Almost 3 months in. Controlling the hair is getting tough, it doesn't want to point down. Might be time to get an actual balm (i'm using oil and a leave-in conditioner right now) or get the beard shaped finally

28 years old 4-5 weeks of no shaving.

I will give it til atleast 12 weeks and see how it looks but wondering what people’s thoughts are at this stage. Will it fill out or always be patchy, just long and patchy… or can’t tell?

The cats name is Tilly and she has a great beard.

Hey all! So I’m growing my beard back out but this is usually the point where I mess something up and go back to stubble again. My left and right sides grow in fairly different and it’s always been a struggle to get right. Any advice?

I have had a beard for about a year, but I've been shaving a lot of my cheek area because it grows in very blonde and patchy. I tried to grow it out this July and have had better results than in the past, should I let it ride or trim it back?

I seem to have strong growth in my goatee but the cheeks are still patchy.

Is it worth it to keep trying to grow a full beard?

Hello, I posted 1 month ago asking for advice on my patchy beard. For reminder, I'm 29 and kept a 5 millimeters stubble then I let my beard grow out for 2 months. The feedback was mostly that it was fine and to be patient. Now I've reached the 3 months and wanted your opinion on how it looks ! Especially since that my beard is on the patchy side and it looks a bit different depending on the lighting. The first three pictures are taken outdoors, while the last two are taken under shade.

What I did :

Combed it daily with a bristle brush. Applied oils every two to three days. Frequent trimming on the neck and upper cheeks.

I kind of struggle to trim the mustache. It's hard to get a clean straight line as there's always some split hair and I don't want to overtrim it. Also, the hairs in the Charlie Chaplin's area seems to pile up while the rest is going sideways. So it makes the trimming even more awkward.

Do I maintain it like this ? Keep it growing ? Call off the whole thing or trim it down ? I'm open to any suggestions and advice !

I have a fatter head and weak chin, so I grew a beard. I think it succeeds (along with the haircut) and making my head longer, but it's kind of thin and I can't grow hair on my cheeks so it's an extended goatee. Is it worth keeping, somehow improving, or should I shave it?

First time growing a beard. Should I dye it to make it look fuller, or keep it natural?

I’m 23 and this is my first time seriously growing a beard. It’s been about 11 days so far.
I own a business in the real estate industry, and one of my biggest goals is to look more mature and established. I know experience matters more than appearance, but first impressions are real.
My beard has a lot of blonde and lighter hairs, especially on the cheeks and mustache, so it looks thinner than I think it really is. I’ve been debating using a beard dye (probably a light or medium brown) just to darken those lighter hairs and make it appear a bit fuller without looking fake.

Hey everyone,

I'm not sure what to do with my facial hair right now and could use some outside perspective.

Should I keep the beard as it is, trim it down, or just shave it completely clean? I'm open to trying a specific style if you think it would suit my face better.

Thanks for the help!

Help

I’ve had a fairly short beard for 10 years but recently decided to let it grow. I love the length but think I need a plan. I’ve always had a more prominent moustache which was more obvious with a shorter beard and would love that to be bigger though it seems to have stalled. My last barber made a mess and left my beard with 5 different lengths I had to fix at home so really want to know what to ask for next time as it’s now just getting bigger and curlier. Advice please. 🙏🏻
