[BL-Tales] Tell tales from Borderlands first play

I found this on a fluke! I thought he tell tales was just a walking dead thing.

I was playing the Commander of a DLC for the first time after not playing borderlands two for over 10 years and finally got to the part where I was able to talk to Moxie, and she mentioned that the scooter had died.

Which left me completely heart broken he is my favorite character- and after googling for a little bit, I found that he died off screen in this game so I went got it thank goodness it was on sale on the switch.

AND OH MY This is so funny and great!! I just got to the point there Jack is showing up 😂 ☠️ this is amazing and we’ve though there is less action, my favorite thing about the franchise in general is the writing and the humor so this is perfect cause I get all of that and storyline.

And I can’t wait to play though again making different choices!! Though I do wonder is it just low key dialogue like in Skyrim where it is different but just subtly so or do the choices really make a big impact where the game can feel really different?

Either way I’m definitely playing again but I am curious how to approach the next play though already.

[BL1] Can anyone give any tips for BDL1 Circle of duty.(Xbox no mods)

(SOLVED).....I'm currently on playthrough 2 at level 63, I only have to take down crawmerax and finish wave 3 of circle of duty and I'm done 100% of the game, problem is after 3 hours of dying over and over from the most ridiculous things, I cant beat circle of duty round 3, either a badass racketeer spawns wich 1 taps me no matter where I hide and he'll never go for my turret (roland) or the elite crimson guards at the end shred me to peices. I have corrosive lvl 5 turret with rockets and pretty much everything else, I have a 2k shield that regenerates health and I have plenty and plenty of ammo but I just cant do it. Please any tips or maybe there's a spot I can hide that they cant reach me?

[BL4] Multipliers over dps display

Hello everyone, currently on my first BL4 run and having no Idea, Im running a harlowee neutron capture build with all those radiation damage perks in It

For example, if a SMG radiation drops and its displayed 250 dps, this damage is counted pre or post buffs? Its better to keep this smg or another one with 300 dps without radiation?

[BL4] What are the must have guns for Vex?

I've had a huge break from the game and just got back into it, hit level 60 and am working through the DLCs, current loadoit is a Parasite, Wombo Combo, Seventh Sense and a Hellwalker/Jakobs Shotgun with Spread Launcher UB.

Looking for suggestions on Pistols and guns in general to diversify what I'm using, mainly focusing on Witchy Trigger Finger

Just finished BL2, want to turn on TVHM and jump straight into the DLCs without replaying the main story..

Is there any downside to turning on TVHM and then just going straight into the DLCs? I want the better gear that TVHM drops, but I really don't want to replay content I just finished.

What's the best route forward here?

[BL4] Unbelievable Luck! Dropped a Pearlescent "Ambushing Gomez" at LEVEL 11 from a random Badass enemy. Is this a world record? (Save file attached)

Hey everyone!

I'm currently on my first playthrough of Borderlands 4, running a Vexcalation build. I was just passing through the early areas, and then THIS happened. At level 11, a literal Pearlescent "Ambushing Gomez" (Jakobs) dropped from a regular, random Badass enemy out in the open (not even inside a Rift anomaly or a Dome!).

I honestly couldn't believe my eyes because I know Pearlescents are supposed to be endgame-locked or have a near-zero world drop rate early on. It carries an insane base damage and completely melts everything. I'm currently level 19 (just beat Gnus in about 2 minutes with it), and this gun is still absolutely destroying every single mob and boss.

I know it sounds suspicious, so I am attaching my clean, unmodified save file below. Feel free to check the item hash — it’s a 100% legitimate, natural game-generated drop. No save editors, no cheats, just pure chaotic RNG.

Has anyone else seen a Pearl world drop this early from a regular Badass? Is level 11 the current lowest record for BL4? Let me know what you think!

[Question] "New" borderlands fan. Should i buy bl4 and 2?

Right now im "new" bl fan, i like the games lore and world a lot but never interacted with the community. I own bl3 i haven't finished it yet after many playthroughs due to what i call "skyrim effect" but its tons of fun, i bought the first one and i didn't like it has much due to probably being old, but i can see why people like it still today there where things i liked.

