Discussion They are saying the Z Fold 8 will be $0 with eligible device trade in at AT&T. I wonder what devices will be considered eligible.

Billing How to get out of my office@hand contract

TLDR: how can I find an ATT business manager in person in the USA to talk with directly and shut down my account?

I’m at a total loss and don’t know where to turn. I tried using AT&T business office@hand phones for my office building, and it’s been a total nightmare. Tech support issues and all, it just isn’t the right fit for us. I switched back to Comcast and a local VOIP company, and now I’m tryin to get out of my contract. Every time I call the billing and account support phone numbers that are on my statement, I keep getting rerouted and stonewalled. I don’t use the service anymore and our budget can’t afford it. I’m so fed up with this company that I’ll never use ATT again.

Has anyone else been having connectivity issues? WiFi going in and out? Frequent outages?

I’m in west Texas if that helps.

Internet Internet air connection problem

For some reason, around 3 pm ish yesterday, my device just stopped working. It refused to connect to the internet for the rest of the day; the power LED would be on red while the top 2 bars were blinking amber. I've tried resetting it multiple times, I've tried hard resetting, and I made sure that I restarted the broadband connection. It said that there weren't any outages in my area. I recently got this last week, and it has been working fine so far till today. I'm not really a tech person; any help would be appreciated.

Wireless Understanding the difference between blocking spam/fraud calls in the AT&T app vs ActiveArmor app?

Hi all,

Hoping someone with a lot more knowledge than I can help me figure this out. I am finally setting up ActiveArmor in hopes of (maybe) blocking some of the many, many spam calls I get everyday.

I have noticed that there seems to be two ways/mechanisms of blocking spam/fraud calls and activating filtering. One in the AT&T app under Controls>Security and then toggling Fraud/Spam allow/voicemail/block there, and the other being in the ActiveArmor app.

My question is, given that you can set either/all of these and none of them seem to have a bearing on the other, which of these takes precedence and which is the correct way to set it up? Are they the same thing just with a different interface, or are they different levels of blocking? I.e. app vs network?

I am relatively tech savvy but am perplexed as to why these two options to do supposedly the same thing exist. Apologies if this has been asked before, a Google/Reddit search didn't yield a definitive answer.

Thanks!

Other Trade in boxes?

So we recently switched from T-Mobile, activated in 7/13. I got an email saying our trade in boxes would arrive separately. Today is business day number 7 and I still have not gotten a shipping notification of our trade in boxes. Now I know I technically have until the 12th to return our devices. Should I continue waiting? Or is it okay to reach out? I'm not trying to be an annoying customer this early on 😅.

Wireless iPhone on AT&T Getting Delayed Notifications

My iPhone 16 on iOS 18.7.8 using AT&T just recently suddenly started getting very delayed notifications from all of my apps. If someone were to send me a text for example, the notification sometimes wouldn't appear on my phone until several minutes later or it wouldn't show up at all. If the notifications do eventually pop up, the time stamp would say something like "7m ago" instead of "now." The texts also wont even show up if I open the text chats until several minutes after they've been sent. This happens on both WiFi and cellular and also happens when the phone is off and when I'm actively using it. This is not happening all the time, but every day the last week plus for a few hours this happens.

I've tried restarting my phone several times as well as playing around with every setting I can think of to try and fix it to no avail.

I figured at first this was a bug on Apples part, but after doing some research, I noticed a lot of people with this same issue in the past are AT&T customers and have been able to fix the problem by switching providers entirely. This makes me think that this problem is at least partially on AT&T's part rather than an iOS bug through and through. I'll also note that while I am aware that I'm not on the newest iOS, others have reported the same problem on the newest iOS as well.

I would like to avoid going through the pain of switching providers, so I'm coming on here to see if others are experiencing anything similar and to gain any insight as to whats causing this and possible ways to fix it.

Wireless Voice Messages from entire week only arrive on Saturday!

As the title says. Last Sat I woke up and checked my Galaxy S20 5G Ultra phone , it said I have voicemails. Checked voicemails - 15 new ones. They were all from various days earlier in the week. They hadn't showed up before! The only other odd symptom is that only the phone number was read, not the name, from voice messages from friends.

This has happened only for the last 2 weeks.

What's this all about?

Other How to block numbers

I'm a caregiver and the woman I care for has been getting phonecalls all night. Literally every few seconds after hanging up.

Its a landline phone/home phone, not sure what to call it. It shows up as an unknown caller with no number to be seen. The man on the other end sounds like he's saying inappropriate things.

I want to block this number, but the website isn't detailed in the steps to do so. It just says *60, do I hang up first? Pick up then do it? I just want this number blocked so my client can get some sleep.

Just give me the steps, she's 89 and I don't want her worrying about buying a new phone, changing her number, or upgrading her plan. Thank you for any advice you can give.

Other Any experience in selling broken iPhone for credit?

I have a broken 16 iPhone PM that is shattered and won’t turn on. If the any condition trade in returns, it would most likely be worth the top trade in value. It has since been paid off and iCloud lock removed.

I am planning to switch to a different provider come September, has anyone had experience selling a broken iPhone online that someone could use for AT&T trade in credit? If so how much did you charge?

Other AT&T Phone Advanced AP-A question

A bridge across a nearby river is being replaced and three weeks ago someone involved in that cut AT&T's cable there, effecting copper line over a fairly wide area. The technician that came out today said it was still unresolved and won't be for a long time.

I'm not a cell phone user so that's not an option. (I don't make many calls at all, as you might imagine, but do have a doctor and a dentist that need to reach me. I have a t-mobile device for internet.) I'm being pushed toward the AP-A system. I doubt I'd hook it into the house wiring, so my question is: can I daisy-chain devices on the single jack on the ATT device I'd be using (as I did on my copper wire connection)?

Any other issues you can think of that I might need to be aware of?

Thank you.

Other No service at my house

I've only ever had at&t. For the last few years, I have had zero service at my house. I would think it is because of my house kinda being surrounded by trees, but my father has always had great service and we are on the same plan. It makes it impossible for me to call, text, or do anything when our wifi is out (which is frequently).

Is there something I need to ask At&t specifically or am I just doing something wrong?

Wireless Unlocking phone on Next up ANYTIME

Hi folks,

Considering getting the Fold 8 Ultra, but I might need to unlock the phone at some point during the year.

I generally upgrade my phone via Samsung each year, but I'm considering the Next Up Anytime option. If I pay to unlock the device (I know it's a chunk of money), what happens when I trade it in after 12 months?

I have tried different browsers, different cards, I waited days, etc... I want to avoid going to a store because it says there is a $15 fee for in store activation. I am trying to buy the 12 month unlimited wireless prepaid plan. Does anyone know how to fix this??
