Not Answered Help with 3rd monitor please.

I just set up a simrig and my PC sees it when I am in the display options. The monitor just goes into time out after a few second. When I change the setting to duplicate or extend it just reverts back to the disconnect this display option, even after checking "keep changes". If I turn off my main display the 3rd monitor will turn on. Main and 3rd monitor I am using a DP cable and the 2nd I am using an HDMI cable. Tried changing the cable to different outputs on GPU still has the same problem. GPU is a 4080S with 3DP and 1 HDMI. At the moment I guess it's not a huge deal as I would turn off my main display anyways but, who knows, I may change it to a 3 monitor set up. The monitor is a 49" Samsung G9.

Not Answered The keyboard controls in Sonic Mania are messed up

I just bought Sonic Mania on my pc from Steam and the keyboard controlls aren't working normally. A and S makes Sonic jump and W and D don't do anything and he only moves with the arrows but upwards arrow and space don't do anything either. Is this normal? Also I can't seem to find or open options it's not on screen and Esc doesn't do anything either. I just played a whole round so I don't think this is because I'm in a tutorial. Does someone know why or if this is normal or not?

Not Answered I want to have dual pc/xbox setup

I recently got a gaming pc n i want to have a dual monitor setup use the pc to watch videos n whatnot when i play xbox. I already have a lg ultragear with steal series speakers for the Xbox probably gonna get another slightly smaller ultra gear for the pc but idk what to do for the speakers. Do i just sacrifice having sound for the Xbox n use the speakers on the pc monitor? do i get another set of speakers? Or could i get like a soundbar that could play the sound from both monitors?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I’ve always been a console n tv guy so the whole pc n multi monitor setup thing is a pretty new to me just tryna work out all the components i need for the complete setup so i can start working on the layout of it all ☺️

Not Answered Are these good specs for a gaming PC?

Looking for a gaming PC that does heavy lifting: live streaming, YouTube, Fortnite gaming, Roblox gaming and coding. I've researched a lot but would love to hear from gamer experts if this is a solid option for a teenager:
https://www.bestbuy.com/product/skytech-gaming-skytech-shadow4-amd-ryzen-7-7700-5070-32gb-6000-mhz-ddr5-ram-850w-gold-a3-psu-black/J3GW8HK3PQ/sku/10783121

If you have a better option, feel free to link it. I think we're leaning towards PCs that are 32GGB RAMs and 1TB min for storage.

Not Answered Has anyone here successfully retrained themselves after years of using an unusual WASD hand position?

My friend learned to play WASD games with his thumb on the S key, so anytime he wants to jump it requires a big move, and needless to say he’s not as good as he could be.

He is not a spring chicken, and while he makes up excuses like, “My hand doesn’t stretch that way,” he has long, slender fingers and is very dexterous in other ways. I think it’s just years of shitty muscle memory.

Any advice as to how I could get him to rip the Band-Aid off and practice doing it the right way? He might suck a lot more for a little while after switching, but a few hours of practice, spread out over at least a couple of weeks, would get him over the hump.

Has anyone here successfully retrained themselves after years of using an unusual WASD hand position? I’d like to be able to point him to some anecdotes for encouragement.

Not Answered Any suggestions? Assassins creed Black Flag

I’ve been trying to play assassin creed black flag , but it seems every time I try to progress through a mission whether it’s the next step or cutscene the game crashes , npc to into polygons , I can still freely run around but no dialogue continuation or nothing , been pretty unplayable , the only “work around” is pausing it n waiting for the game to catch up

Not Answered Playing multiple games at the same time?!

Hey gang!

So who else deals with this issue or is it just me?

I like to have multiple games on the go at once, I tried focusing on one game at a time but find I get bored of said game or burnout so I like to bounce around however, the problem with that is when I go back to one I haven’t played in awhile I feel lost, can’t remember the story or what’s going on, the controls and how to play are completely forgotten and I feel like I have to start over. I know this is such a silly cycle but I keep doing it and don’t know why or how to stop!

Anyone else on the same page as me or am I just that weird?! lol

Not Answered My mouse feels smoother without a mousepad?

I have a Glorious Model D glossy that I bought a couple years ago for Minecraft, now I’m playing valorant but the mouse seems to get caught sometimes on some areas of the mousepad. It’s something with the sensor I think. However when I used the mouse without a mousepad it worked just fine, no jumps no getting stuck. Can I fix it?
