I’m planning to try volunteering for acl this year, any clue when they usually open applications or where I would look specifically? I tried looking at websites but no luck or confused where to specifically apply ;(

Hi! Wanting to fly in from Scotland to America for the first time and split between seeing the weekend 1 show or weekend 2, i'm assuming if they have no W1 or W2 they are available for both weeks? My plan is that I would stay till Thursday the 8th so i've had a week in Austin.

That would mean i get to try out shooting guns, trying authentic texas bbq and buying a cowboy hat. I'll know by end of August if i can make in it october. Hopefully tickets are still up for sale and not sold out 🤞

Now i've never been to America and haven't been to a proper proper festival before. I've seen these tips from others on this sub to bring:

-hydration packs and make sure there isn't too many zippers
-bring tp and other sanitary products
-bandana for dust
-sunglasses.

If you can recommend anything else i should bring that's a lifesaver.

I'm thinking of getting a hotel room for the week that's maybe 2-3 miles out from the park and walking to the festival. But ideally i pay a preportion into an Airbnb for the 3 nights and i would get a hotel for the remaining 4 as that would mean, i know some people there.

I'm 22M but grew up on pop - Artists i'm looking forward too are Charli XCXX, 21 pilots, Lorde, LP, Claire Rosinkranz, Leon Thomas, Chainsmokers, lola young to name a few.

If you're a group looking for more people I don't mind paying for an airbnb just hmu.

- Cost of flights, hotels, activities, food alcohol will be a lot, so hesatent to pay £2k to £3k for the holiday, also need to save. Friend of mine travels a lot so i'm going to speak to them and see if there's cheap flights and hotels to lower costs. Any ideas let me know!

Hey everyone! We’re headed back to ACL week 1 after SEVERAL years away and my husband’s birthday is Oct. 6th. I’d love to plan some kind of birthday surprise for him during ACL since we won’t have much time before or after the fest to do much. Does anyone have any fun suggestions?We splurged on VIP tix so a surprise upgrade won’t be necessary.

Just sharing an observation. I try to keep up with any lineup changes on the official lineup poster on the ACL website, especially for smaller artists, as ACL doesn't usually announce their removal.

It appears that Kingfishr (a weekend 2 band) has been removed. Previously were on the lineup on Friday, fourth line, but I don't see them on the lineup at all anymore. (And a related change, CMAT moved from the first name listed on the fifth line on Friday to the last name listed on the fourth line.)

I’m going to my first ACL this year and I’m so excited. It’s my first festival ever and I’m doing a lot of research. I have some questions.. -Can I put a lot of my belongings into my boots and pockets and bring a clear tote bag folded up also in my boot or pocket to skip the bag line then empty everything into my clear tote bag? -Are hydration backpacks worth it? Do I have to get into bag line for a hydration backpack? (Sorry if that’s a dumb question) -What are things I NEED to know?

So this is going to be my first ACL fest ever after the 3 years that I've lived in Austin. I'm really excited because I haven't been to a music fest since Bonaroo in 2018. For anyone who has attended ACL before, when do they release the schedule with the times. I imagine the closer it gets to September they'll start releasing the times when they start shipping the wristbands. BTW I'm going Wk1. I'm curious because I usually work Fridays and Saturdays and I'm not sure if i should request those days off or leave early so I can pick and choose which artists I'd like to see. Thanks!

I’m f19, going with a group of currently about 7 people all 19-23. Currently it’s me and one more girl and the rest are guys. I’m comfortable with all the guys who are going, but I would prefer if we had some more female company around too.
