A little history
Aggrix from what I know is connected to or an alt of Hyena1 (AJ and AJC player in the early days of the game that would go after children)
He is also controversial for the approved art he has. Especially on AJC with depictions of fire weapons.

Gladly they have long ago left and have been banned by Aj

The reason I bought these is to recycle them, because a person like that doesn’t not deserve to have their art in a game full of children even if the art has nothing against the AJ rules

I am sure if AJ could they would black out aggrix’s masterpieces, but they cannot do anything about old art.

If you have art by aggrix or hyena1 I strongly advice to recycle it. If you feel bad, like it’s a part of AJ history for you, just screenshot it and then recycle it.

before I knew anything about this guy I was a big fan of his giant masterblocks together with another artist. I was very inspired to build my own giant ones. I felt so horrible learning who aggrix was, but I will still keep building, because I want to fill aj with fun and positive art. My dream is to have a shop full of giant cool masterblocks and other art everyone loves.

may or may not be an unpopular opinion but im bored and felt like sharing my two cents on gifting in aj just bc why not.🦩

g4gs and the expectations people have for gifts are kinda weird to me ngl. people are so focused on filling up their gift boxes and getting good items in return that it literally is not even gift giving.

gifts should be just that. a gift. not an expectation for someone to give you something of similar value, thats just trading with extra steps 🥸

like when i join g4gs, yeah it would be cool to get a good item or something i really want but at the same time i join them for the fun of gifting and maybe making someone happy, its fun seeing what people gift me back even if its not as good an item, im not worried that theyre gonna give me a fossil or primary cc because so what if they do? its still fun to see full picnics and have the mystery of what could be inside. (i will say however: better off players/ rich jammers who join g4gs and gift literal junk are just jerks, but at the same time you cant place the expectation of an expensive item on them just bc of that).

its totally valid to feel disappointment or frustration when youve given people really nice gifts and most if not all of your gifts are junk or things you dont even like (ive been there 😔) but at the same time, if you wanted and mostly only care to get equal value items for gifts you gave, you should just be trading, not gifting.

i think the best mentality for gifting in aj is that youre gifting. dont have expectations for people owing you, gift them because you wanna gift them.

This guy went easy on me! I forgot to take a picture of what he looked like before but he was very clashy and only 800 sapphires! He came with the ruff but also a mask. I wished the mask off in 2 coins, got some good colors in just 1-2 coins each, got the lashes off after a few coins, and wished 3 tails to 7 in 1 coin! So now he’s a triple trait!

I know I'm late to the party but I noticed a lot of posts about people getting garbage in their picnics so I wanted to do a final round to maybe help out!

I'm admittedly not very rich but I have a lot of party items and some member stuff on hand that I'll mainly be gifting!

These was most of the gifts I opened yesterday, this truly upsets me bc of the simple fact I spent over 60k on everyone making sure everyone that gifted me "from my wishlist" got something off of theirs. I tried my best to make sure everyone got something they wanted and this was what i got.... I am not looking to be gifted I just needed to talk about this.. bc this isnt okay... It just actually makes me sad and mad at the same time.

Some people got really cool gifts, myself included. (Shoutout to Beasty; while I wasn’t personally gifted by them, I know they made a LOT of people’s days.)

That being said, it really does appear the majority of Jammers got fodder items like Chests, Crystals, and store items- even from wealthy Jammers.

I think AJHQ is pumping out too many intractable activities too quickly without thinking about the consequences. Last year, with the cat update, it was a quality-of-life alteration regarding the color wheel. This year it was Wish Refining Coins, and I believe that’s where it should’ve ended for the year.

Gifting Picnics especially are too over-the-top. We have Gifting Trees for the holidays and Friendship Mailboxes for Valentine’s Day. Both of those make sense. With the Gifting Picnics it really just seemed like they were desperate to throw more new things into the rotation to not lose players over the summer (when it is often slow), even though they have plenty of a player count as-is. Kitsunes releasing and WRCs re-releasing was enough for this time period. We don’t need a new thing every week-month.

