Gave in and decided to start an army.

Also my first time trying some minor osl, not the best but I like it.

Recently got into warhammer40k, bought some custodes and painted my first figure. Do you have some painting advices i ve mostly asked chatgpt and gemini😄
Here are some figures, one with vexilla is my first painted ever. What do you think, what can i improve? Black one is test subject 😄

This is the biggest conversion I have ever tried, and it was my first time using milliput.

I turned out just great IMO, even though I could clearly improve some parts (the work with the miliput, the legs being not attached to anything,…).

The conversion is a Venatari Custodes on the Inquisitor Kroyle mount. I did use the side plates of Vertus Preator in addition but that’s it.

Can’t wait to paint it !

I finished painting my Telemon ready for an event on the weekend. Converted from a saturnine with Telemon components.

Just trying to build this list since points update and detachment. Don’t know which enhacement put on Characters. Double dread i think is awesome just to see that beasts on the field 😁

My buddy and I were playing some casual strike point games and ran into a question.

I set up my guards with one vexilla model in the unit. Some of the models were set up on a dense terrain feature, not all. But they were definitely behind the dense terrain.

My buddy was the first to act in turn one and said he was able to shoot my unit because he could see the Vexilla banner flag above the terrain feature. I always thought that if I was at least behind dense terrain that my model is technically “hidden” since I did not shoot or move and was also outside of my opponent’s detection range.

Am I wrong in thinking that he should not have been able to shoot me? He says that if his unit can see any part of my model no matter the range, he can shoot me. Would love to hear your thoughts on it. TYIA!

Been working on a small force of shadowkeepers and almost done woth my first test model as well as a shield captain where I decided to try pushing myself doing a limited palette and nmm for the first time.

I won't be doing a limited palette or nmm across the force, but with how the results are so far i may do something similar on other characters.

I got some modells from my family and I made my army from the available modells.

Is this a viable.list or should I buy some additional box for playing? Our LGC is a bit competitive.

I'm curious about the 30K models and how they translate to 40K. From what I can tell there are two different guard kits. Are these kits fielded in 40K as Guard or are they used for Wardens also? Is there not a kit that correlates to wardens for 40k?

I'm considering Custodes for my next army and I really like the look of the 30K models compared to 40K (slightly taller, less chunky) and might try to make a force using exclusively 30K models. Would it be possible to do so?

It's seeming more plausible with new plastic kits coming out, and how we've seen there will be new terminators as well. I'm just not sure HOW plausible and how well the kits translate over.
