Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.
The Problem of Political Authority by Michael Huemer
Machinery of Freedom by David Friedman
Price Theory by David Friedman
Any other mainstream econ textbooks as far into the subject as you can handle with as much of the math as you can handle; but I do recommend starting with Modern Principles of Economics by Alex Tabbarok and Tyler Cowan.
The Calculus of Consent by James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock
Any other mainstream political economy texts or works, but I recommend Governing the Commons by Elinor Ostrom, and though not a book, Mike Munger's intro to political economy course available on YouTube.
Rothbard's Man, Economy, and State.
Bryan Caplan's Open Borders: the Science and Ethics of Immigration

4 months ago he said we won the pointless war, and now wants $67 billion more to keep going
I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that many people are making huge amounts of money off this war, including Trump's Sons.

Reddit Esquerdista.

2008 crisis
What do you think about neokeynesian economists saying that 2008 crisis was a failure of free market capitalism?
Please, give me the most technical answers possible, especially if you studied economics

Do you consider sex work to be at least a potentially honorable profession?
Do you think there’s anything inherently ignoble in commodifying your body? Like if you’re not doing it to feed a drug addiction but because you consciously want to earn your living through prostitution, do you regard that as an upstanding career? Just curious to hear people’s opinions on the matter.

Has Anyone Considered Investing In/Transforming a Remote/Tiny/Abandoned Town?
I believe we've all seen the ads for communes that require $800 a month for rent, 20 hours a week of property work, community meal obligations, and social requirements.
And I believe we've all considered, a laissez community with far less costs and obligations (the dollar amount on some of those ads are inexplicable).
Lastly, I believe we've all seen darkly charming pictures of abandoned towns and structures and dreamed of living there. A place where HOAs wouldn't belong.
Has anyone considered forming their own form of Galts Gulch in one of America's many hidden paradises?
I think it'd be easiest to transform a dilipidated town that already has a fire department, post office, etc.
You'd need jobs of course, even aside what remote workers could help with in stimulating local restaurants and retailers, etc. Many towns of course go under from simply having that one manufacturer leave, so ideally it wouldn't just be one. But if one wanted to keep it remote then there might be...
Anyway. Any experiences or useful information for those in the audience who may be interested?
