I’m from the U.S. and never really followed soccer (I'll call it football around here from now on) closely growing up. I’d watch the World Cup here and there, but that was it.

This last one got me though. I ended up watching a ton of games and got way more into it than I expected. Now I actually want to follow a club regularly.

Kind of random, but when I was a kid, I went to London and did a tour of Arsenal’s stadium. I didn’t know much at the time, but I remember thinking it was awesome. That memory’s been stuck in my head, so I’m leaning toward Arsenal as my team.

So yeah…before I fully dive in:

What’s it like being an Arsenal fan these days, especially after finally winning the Premier League again?

A few things I’m curious about:

• What’s the vibe around the club right now
• Who are the main players I should know
• Who do we hate (very important for an American like me)
• How painful is this going to be long term (I already suffer enough as a Minnesota sports fan)

I appreciate any insight! I’m trying to get into this for real this time and actually learn the club, not just pick a team because they’re successful.

I’ve seen a lot of people say Berta has credit in the bank because of the great window we had last summer which won us the league. I’m not sure I agree.

The signings provided good depth which was something we desperately needed but considering the money spent, I expected them to improve our starting 11 to a greater extent. None of them started the CL final and we still lacked quality in attack.

We spent over 250m pounds (highest ever) and our biggest sale was Tavares for under 5m.

Madueke cost only 5-10m less than Cunha, Joao Pedro, and Mbeumo who are far better players for example. I think Berta still has a lot to prove.

Obviously they are because he is a top player. Romano is saying Chelsea are in the market for a big midfield signing and City apparently would be interested if Rodri goes to Madrid.

I hope Berta makes a move on this asap because if we lose out on Bruno to our rivals yet again I think things will get really dark for him.
