My wife and I were joking about options. I’d take the bounce house, a gallon of water, a phone and a battery pack, and a rotisserie chicken. I think I could make it like 36 hours until I got bored.

I've had to endure so much content of the ladies weeping and complaining about their emotions while this guy Trent has been building a kick ass smoker and he's half way through a cool looking shelter.

I absolutely love seeing women survivalist on previous episodes of Alone, but so far it's just been long scenes of anguish and mood swings.

Episode 2 ended with a long ass scene of a lady pulling a muscle in her hip and crying over it, Episode 3 continued with the same bollocks.

Perhaps the early content has to be this way, but it seems such a shame to not get to see the successful contestants early journeys, especially when it's cool stuff like building shelters and smoking meat.

Who are the top contestants that did not take bow and arrows as one of their 10 items? Especially interested in the seasons AFTER Jordo got the moose in S6. William of course immediately comes to mind. Who else?

How many examples are there of people who took no ferro rod and did perfectly fine.

It's been awhile since I've seen the early seasons but it seemed like Randy burned up his ferro rod but continued for awhile no problem.

But who has strategically not had one and done fine? Anyone?

My name is Drew Underwood, and I'm a filmmaker who just completed my second short film, "Survive" which is a found-footage horror comedy parody of Alone.

She then says she wants to go get a beaver and has one in her within bow range to make a kill and she lets it go?

These are crucial mistakes that cannot be happening when you’re trying to survive in the wilderness? Very difficult to watch her and her survival tactics

Far out, contestants that catch a fish, then proceed to fart-arse around holding it and celebrating and whoop-de-whooing, only for it to flip flop out of their hands or off the hook, and disappear back into the water🤦🏽‍♀️ OMG pleeaaaase just make sure it’s D.E.D. first and then start celebrating. Does my head in!
I get they’re excited but shit, it’s so hard to watch!

I'm on season 6, about half way through. I'm starting to get annoyed by the repetitive gross stuff, every episode seems to be ohh here's squirrel intestines, there's a skinned rabbit head, fish eggs/semen. Then cut to them puking their guts out 4 hours later, and not like ope gotta be sick, no like 5 minutes of them gagging and dry heaving. I'm not specifically bothered by either butchering animals or bodily functions, but come on you can't tell me we need repetitive dissection and hurling in every dang episode, I'm sure the editing room floor has a bunch of more intriguing footage than that. It seems the further I get into the seasons the more time is spent on these two topics. I'd much rather see ppl building things or hunting or what they did to kill time.

Sorry rant over, just tell me if it gets better. 😉

Edit: I'm going to stick with it, sounds like this and the next couple seasons are awesome! I can't believe how fast this blew up, I probably won't get to respond to everyone but thanks for all the comments! This sub is very active!! Not being able to stomach something and not wanting to see it on repeat are two vastly different things IMO, I'm glad to see some ppl agree and I'm not "Alone" 🤣

Every download I grab for the new episodes have some visually impaired voiceover on them. Was anyone else able to find a release without it?

I'm watching a few old seasons to catch up while waiting for the next episode of S13 to drop, and I'm realizing that a lot of issues come up when people can't use what's on the land.

I went down a proverbial rabbit hole a month or two ago on Comanche bow and arrow making, and became fascinated how they made them and hunted with them.

Seeing competitors miss shots and yeet one or more of their nine arrows into the woods and then just stand there, cursing themselves made me think: I wonder if they would have been better served by learning to make simple arrows out of local wood.

I mean, if you're shooting squirrels or small birds, you don't need a full aluminum shaft with a razor broadhead.

If you could just make a few more of them at night around a fire, and then go back to hunting the next day, it seems like it'd be better. Especially since so many of them already practice bushcraft skills that are actually probably more labor intensive than making a simple arrow for short range and small game.

Just wondering if they are allowed to have contact with their family during the boot camp before they get shipped out to the wilderness? When contestants tap in the first few days and sob about missing their families I know they've been away for between one and two weeks already, but have they been in touch with them during that pre-drop phase, or do they get their phones taken off them?

The gps locations are general available. Anyone with a subscription to sites like flightradar24 could, in theory, track historical helicopter movements around the area and possibly gain some insights to tap outs and such... just a thought...

Sorry, I can’t remember which episode or who caught the fish because i watched it last night and I’m at work now, but a contestant caught a 33-inch fish, and the caption said this fish has 650 calories and 125 g of protein. The protein figure seems more likely, but how is there only 650 calories on a fish that big?? That seems so inaccurate.
