ONOMASTICS OF PREKORUPLJE
(Part II)
INTRODUCTION
This part of the work will present onomastic material from eighteen settlements in Prekoruplje. During the summer of 1977, I visited Berkovo, Biča, Grabac, Zlokućane, Klinavac, Leskovac, Mali Đurđelik, Rs-novac and Štupelj, and a year later Drenovčić, Dušević, Jelovac, Jodališća, Klina and Pograđe; during the summer of 1979, Radulovac was processed, and the following year, Voćnjak and Krnjinci. In the aforementioned settlements, I recorded 611 houses: 605 Orthodox and 6 Muslim.
BIČA (БИЧА)
Most of the village lies on the sunny side of the hill, and a small part of the hill itself. The village is located about 7 km north of Klina. The settlement is compact, with a few detached houses of recent settlers.
There are two Serbian cemeteries in the village. The old one is on the plateau of a hill and no burials are held there. In the middle of the cemetery, you can see the remains of the Svete Nedelje church, around which there are several stone crosses without inscriptions. The second cemetery is located on a hill next to the village. It also has foreign stone crosses, covered in moss.
There are two more cemeteries in Biča: the Gypsy Cemetery and the Latin Cemetery. The first is located on a hill above the village and the "Gypsies" from the village are buried there. The Latin Cemetery is located on a slope of the hill, north of the village. The locals believe that the Latins, who lived here before the Serbs moved in, were buried there. There are only a few stones in it, and sometimes the water reveals a few bones.
There is no primary school in Bica, so children study in the neighboring village of Štupelje.
It is predominantly inhabited by Serbs. There are 55 Serbian houses in the village; in addition to them, there are also four "Gypsies" houses. The average number of members in a Serbian house is 7.16 per household.
Thirty-one of the surveyed houses (one brotherhood) originated from the village of Vrbica in Kuči (present-day Montenegro), from where their ancestors, according to tradition, fled long ago due to blood feuds. Between the two world wars, six houses came from the Nikšić area. Four houses do not preserve the tradition of their origin. Three houses moved from Raška to Metohija, and came to this village from the neighboring village of Drenovčića. Three houses originated from Morača, and before coming to this village they lived in neighboring villages. Two houses originated from the Cetinje area; they came to Metohija at the end of the 18th century, and moved to Bič from a neighboring village. Two houses moved from Lijeva Rijeka (Vasojevići, present-day Montenegro) around 1880. One house moved from the Kuršumlija area, one from Kosanička Rača, one from Lebane and one from the neighboring village of Berkova.

ANTIĆ, a secondary surname of three Doncic houses. Anta was the sources grandfather. Informant: Dragić Dončić, 51 years old.
BODIĆ, secondary surname of three Dončić houses. Bogdan (Boda) was the informants grandfather. Informant:Radoje Dončić, 46 years old
DENIĆ, secondary surname of four Dončić houses. Nedeljko (Deka) was the informant's father. Informant: Danilo Dončić, 49 years old.
DONČIĆ, thirty-one houses. Their ancestors moved from Vrbica in Kuči long ago. They fled because of blood feuds and replaced the surname Petrović with the surname Dončić. Slava of Saint John (20. AD), small slava of Saint John of the summer (7. VII). Informant: Dragić Dončić, 51 years old.

BUGIĆ, secondary surname of three Dončić houses. Bura Dončić was the informant's great-grandfather. Informant: Dragoljub Dončić, 50 years old.
ÐURÐEVIĆ, one house. They moved from Toplica in 1933. Until 1913, their last name was Mihajlović. They took their new last name after Đurđ, the informant's grandfather. Slava of St. John (20. 1), small slava of St. John (7. VII). Informant: Boško Đurđević, 67 years old.
ERAKOVIĆ, two houses. They moved from Banjani near Nikšić in 1930. Slava Aranđelovdan, mala slava Pantelijevdan. Informant: Ratko Erakovic, 36 years old.
ŽOLJIĆ, secondary surname of three Dončić houses. Žolja was the informant's father. Informant: Đorđe Dončić, 64 years old.
ILIĆ, one house. They came from the area of Lebane in 1937. Slava of Saint Nicholas. Informant: Živomir Ilić, 25 years old.
KRSTIĆ, three houses. Their ancestors came from Raiža to the neighboring village of Drenovčić around 1860, from where they moved to Cucaje (a hamlet of Grebnik near Klina) in 1910, and in 1913 they came to Biča. Slava St. Aranđeo, mala slava Gospodjindan. Informant: Petar Krstić (64 years old).
LAZIĆ, secondary surname of two Dončić houses. Informant: Lazar Dončić, 80 years old.

ŠMIGIĆ, three houses. They trace their origins to Morača. They moved from Morača to the village of Tučep near Istok around 1750, from there around 1900 they moved to Dranik near Klina, and from Drsnik to Bič thirteen years later.
