What if the rights for Blue Beetle were owned by Marvel? Would he be too much of a “Spider-Man clone” to stake out his own identity? Do you think Marvel would promote him more than DC does currently? Or would he fade into obscurity? What are some villains you think would be great for Jaime to face? Who would be his nemesis? Would he be a part of any teams? Which characters would you like to see him interact with?

I’m really excited about Jaime making a proper appearance in the DCU in Man of Tomorrow, but it’s also made me curious to know if there’s been even another crumb of news about the previously mentioned animated show that is supposedly in the works. Can anyone point me towards an article or post with a recent update?

I liked Blue Beetle, but I felt it was a bit too close to the standard superhero formula. The humor felt safe, the villain was forgettable, and the Scarab was mostly treated as a powerful alien weapon instead of something truly unique and mysterious.
After seeing what Matt Reeves did with The Batman and what James Gunn seems to be doing with Superman, I hope Blue Beetle gets a more personal and different approach in the DCU. The Scarab has so much potential to be something intelligent, ancient, and mysterious instead of just another suit.
I think Dan Trachtenberg (Prey) would be a great fit. He proved he can create something memorable with a relatively modest budget, and I think he could really explore the sci-fi side of Blue Beetle and make the character feel less like a typical superhero.

Honestly, I'm ecstatic!! I was so hoping the rumors were true and he would show up in peacemaker season 2 but having his necks appearance being a big movie like this is going to be great!!

From what I read these seems to be the plan with the character: appearance and man of tomorrow, hopefully a good role. Because of we're dealing with brainiac. We are dealing with space and maybe a light mention of the reach.

We know he has an animated series coming out sometime next year. That's going to be a follow-up.

And I believe, though I can't confirm, that it was reported that he would be part of the Titans.

They have a chance to do something really great for the character, especially with the booster gold show. Finally settling on a writer and my hope that Ted will appear in it.

Will we get a sequel to the movie? Unlikely but I'm hopeful!

So here is the cover of my comic book that will feature my own rendition and derivative based off the Dan Garret Charlton Blue Beetle that gets their powers from an Egyptian Artifact.

Lapis Lazuli is a queen bee cheerleader of Golden Private High of Midas City (my earth's San Francisco) for the class of 2004. She will face many challenges of trying to balance being appointed the next Beetle Relic Holder against her own wishes as she tries to balance it with school life and home life. Her future and life now is in the balance.

I feel like this version of Kord is the best outside of the comics due to him being a mix of the Ditko\Len wein more serious comic runs and JLI more comedic tone I really liked we got the Charlton origin he is respected by his peers and is not treated like a joke but he also has went on dumb adventures with Booster really the best of both worlds.

I just saw this movie Blue Beetle and it had potential and I really liked the costume and weapons, but this one is for the kiddos. The main character is soft as a marshmallow, he doesn't want to hurt anyone but is getting his ass kicked up and down the street. And also him simping over this woman he got on my nerves. I guess more into the movies like Deadpool where there is actual violence and not this. Spoiler, the worst thing that happened was his grampa having a heart attack. As for the bad guys not even a bone was broken. Blah

I miss when Ted kord Was not a comedic character and teamed up with other Heores like The Question,Captain atom etc

How do you guys feel about having a Blue Beetle before Dan Garrett Since The Fox Feature Syndicate Blue Beetle and Charlton Blue Beetle are 2 different characters I'd say make him one of Dan family members For example his Uncle name him Jack keep all his golden age villains Big dix etc I also keep his orginal costume just being a blue suit with a fedora with a mask with a beetle on it Also He could keep his origin as a cop and get his power from a pill made by his pharmacist
