives in their traditional ceremony. DMT has long interested me but I came to psychedelics quite late, in my mid 30s. I have had several trips on mushrooms and lsd and had ups and downs. I’ve not had an ego death and the most mushrooms I have had is 3g and acid a 250ug tab. Some were very strong and slowed down my willingness to proceed to the big time. I have done some reflecting though and the calling is back. I have a friend who can get hold of it and has offered to sit for me. I’d like to know if anyone has any advice on how to work towards it or perhaps if I should just relax and let everything happen as and when it does?

Philosophy Mystical nihilism

I had a wonderful revelation last night, or you could say I was shown something. I think, deep down, we all already know this, but it’s one of those things that sometimes needs to be put into perspective for us to truly understand and practice it.

I hit my cart last night and found myself within a small dome. Suddenly, the top of the dome was peeled back to reveal a never-ending universe. The dome itself looked almost like a Fabergé egg. As the top opened and everything began spilling out, I received this beautiful message:

‘Nothing matters! You’re stressing about bills, jobs, and relationships? Those things truly don’t matter because, at the end of the day, at the end of this life, everything will be okay. You’re on your path, and stressing does nothing. There’s so much more to life than this little dome you think you’re stuck inside. The lid comes off. Remember that.’

And it wasn’t a depressing kind of ‘nothing matters.’ It was the kind of ‘nothing matters’ that makes you appreciate even the smallest things in life. It’s something I feel like I already knew but needed to hear, especially because I’ve been stressing over things like bills, finding a new job, and my housing situation.

Yes, at the end of the day, we’re all living within this matrix, and we don’t really have a choice but to participate in the reality we live in. We have bills to pay. We have to work. We have families to take care of. But there’s no reason to add unnecessary stress on top of it all. Stress doesn’t help. It only weighs you down.

Just keep moving forward. The lid comes off. Remember that.

Experience First time Vaporhuasca

Upvotes

First time trying it. Made a tea out of Syrian Rue by boiling 3 grams of seeds for about 15 minutes or so, then drinking it with an excessive amount of coffee creamer. The taste was pretty inoffensive with the added creamer, but the plain seed water was quite bitter.

First impressions was "Woaaaaah"

It feels very different. Much slower and a lot more gentle. The colors also feel brighter and more lighthearted maybe? Though that could just be my headspace lol

It also feels a lot more functional. Being able to function, walk, talk, and eventually - swim, all with cartooney visuals was very interesting and fun.

I did go swimming with a nice little low dose. Im with a sober friend lol so im not too worried about drowning or anything.

Anyways, I've just been experimenting with low doses. I plan to go deeper whenever pool time is over 😎👌
