Did you salvage some ladders off the Don Holt and want to flip them for beer money?

Need someone to pressure wash your lawn?

James Island Tri County Dental Arts

“This dentist has refused to release patient records of Dr. James Decker and has engaged in violation of HIPAA and identify theft. I recommend current and former patients seek legal counsel immediately in addition to filing a police report.

In addition this dentist has taken financial advantage of elderly patients and legal remedies will be sought”

I put the post in quotes on the google reviews part of his page.

If you were a patient of Dr. James Decker your records got transferred/Sold to Dr. Boller/Tri County Dental Arts and if you have have been improperly billed/over-billed, have any complaints about this dentist please reply to this post.

Dr. Boller took advantage of my elderly mother medically and financially and refuses to take responsibility for his actions

I need as many complaints as possible in order to take legal action on this.

Update 3/4/26, after speaking to multiple former patients by Reddit messaging Dr. Boller has engaged in fraudulent billing and identity theft.

I need everyone to take these allegations extremely seriously before making this post I consulted with three lawyers I know and Dr. Boller needs to be brought up on charges but the lawyers need more evidence from patients who experienced this.

Goose Creek It’s so lonely here.

Where is everyone??? I just moved here from Arizona, 6 states away from all of my friends and family, and there’s literally nobody my age here. I just turned 18, 3 months ago and got a job at one of the shipbuilding companies over here so I thought it would be a cool idea to move out of state and start something on my own. I quite literally haven’t seen anyone under the age of 30 here 🫩. I have my own nice apartment in a nice looking part of town but I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to make friends with people my age, especially since I’m going be working in a shipyard and I’m completely new to this place. Are there any places where I’ll at least have a chance at making friends with people my age?? I don’t really party or rave but I’ll go anywhere to at least have a chance at making friends here. There’s a lot of cool squirrels here which is pretty nice though.

Movie Theater Rentals

Curious if there is a group in Charleston or people here that would be interested in renting out a theater maybe once a month to screen old movies you don’t get to see on the big screen anymore.

I know there are a lot of smaller theaters in big cities that screen older movies all the time and I wish we had that here but never see much. The occasional movie anniversary.

Not sure how I’d even go about starting that/collecting the money each month but if we could somehow do it through the theater I think it would be a pretty fun thing.

Charleston Co. puts half-penny transportation tax on 2026 ballot

Since it passed and is going on the ballet in November, any thoughts on the probably final proposal?

In case you do not know, the Transportation Sales Tax(TST) is a 0.5% sales tax added onto any qualified purchase in the county, which is used to fund a number of transportation/road and greenbelt projects, as well as, for instance, providing a third of CARTA's funding. This will go to the voters in November as an extension to the current TST, meaning if it is passed, the sales tax rate will stay the same and the funding will be used on the projects specified, and if it fails, the sales tax rate will fall 0.5% in 2027 when the current TST expires.

I do appreciate the fact that they decided to include: "All featured projects, intersection projects, pavement management projects and all other projects shall consider the inclusion of bicycle, pedestrian and public transit access in the design process, as contextually appropriate."

I think that while I would want more money going to these projects, I think the balance is about to be expected.

For info on the covered projects, exact amounts, and more info: TST Webpage

hello all! I saw a post on here about the cafe blūm, downtown. I also worked there VERY recently and can confirm that all of it is true. coming on here to confirm that as well as warn people about their reviews.

anytime anyone writes a review under 4 stars, they have their family post/repost reviews. I left am honest review about my experience and was attacked, and then 4+ reviews were re posted. “Maria Fernandez, Lazaro Paez, Premier Vacation Rentals” and anyone with the last name Paez are all them and their family… just FYI.

If you guys see smoke over the bridge in the Mt. Pleasant area tomorrow

This was a weather statement we got near the forest today.

* IMPACTS...The Horse Island Wildfire burning in the Francis Marion National Forest near Shulerville will likely produce widespread dense smoke tonight. The smoke may reduce visibility to 1 mile or less across portions of Berkeley County tonight. Watch for dense smoke on area roadways, especially on Highway 45 between Jamestown and the Charleston County line.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Has anyone noticed any significant progress on this project? All I have really seen is the “affordable” apartments going up across from the recovery room.

West Ashley Drum Lessons?

Any recommendations for drum lessons for my 12 year old son? Ideally in West Ashley but not a must.

He took some private lessons a year or so ago but his instructor isn’t around anymore. He really want to get back into it with a teacher.

Furniture pickup for donation?

Hi, I'm moving away this Friday and still have some large stuff that hasn't sold on FB marketplace. I'd prefer not to dump this stuff if it could be valuable for someone else. Any recs on a donation center or other service that could pick it up for me? Willing to a pay a reasonable amount for the service

garbage services missing our house

Hi - I just moved back downtown after some time off peninsula and have found that Waste Services tends to miss our bins on pick up days. Some weeks, our trash and recycle will be collected and other weeks it won't. This was not an issue at my last rental so just a little frustrated and confused.

I try to place our bins in an obvious spot (usually blocking our driveway, pretty much in the street, so it cannot be missed) but they somehow missed us again today. I also put the bins out the night before. I called Waste Management today but have not heard back.

We live on a very busy street so I'm sure they're trying to hustle and get out of everyone elses way ASAP.

Any advice or tips?

Bless Your Heart Mode ICE pulled over and threatened a citizen

On July 9th in North Charleston, ICE pulled over a U.S. citizen and threatened to break his window and drag him out of the car if he didn’t show ID.

Video link: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1Xfx7XTkga/

Elected officials have remained silent. Please speak up and call or email the North Charleston town council and mayor and tell them to condemn this. Thanks.

Single 40s in Summerville

Hey there!

I'm relocating to the Charleston metro in a few weeks and staying in a cute cul de sac in N. Charleston while I home shop.

I'm in an atypical demographic of a woman in her 40s, never married, don't have kids - but two big dogs instead.

Over the years, I've lived in 9 states. I was in the military. Have friends from all places. I did a few month stint in the Charleston metro in my early 20s and loved it. Was down there for an interview about six weeks ago. Now working remotely.

Because I'm middle aged with big dogs, apartment/townhome/small home life isn't for me, so I'm scoping out Summerville, or Ladson, Hanahan/Summers Corner. I like a LITTLE bit more space than Nexton or Carnes Crossroads are offering, but their amenities are great.

Is there anybody out there like me? I'm wondering if I'll be able to make friends who have some similarities to me. I have all types of friends, but definitely don't want to be the only single lady in the middle of a group of ONLY PTA moms, simply because our lives and priorities are different. I'm looking for peers with similar lifestyles.

If you are like me, have you been able to create a support network in Charleston? I can be outgoing and social, love to volunteer, paddleboard, cook, trail walk, etc. and I'm excited to be a gym goer again after a year with a lot of moves.

Where are you finding success making friends? Are there men our age to date? What has making friends and dating been like for you?
