I'm 24 years old and experienced psychosis almost a year ago. I wanted to share some of the experiences I had during my episode to see if anyone has gone through something similar.

During my psychosis, I became convinced that my chakras were becoming unstable. I felt like my root chakra (associated with stability and grounding) was "falling," and later I felt what I interpreted as my heart chakra suddenly "exploding." When I closed my eyes, I saw vivid green colors and heard a distressing sound. At the time, I believed that my love for my family and my passion for my profession were leaving me. Before that, I had experienced something similar with what I believed was my third eye chakra, which I associated with knowledge and understanding.

I had gone about six days without sleeping. One time, when I finally tried to sleep, I woke up and saw a glowing orb of light with green, purple, and bluish colors. It seemed to drift slowly away. At the time, I believed it was part of my energy—or even a fragment of my soul—leaving me. I was so frightened that I didn't try to approach it. I felt as though the person I used to be was leaving and returning to the universe.

Since then, I haven't quite felt like myself. My emotions and the way I experience things feel different, and sometimes I still wonder about those experiences and what they meant.

I'm curious whether anyone else had vivid sensory experiences or spiritual themes during psychosis that were difficult to make sense of afterward. If you're comfortable sharing, I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences and how you've come to understand them.
