Original post body:

I've been using Claude Code Max 20x heavily for months, so I have a pretty good feel for what my normal usage looks like.

Today something happened that feels almost identical to the quota bugs we've seen before.

My weekly usage went from roughly 60% to 100% within about an hour, despite doing the same kind of work I've been doing for weeks. I didn't suddenly start feeding huge codebases or doing anything unusual.

This immediately reminded me of the previous incidents where:

  • usage counters suddenly depleted far faster than normal,
  • some users saw massive percentage jumps,
  • and Anthropic later acknowledged a quota-accounting bug and reset affected users' limits.

I'm not claiming this is definitely the same bug, but the behavior is similar enough that I think it's worth investigating.

Has anyone else noticed today that:

  • weekly usage is increasing much faster than usual?
  • percentages suddenly jump by large amounts?
  • you're hitting limits despite a normal workload?

If this turns out to be another server-side metering issue, I'd really appreciate Anthropic investigating it and resetting weekly and session limits for affected users, just like they did during the previous incident.

Would love to hear whether this is isolated to my account or if others are seeing the same thing.

I do not want my account to get fixed. I am seeking whether this has happened to anyone else or not, so I can ensure whether this is a hack, the account label problem, or something else.

~~~~~
I woke up like this.
- The current session is 100% used.
- The $100 credits that I didn't receive yesterday night in the morning were 100% used.
- My auto pay was turned on, which I turned off right now before I took the screenshot.
- Even though I received an SMS from my credit card company that tomorrow the $50 will get debited from my credit card for the FABL 5 uses, because the auto pay was turned on
And I have done nothing from any of the above.
No one else was using my account, and it is clearly not hacked because I didn't receive any login emails.
So the account hack is out of the task.
Still, for security purposes, I deleted all my personal logins.
[r/ClaudeAI] I still think Opus 4.6 is the best after Fable 5. After I lost free access to Fable on my Pro plan, I decided to go back to Opus 4.6.
Opus 4.8 has terrible context management it loses the thread of conversation, doesn't do what you actually asked, wastes tokens, and produces walls of text instead of getting the job done. Opus 4.6 understands tasks better. I think it's the last Opus-class model that Anthropic really put effort into.
I agree that 4.8 is generally better at coding and agent tasks. But it's still much worse at understanding context and following logic. It does too many unnecessary things, and in my opinion it's overly polite and heavily censored. Despite not having obvious external classifiers like Fable, Opus 4.8 refuses much more often to work with seemingly ordinary things that both Fable and Opus 4.6 handle without issues.
Recently, Opus 4.8 got spooked by my Vertex AI keys and refused to make a skill that connects Nano Banana to Opus — I genuinely don't understand why it considered that dangerous.
[r/ClaudeAI] Enjoy 4.6 / 4.8's thinking while you can - Anthropic is rolling out near-zero-info thinking for it like GPT
So, I've been running two accounts, and have had this applied to one and not the other. Only a matter of time till it rolls out to everyone.
Instead of Opus 4.6 showing its normal thinking, the system has changed it to vague, half-sentence summaries, so you don't get to read it anymore and make sure it's on the right track.
This was one of the only genuinely better features Anthropic had against GPT - to be able to actually check its thinking process and whether it was understanding what you said. Hope it's not permanent, but we'll see!
Three year subscriber, think this is the final straw for me personally. This was one of the only genuinely better features Anthropic had against GPT - to be able to actually check its thinking process and whether it was understanding what you said.
After more than a year of using claude and claude code exclusively, and being subscribed to the pro plan, i always thought id stay team anthropic forever, but today i cancelled my subscription because i've had enough, not only does anthropic have way stricter limits than openAI and gemini, which is already bad enough! And now they decide to remove fable from the pro plan completely meanwhile openAI offers a similarly capable model with higher usage limits and included in the 20$ plan! Anthropic's downfall seems to be inevitable. Waiting for gemini 3.5 pro to see if we stay team openai or join team google!
