Disgusting behavior by the cult for harassing a councilor who just lost their father.

I have an absurd request as tears are still flowing in my house. My 7 year old daughter hooked my 5 year old daughter up to a dog lead. She saw a bee, got scared, tried to run and the shirt was utterly ruined. I know, I should have seen it. But it happened moments after dinner while I was cleaning up and they were outside.

We just got the shirt when we visited from Ohio back in June and my daughter is distraught. Who knew a 5 year old would care about a tourist tee shirt?

Anyway, if someone here works at the Pier 60 shop or nearby and has access to this shirt in this color in a kids 5/6, I’d be more than pleased to pay for you to mail it to Ohio. They don’t seem to have a web site or I’d try to order it myself.

Bianca Latvala has lost another endorsement from a Clearwater City Councilmember. It's David Allbritton this time. You can see her response in her post, but her complaints are as illegitimate as her candidacy.

Read Bianca's statement carefully. Bianca's not saying she supports keeping the Gardens public for just the the city of Clearwater, which should be her priority. She's saying the city "should have delayed the vote to allow time to evaluate the County's downtown redevelopment plans and pursue a compromise that served Clearwater's long-term interests."

Why is Bianca considering the county plans and downplaying the city's interests with a compromise? Because she's playing both sides.

I've posted much of this stuff before, but it's worth repeating.

Listen carefully to what Bianca's said in candidate forums. Bianca's not saying she supports keeping the Gardens public. She's saying she wants to hear all sides. It's very likely she would pretend to be open-minded and then side with Scientologists after she got on the council because she had given the APPEARANCE of being fair. Once she had, she could vote for the Scientologists and use their arguments to say they are very rational AND KEEP voting for them in the future.

In addition, her husband Chris Latvala sits on the Pinellas County Commission and has tried to influence the city council's vote on the Gardens because the county has an interest in those properties.

You gotta wonder... If Chris Latvala is trying to influence this, what other strings will he try to pull? He's an outside influence trying to steer Clearwater in a way that benefits Pinellas County and NOT specifically the city residents. If Bianca (who didn't grow up in Clearwater and is only in local politics because she's employed by the Latvalas and married to Chris) gets on the council, Chris gets a puppet that votes the way Pinellas County does instead of pursuing the interests of city residents.

Bianca's a fake Clearwater resident who would replace Clearwater's interests with a desire to turn it into a playground for outside businesses that hire from outside the city and the Church of Scientology. She positions herself as an outsider, but she married into a family with ties to uncounted shady special interests that want power for themselves and aren't acting in the name of the city's residents and businesses. She's literally a PROXY for establishment politicians, specifically a flailing dynasty that's stressing about losing power.

Her position on the Gardens and future of public properties is unclear. Do you want someone on the council WHO CAN'T EVEN MAKE HER POLITICAL PRIORITIES CLEAR?!

NOBODY wants the scientologists here, but Bianca's not going to help get rid of them. NOTHING would get done while she's on the council because she's a flipflopper who would pass bullshit rules that do little except help Scientologists, out-of-state developers, and Big Money special interests.

I wouldn't vote for someone this dubious. Bianca is supposed to be accountable to you, but she's acting like she wants to be your voice without understanding what you're saying. When candidates have vague positions like this, it's our responsibility to question them on it and call them out on their deceitful ways. Do your research before casting your ballot.

Hi, stopping by Clearwater this week and wondering what's the best place for lunch preferably with a view, either on the beach or downtown

Edit: someone recommended Tropico, which is basically the pool bar at the Hyatt on the eighth floor, so we had lunch there. Great view, surprisingly good food, not cheap. We had the chicken salad stuffed avocado and a salad and both were very tasty, along with a couple of specialty cocktails that were also good. You can park in the garage for free if you get your ticket validated at lunch

Is there a doctor’s office that will check only my blood pressure for cheap (I will also need a written statement from the doctor)?

Edit: It has to be a manual blood pressure check and I have to get 2 done within a 5 day period.

look, i’m not picky, i make about 65k, other bills add up to about $600 but i am alone and i cannot do a roommate. If anyone is in a similar situation and were able to find a decent apartment just please spill the beans and save me the mental torture of apartment searching.

My dad’s birthday (late 40’s) is coming up at the end of July, and he says he would prefer an experience as a gift over something physical. Hello! I just moved here with kids. Would love any recommendations for community, child care/nanny, & general fun things to do with or without the kiddos!

Currently on vacation trying to pinpoint our next one. We seem to alternate between the Gulf and Atlantic every year, and next year is a gulf trip.

This trip however we’re trying to prevent a typical Panama/Destin/Gulf Shore visit and would like to move further down the panhandle. A friend mentioned the Clearwater area along with Indian Beach and St Pete Beach. Naples and Ft Meyers were even suggested. We’re undecided on the best area for us.

We have no particular wants other than being oceanfront. Room doesn’t even need to have the view, but being able to stay on property and access the beach is a must. Wife would prefer the pool to be on the beach side but this feels more resort specific and not town specific.

For the area we like a little bit of the a touristy feeling that we could walk to restaurants or beach shops, but not overly buzzing like a PCB. Pensacola seemed to have that fine balance we liked. Good little shopping/dining hub, but quiet 5 minutes either direction. A boardwalk would be cool, but not a must. 80% of our time is spent not leaving the resort minus dinner or a grocery run or maybe a walk to the sticker/t shirt shop.

Cost is always a factor however it’s vacation. As long as we’re not spending $1000 a night on a resort or $100 a person per dinner we’re comfortable with it.

I also like to consider myself a low level amateur photographer so cool spots to take pictures of history or city views is an added benefit.

Gonna spend close to $200 on parking at the hotel. Is it just better to uber around everywhere?

Time to start cleaning up this horrible city council! Scientology is throwing its votes behind Sam Wilson and Jared Leone. Sam Wilson campaign is supported by wealthy Scientologists. Jared Leone is the lesser of two evils, as they didn't like Bianca Latvalas commentary on the Garden Ave. situation. Vote Wisely.

I am looking for at least 2 bedrooms with a washer and dryer with a patio. I have ESAs so I need to make sure that it allows cats. My limit is $1850 so nothing crazy.

SN: One thing that really bothers me is the fact that I would love to rent from a private landlord but the move-in costs are ridiculous. The fact that I have to pay $5k to move in is hard for anyone. A lot of places are empty because of the high costs.

I’m relocating to the Clearwater area and considering a second-floor one-bedroom at Four Lakes at Clearwater.

The pricing looks reasonable, but I’ve seen mixed reviews and wanted feedback from current or recent residents. How is the property regarding pests, mold, water issues, noise, safety, maintenance response times, and management?

I’m also curious about the average monthly water/sewer and common-area electric charges. Were there any unexpected fees, deposit problems, or move-out charges?

Please share your honest experience. I’d especially appreciate recent feedback from the past year.
