Hes so so on tom king as a writer but I really liked this. I liked the movie but its a bummer it doesn't adapt a ton from this aside from the premise.

It would be interesting to see his reactions to lanterns given he didnt think the 2011 was that bad. Neither did Ryan Reynolds when we watched in 2021.

Do you think Linkara will ever cover Watchmen?

Do you think Linkara will ever review Watchmen? I mean, the comic has way too much symbolism in the art, the story is too long (there's not much stuff you can skip), and he would even have to cover the Under the Hood backups. Plus, I get the feeling he would REALLY dislike the stuff involving the Comedian. This likely means no review of Doomsday Clock either (though that one IS easier to review).

Does anyone know a piece of music from the end of the Blue Beetle Retrospective (All In One)?

In the original version of the video, the song is "Total Eclipse of the Heart", and a little snippet of it is heard before Linkara starts talking again.

But in the All-in-One version, there's this instrumental piece that sounds like it came from the OST for an animated movie. I've been trying to figure out what it is...which is especially difficult because the music isn't named in the description or the credits.

Link to the point in the video is here

I wonder what Linkara opinion is on Tom McFarlane’s answer on what’s important in a comic art or story?

Like it should be noted that Todd McFarlane had a “box match” with Peter David

And then later, some beef with Neil Gaiman

It’s almost interesting that in a way he has outlived all of his you know, opponents or contractors

Sadly, Peter David died in 2025 and Neil Gaiman was revealed to be a sex pest, and he has been dropped by a lot of his publishers.

But Todd is still the head of image comics which recently they’ve been doing pretty well.

Obviously, there are cases where you could have something that is illustrated like Michelangelo and written like it was by Shakespeare.

But if we’re talking like the modern comics right now.

There are cases where the art sometimes looks different, like even with a different artist behind it

It would often follow the same in-house designs

Obviously, I’m going very broad and excluding examples where the art is not in house

I don’t know if this is the case of a comic he won’t review. But I have a gut feeling he will cover Lex Luther president storyline.

Like I remember, during the first term of Donald Trump, I saw a comic book compiling basically the storyline of Lex Luther becoming president, and it was modeled after the Trump book “the art of the deal”

Like it had oil fancy painting of him, his bald head sitting.

That was very bold of them to do that.

Of course that didn’t stop.

you know Frank Miller from including Trump in his dark Knight return story, the golden child with a resurrected Joker with a Trump puppet, and it turns out all of this discourse and protesting and rallies is caused by darkside

(yeah Frank Miller went back to doing political elements in his stories)

I don’t think he’ll cover it at best when he covers DC comics around this time. We’ll get the occasional “Anton York” joke.

Which I don’t mind
Like his name just gives us a small migraine and headache

That’s why some people and I use the abbreviation of DJ T

What would you like Linkara to review?

For myself, I'd be interested to see a review of the Ghost Rider movie I just wanted to see how many One More Day jokes he can make.

With the boys TV show recently ended. I definitely like for Link to at least tackle the first issue of the boys Comics and really discuss.why he hates these deconstructions?(or at least very poor deconstruction of superheroes)

A lot of people have brought up recently that ironically for a series that has made fun of basically the MCU and comic book book media in the last 5 to 10 years.

It is almost become what it try to make fun of

I mean we’re getting a prequel series with Vpught rising, and possibly a spinoff sequel with boys: Mexico.

And I almost find this really really ironic.

Considering in the last three years, we’ve been seeing a rise of superhero films after the “superhero fatigue”

We saw James Gunn rejuvenate Superman, and starting a new cinematic universe.

The MCU is get it back in on its feed with fantastic for first steps and the upcoming doomsday films

(but obviously that has a can of worms of problems)

I’m just saying, superhero media is kind of coming back and even invincible is not really superhero deconstruction anymore instead it’s more like a sci-fi series about alien conquerors and a child of one of them were fighting against his father’s people.

And even the father who is openly admitted to commit genocide

Is trying to reconcile on what he did, but still, no one will forgive him.

I’m just saying

I feel like we’re entering a new age of superhero media

And how the boys ended definitely reflected that

(and that’s just me avoiding the modern day politics and them making Homelander a Trump analog)

You know I always wondered. Is it true that comic publishers usually don’t care if you change a lesser known character that hasn’t been used in decades

Linkara may have remembered how extreme the 90s were but what about the other extreme that came out the next decade?

Considering the boys TV show is ending soon. And Cody Franklin got a lot of things wrong in his video about the Boys. I definitely think it’s time for Linkara to at least read the first issue.

It’s almost old-fashioned when you hear someone use the word “mimetic” (really weird that a scene of a father beating his son and telling him everyone he knows and loves will die. And ask him why is he keep fighting? Has become a meme)
