Maybe the site is just a little glitchy?

I know the majority of the posts are about renewals that haven’t been processed but to my people who do have active DACA…what’s the general experience on if you get pulled over and questioned by ICE? It’s really bad in Louisiana where I am and while I do have my license and valid DACA, I’m scared to even go to work.

anyone stuck in their life right now? I’m still working a job I hate. I’m stuck in this city cause I feel terrible leaving my parents struggling out here on their own. I’m the one who drives my mom everywhere. her appointments, groceries, errands, etc. I want to buy a home but that’s probably not the best idea right now. I want to vacation but better be saving that $$$. I believe I should just quit my job. maybe that’s a good starting point

My DACA expired two weeks ago and have been without work since. During this time, I've been keeping busy by working on personal creative projects that I've been shelving due to lack of time or energy. I've started posting content about my work on Instagram. I have a few projects/ideas that touch on the subject of immigration, DACA, and other social justice issues. It's been my experience that not many people are familiar with DACA so I'm wondering if I can use my work and content to spread awareness to what's happening with us? I think it could be beneficial overall if more people knew about the program and the challenges we face. However, I fear that speaking out in this way could result in threats to my personal safety (What if I end up doxxed and ICE shows up to my front door?) or affect my applications/status in some way down the line. It seems one can never play it too safe with this current administration so I question if it's advisable to do what I want to do in these times.

Weird question, For those of you who have been planning, or did go back, idk how yall feel about AI. But I see it as a tool.
So nonetheless, my question is has anybody used it (ChatGPT or anything else) to help plan out your move back to your country. I was brought here as a baby and am 26 now. Im one of the applicants that has been waiting for DACA to come back since 2021. I graduated Highschool and did all my schooling here, and some core accounting college classes, went to a dental assisting vocational school back when I thought DACA was coming back. Couldn’t obviously pursue that, so decided to make a small bookkeeping business in my city. I wanted to wait out this year or the next to see if it will come back before leaving. But as it is my friends it looks like I’ll have to go back. So yea have any of you used it for that?

Got my CA Real ID that expires on my bday in 2027 which is like 5 months earlier than the EAD expiration date in 2027. I thought it was set to expire on EAD dates?

API movement on 6/16 and no approval yet is crazy…😭!!

So long story short is, I’ve been unemployed due to my DACA status. And I thought one day “well they don’t always ask for a e verification so why don’t I just apply and see how far I can get” well I got hired right away and on my first day of training they were asking for all my documents and I provided as much as I could and I was truthful. Then they told me to go home and sent me an email if I can’t provide proper docs then I’ll be fired. And well I couldn’t so they fired me lol I totally expected it, I just wanted to test the waters.

So can I apply for unemployment even tho it was one day? I got paid for like 6 hours of work(training)

Has anybody gotten any approvals after applying in march?

I’ve been unemployed since the end of February when my employment card expired. I was let go of my previous job because of the long wait.

I finally saw some API movement giving me hope of a near approval. Now that I want to update my resume- I’m not sure how to explain why I’ve been unemployed for the last few months- especially in corporate America.

I don’t want to lie but I also don’t want to go into details about my status before they even hire me.

Any suggestions?

I got api movement in my DACA only on 6/16. Then 7/13 i got api movement on both DACA and EA, I haven’t seen a change since. Has that happened to anyone else? I applied 2-24 expired 6/30.

I’m looking for advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.

My DACA renewal was received by USCIS on February 12, 2026.

My DACA expired about 2 weeks ago, and my renewal is still pending.

My grandfather in Poland was just hospitalized after suffering a brain hemorrhage and is in critical condition.
From what I understand, I can’t apply for Advance Parole while my DACA renewal is still pending, so I’m planning to request an expedite based on humanitarian reasons.

Has anyone had a DACA renewal expedited because of a seriously ill family member abroad?

If so:
What evidence did you submit?
How long did USCIS take to respond?
Were you able to get an emergency Advance Parole appointment after your DACA was approved? (Is it even safe to do AP now? 😩)
How much time were you given to stay abroad?

I’m devastated that I may not be able to see my grandfather, so I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with firsthand experience.

Hey, i’m a 26 y/o living in NYC. Im finding it difficult for me to focus on anything besides what is happening. I recently moved out a year ago being a first Gen Latina, graduated and got a job as an EA with a cool creative agency. I feel like i’m doing a shitty job because of my mental health. How am I supposed to bring this up to my boss? They’re aware i’m not a citizen but I’ve never really talked to them about my situation in full details. Like I can’t be dumping on my boss and also what are they supposed to do? I just hate that yeah I can bring it up and probably bawl my eyes out but then what?
if they tell me to take a week or two off or tell me that I may have to resign to prioritize my mental health. I literally can not take any unpaid days off and I’m not in a contract so I get no PTO or benefits. Over the last year I was dealing with panic attacks, the life transition of moving out of a toxic environment, graduating and having a “big girl” job all came at once. I went to the ER 3 times last year simply from panic attacks. When my boss noticed this they kinda said if it’s because of my job then “we have to talk about your future here because it only gets harder” which I found to be kinda crazy to say. Do people not think, hey wait, this may caused by a personal life problem. Anyways, idk, just wanted to rant. If I decide to have a 1:1 how should I bring it up?

I applied for renewal 1/13. EAD expired on 7/10 and I am currently on LOA. Stuck in the limbo of the unknown. Will I have a job if this drags out any longer!?

I had been consulting with lawyers about my options to AOS. Long story short, I requested a FOIA for myself and my mom. She is a US Citizen and the lawyer mentioned that getting her records could tell us if maybe I could adjust status through her without facing the potential of being barred.

USCIS requires that my mom give her permission for my “3rd party request.” I don’t live with my mom and my mom has zero tech skills, so I asked my sister (who does live with my mom) if she could check moms email and help her consent as I kept getting emails from USCIS that if the consent was not approved by 7/22 the request would expire. The day before yesterday my sister said she would do it. I texted her again this morning asking if she did it. No response. I get a call from my mom at 8pm tonight asking what consent was needed and that she didn’t know how to do it. She told me my sister who was out with friends had just called her and told her she needed to consent and so my mom called me because she doesn’t even know the concept of clicking on a link and following instructions. I made the drive over to my moms to consent and it was marked as complete.

I was furious because not only did my sister tell me she would do it, but when I asked her to confirm if she did I never got a response and had it not been for my mom calling me asking me how to do it the FOIA request would have been cancelled. Everyone knows my job is literally on the line. They ALL have papers and live their lives worry free. They don’t even know what a FOIA is so for all my sister knows this could have been the important item that was needed for me to keep my job but you know what? They. Don’t.Care. I am clearly an after though, but when they need to borrow money guess who the go to person is?

This delay has filled me with a resentment and rage among all kinds of other thoughts and feelings that I didn’t even know I still had!

I texted her telling her that if she wasn’t gonna effin do it she coulda at least just effin told me that and I blocked her right after hitting send.

There’s nothing worse than being so alone in all of this while everyone around you is oblivious to what were facing.

I hate this so bad.

This is the most recent one I’ve seen. The lawyer told me it might take times for it to show up on my USCIS website. BUT NOTHING HAS SHOWN UP. The most recent one is the one that is set to expire next year. Are you experiencing delays for this or just for the renewal?

The photo is an example do the latest date on file. I did the renewal with my lawyer (or paid them to do it) 2 months ago. Nothing shows up about that on my uscis account. Hence my question.