While there are disappointed posts every time a new gifting system rotates back into the game, there were notably more with Gifting Picnics than any other gifting event, and I fully believe it’s because AJHQ is shoving too much into rotation too quickly. I fully believe we do not need 3 gifting events per year. The winter holidays & Valentine’s Day are both holidays, so it makes sense to insure quality when Jammers are gifting one another. I’m honestly not too surprised at how much of a letdown Gifting Picnics were, especially considering some Jammers are still recovering finances spent to gift over the winter. This is of course no excuse to gift garbage, but the overall turnout just doesn’t surprise me and represents a larger issue that is all the rapid changes AJ is firing at us far too quickly in attempts to keep the game “fresh”. If something isn’t broken, don’t fix it.

Especially on bidding posts, half the time people won’t list a starting bid or say things like “looking for an offer I’m happy with”. What is a good offer to you? Do you worth that item at 5k or 50k? It’s different if you don’t know what you worth your item at so you’re looking for inquiries, but if you sound like you sort of know what you want but don’t actually say it, I’m offering 5 sapphires. Normalize actually being specific instead of waiting for someone to ask what you worth the item at.

not exactly what i was hoping for but could’ve been so much worse!

I decided to use the pet house AJ Gifts you when you get the gifting picnic blanket. I’m doing the outside first, then I’m going to put a portal inside the house. Making it look like once you walk inside it, you actually enter my pets home! Im so excited for it and I just hope it turns out well! Please leave any suggestions you may have for the den or my pets house!

Here’s what happened:
I made a mastertrack of the first minute of ‘Its Been So Long’ by the Living Tombstones today and sold the early product which I had accidentally published before it was ready (had some mistakes, missing instruments, etc) for just 20 Saps. When I went back to my den after it sold, I saw that two people had gone to buy it and the second one who missed out, username gwenten1055, said “no fair I wanted it” I explained I would be publishing the completed mastertrack later and that one was cheap because it had lots of mistakes and I just wanted to get some of the saps back. They ended up befriending me and then eventually tricking me into discounting the finished track for them, which worked because I felt bad on them missing out on the previous discounted track, so they paid 35 saps for it. I also had a second one in my shop set to 60 saps (before I decided on selling them for 80) and she bought that one as well. At the time i was grateful because I thought she was going to share it with a friend or play it in her own den, and I was excited she liked it enough to buy two. It turns out she bought it to sell in her own shop for 700 sapphires!?!? Almost a 10x mark up from my current price and a 20x markup from what she originally paid!

I feel like you should not be allowed to sell someone else’s mastertrack without their permission, because my partner and I spent days translating the song onto animal jam (which was very difficult with the limited tools in the game) and when I went to share that with others, I was met with being taken advantage of so that they could make a profit despite me and my partner being the ones who spent days making it (they don’t play the game but love music stuff so we’re happy to help me, but they’re not happy with this outcome either).

This feels so disheartening and now I don’t really want to sell my mastertrack because what if more people do this, I know keeping mine up at a lower price will devalue scammer’s products, but they aren’t on the expo so how can anyone know it’s cheaper elsewhere? I’ve already had a second person ask to lower the price to which I originally said yes, but they never bought it and disappeared despite being in my den when it was lowered it a price we agreed on, and even opened the shop after. So after this upcharge incident I don’t think I will lower the price for anyone unfortunately.

Also a short update since having to re-upload this to add the screenshots, I asked in game if anyone knew what to do after this happened, and someone ended up buying it back for me, which was kind of them to do but now unfortunately the scammer has profited 700 saps and I am still down. It sucks so bad that this happened why can’t people just be respectful in games instead of doing things like this :(

It took me so many gems (34,500) to save up and complete it, and I am so proud of it. My next project is the rose garden!

I thought I was going somewhere but waking up to this was kinda alarming 😭

I just laughed, I wasn't even grinding for Alpha Chests or anything, I just started clicking shovels moderately more often in hopes of finding Sapphire potions.

I owe a lot to Alpha Chests. I exploited them to death in late 2023 during the Alpha Chest Gold Rush, smartest thing I ever did. Somebody's gotta remember that time.