But my question is should i buy the 4th game? Is it funny and witty like the 3rd. Because i heard pretty mixed reviews but i dont want that to cloud my own judgement.

And 2 im afraid to buy because i dont know if its just as slow paced as the first or got more improvements both in story and gameplay

Borderlands 5 Villain Idea

I think they should kill Ava off-screen and then have the BL5 villain be a siren with the phase-leech and phase-lock abilities. Now I know Troy Calypso was technically the phase-lock villain, but what if, in 5, the whole Crimson Resistance was in the mindset that Ava had gone rogue and was going after the powers of the vaults herself? At the climax of figuring out it wasn't Ava, they find phase-leech siren was responsible for killing her and opening the vaults. She’s using her siren abilities along with the vaults to create an army of vault monsters capable of wiping out the entire Borderlands universe — and that’s what the Watcher was warning about when they said “WAR IS COMING.”

It may be shitty, but it's a good way to retcon Ava being the new "leader" of the Crimson Raiders from BL3. Any thoughts?

Just picked up borderlands and am blown away.

not karma farming or trying to be loser but my current friends are not gamers at all. so I have no one to tell about how much I am enjoying the game.

back in the day I couldn't afford a lot of games so I typically found 1 or 2 games per year and played them to death. age of empires, command and conquer, diablo 1 and 2, wow, and lineage 2. when hellgate London came out I was so hyped for a wow/diablo2 game because those were my favorites. however that game died pretty quick. then I met my wife and started having kids, sold my Xbox and PC (needed money) and went into the kid bubble. I didn't't really hear about alot of movies or games for a long time.

well now my kids are older, I have more free time and make decent money. I found a bundle of 30 Xbox 360 games for 40$ on FBM and one of them was borderlands. I popped it in and went in blind. currently a level 27 siren with a hellfire SMG and firefly mod just running around melting enemies, doing quests, going crazy with loot and having all those old wow, diablo, hellgate London flashbacks. As a 35 year old dad now I am totally blown away by how addicted I am to this game because it seems like games I used to enjoy just don't hit the same as they used to. however borderlands gave me that "I need to play" addict feeling back I have not had in a long time.

thanks for your time.

Story mission skip for BL4

I did my first playthrough of BL4 in a friends session and I got on today to start doing some bosses alone for drops i completed the first mission and it asked if id like to skip all the missions i completed in that other session I hit yes and literally nothing happened completed 2 more story missions hoping it’d give me the message again clicked it two more times didn’t work but I can start a fresh level 30 with all the story done anyway to fix this?

Just finished borderlands 1, what is this "ending"??

I already played BL2, BL3, pre-sequel and wonderlands, but I always wanted to visit the origins of the saga.

I loved the part of the crimson lance, old haven, how pandora became what it is but...

Where is the destruction of new haven?

where are the connections to BL2? not a single mention to hyperion besides the weapons?

what was the purpose of angel? I know what happens with angel in BL2 but she does not have a clear purpose in this game, kill the vault monster, why?

Jack shouldnt be in charge yet, right? this is before the pre-sequel, so why is angel so important for hyperion already

Claptrap ninja? wtf?

Borderlands 2 - General Remarks and Questions (Veteran Player)

Hey everyone, I've been a veteran Borderlands player for most of my life, been playing since I was still in the single digits (can't remember years).

I have some general discussion to go through, so please don't leave hate, as I have genuine questions for the community as I would like to change my outlook of Borderlands 2 in some way.

After playing various characters to OP 10 over the years, I find it increasingly tedious as I learn even more about the pacing of the story and leveling.

Let me input my understanding.

Normal Playthrough:
Get to Level 35-38ish by the end of the main story + all side quests
Do all dlcs, which are severely underlevelled and tedious, as all are capped at Level 35 (All gear, money and XP are seemingly worthless by this point)

True Vault Hunter Playthrough:
Slightly more difficult (Awesome!)
Goal: Get to end of main story, and don't over-level past 50

You may be asking, why not get past level 50?

Well, most veterans would argue that getting to 50 or beyond in playthrough 2 will cause some severe issues starting the third playthrough, as enemies are tougher, and your gear will be under what's required at that stage, dealing too little damage, and your shields may be very bad in comparison, which can cause some stutters in progress in the beginning until you upgrade, not so bad.

But the issue is, you may need to skip content in the game to circumvent this if you want the "perfect" pacing.

Personally, I think in any regard, skipping content is simply bad game design. I should WANT to do everything before moving on.

Same issues here, dlcs are tedious, long, and most gear is unusable...again. (Most random drops will be better)

Finally, Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode:
Should start here between 50-53
Enemies are FINALLY scaled (took 3 playthroughs)
You need to level here from say 50 - 80. This is the longest grind, and the most tedious in my opinion. You may be asking why? Well, just doing a normal third playthrough + all dlcs will get you only to about 71-74. You need to restart the entirety of the third playthrough OR dedicate time to farming a boss for XP (Looking at you Mick Zafford).

Additionally, all the gear you received throughout the playthrough will be quickly trivialized due to the scaling being increased throughout, so all the unique weapons such as the sandhawk, pimpernel and so on, will need to be refarmed...again on subsequent resets.

Now I don't know about you, but I enjoy doing all the sidequests, and all the exclamation marks over the map left unanswered annoy me to no end. I have to complete them (Its content I paid for, obviously I'm gonna do it.)

But now we get to the last gripe that I haven't mentioned. SLAG

Many mixed feelings on this, but I think it shouldn't have to be a near necessity for gameplay. You're restricting a weapon slot to a slag weapon, and you need to constantly swap to use the weapon instead of dedicating your time and effort to your favourite gun types (much like Borderlands 1). Instead you need to swap, slag, swap, slag. Personally, I do NOT find it to be fun or unique. If the end game was balanced better, slag could be an amazing OPTIONAL element, but not completely necessary as it is.

Finally, the OP Levels:

These suck serious swamp bum, doing the same area over and over, having to REFARM all the gear you got over the last dozens of overs every 2-3 OP levels, and need I say again, MORE THIRD PLAYTHROUGH RESETS. Do the same missions, kill the same bosses, skip MORE of the game to get to the 5-7 good unique weapons again.

Personally, I do not mind playing the game, I do not suck enough to even call out a skill issue, I'm just very annoyed with the strange pacing of everything past the end of the main game of playthrough 1. Why is it so abysmal? How do you guys enjoy such a mismatched/crisscross progression system?

Borderlands 1 was awesome! Sure the DLC's were capped at 35 in playthrough 1, but everything past that in playthrough 2 was golden, and FAIR if you build correctly and dedicate time to focus on your playstyle, not having to adapt to a specific element or single gun for debuffing + healing

What are your honest opinions/takes?

[BL1] borderlands 1 xbox 360 low fps

So, i just played borderlands 1 for the first time on the 360

Is it normal that the game runs BADLY? Or is it just my console

Like, the game can go from 30 fps to low 20s or even what it feels like 15

Depending on the place the fps is crazy low

For exemple, on the first area of the game, when i exit the cave the fps is super low, also when im going to the "base" where the medic guy is, the fps is low

Or when im in a fight it drops too

The game feels very inconsistent with the fps

[BL4] New player - how to fix BL4 performance issues?

The title pretty much says it all. My PC is rather good, not cutting edge anymore but I can play every game without issues. BL4 is rather unstable even with the worst graphic options. I assume this is a CPU issue? What to do?

[Question] Should I get wonderlands or BL3 dlcs?

Hey everyone! Couple of years ago I finished BL3 and I really liked it but I just had basic edition. Now since there is an ongoing sale on xbox store, I am thinking to get either BL3 season pass and reply whole game again with DLCs OR should I just get Tina's wonderlands?

Should I Pick Up BL4?

Hey! Don't know if this question gets asked a lot or not, but I'm on the fence about BL4. I loved 3. 2 was one of my favorites. Wonderlands was enjoyable at moments for me.

I just see a few posts here and there about performance issues and endgame content. I don't have a lot of money to spend on gaming nowadays (who does really), so before I jump in with both feet, I just wanted to ask. I'd be running it on PC with a 3080ti, 32GB ram, 990 pro storage, i7 9700k CPU, and I'd run it at 1440p on a 144hz monitor.

So my thing is: is the game in a spot for replayability and stability or do I need to wait for it to get some improvements made before going in? Thanks in advance for y'all's input.
