PSA Ewa Michalak ceasing custom orders for smaller band sizes Spoiler

I just got an email from the company letting me know. I was trying to order some bras in 65 HH. 65 is not even that small of a band size. Many bra companies stock a 30/65 band now.

I'm at a loss for what to do. I'm hoping I can still order 70 H bras and just get them tailored somewhere.

I'm also kicking myself for not making this order a few months ago when I first realized my 70 band was definitely not working for me.

I sent them an email asking why the change in policy and asking if anything can be done for my current order (I haven't paid yet, I was waiting for them to send me a PayPal link).

Please if anyone else who orders from them or has ever bought their bras is affected by this, please reach out to them to let them know.

Fuuuuck. I get so many migraines from having a too loose band. This honestly really really impacts me.

Fit Check Fit check + questions about wire widths Spoiler

First of all, a massive thank you to this sub for helping me find bras that I actually want to wear. I found this sub a few months ago after gaining some weight and no longer able to go braless. The calculator gave me 32D, and I was able to find a few bras that fit very well.

I lost some weight recently, and I’m noticing that I lost some volume up top. Most of my bras still seem to fit reasonably well, but the gaps are more visible with unlined bras.

b tempt’d fit underwire bra 32d: https://imgur.com/a/L3bmx22

b tempt’d ciao bella plunge 32d: https://imgur.com/a/gZgVEJq

aubade flawless love underwired triangle 32c: https://imgur.com/a/hnJYLtE I just received this one. because I need to raise my arms to take the pictures, the gaps are even more pronounced, and it prompted me to remeasure myself.

Here’re my current measurements:

loose underbust 75

snug underbust 74

tight underbust 72

Standing bust 84

leaning bust 86

lying bust 84

The calculator gave 30D/DD (and it says 32C/D might be more comfortable)

My boobs are pretty wide set with wide roots and some side boobs. I’ve found plunge styles to be the most flattering, because they give me a bit more projection without poking me at the gore or the armpits. I’ve also made full coverage and demi bras work by bending the underwires to make them wider (not the ones in the photo).

Now that my size has changed a bit, my question is, how will the smaller band size and cup volume affect the underwire widths? Is the gapping at the top enough to call for new bras?

Fit Check Tried Panache Envy and Freya Fascinate. Pics for fit check, both are too small. Spoiler

Loose: 30.5. Snug: 30. Tight: 28.5. Standing: 35. Leaning: 39. Lying: 37
Fairly pendulous, so lots of projection. 2 fingers between them when I lean, and the fullness is on the bottom, but my nipples almost point straight down when I lean, but they do tip up a bit.

I have no real bras that fit. I am tired of wearing crap, so I'm looking for ABTF. I had been wearing 34DD, but it's too small. I was going to size up to a 34DDD, but I came here, and the calculator told me different. I got the Panache Envy (pink) and Freya Fascinate (black) in 32F. The Freya seemed 2 sizes too small. The Panache almost fit, but was a little small on my larger side. I included pics of both when I've shoved myself in as much as possible and when I've jiggled and jumped a bit, as well as a top-down view. Help? Suggestions on what to try next?

Fit Check Fit check -trying sistersize from the calculator Spoiler

I made a post a few days ago regarding the size I got from the calculator.

I got the tip to try a sistersize 75H (34G UK) instead of 80G.

Got the new size today and I feel like it fits like a glove +at least in the band) but I'm not completely sure about the left cup, it could be a bit of the shape of the bra and not the size.

Recommendations? Need help choosing a style of bra to try Spoiler

Hello!

I’m a touch overwhelmed by all the information on this page and could do with a little help.

For a number of years now I’ve been wearing minimally padded, non-under wired bras (bralettes maybe).

Before that I wore 32A/B or 34A. They were cheap ones from new look/h&m mostly. They never fit me properly, there was always like gaping at the front between the bra and me and I just hated how they looked

I’ve had a look at the shape stuff but I can’t really figure it all out. I have quite large nipples and they stick out quite a long way (when not erect 😂) it makes my boobs look quite pointy. They’re also quite far apart, even if I shove them together they barely touch. Also my left boob appears bigger because I have extra cartilage on that side of my sternum. I’m almost certain they’re bottom heavy

These are my measurements:

Loose underbust: 31

Snug underbust: 30

Tight underbust: 29

Standing bust: 34.5

Leaning bust: 35

Lying bust: 33.5

the calculator suggested 30D/DD which seems quite large (I re-did the calculator once because my nipples stick out so much lol), but what i really want is some recommendations for where to start (I’m in the UK if that helps)

Thank you so much for anyone that can help!

Question Help fitting larger cup small band— is it worth searching for a bra in this size or do I just settle Spoiler

Have been stalking this sub for ages and every time I take the calculator test, I’m really disheartened by the results because I feel like there is genuinely no brand that sells this size. I’d like to experience the magic of having a bra fit perfectly as many of the people on the sub seem to have experienced, but I truly have not seen a bra in my calculator size that isn’t ugly or like $200 $80. What always has stopped me from posting here was the hesitation that if I go down this rabbit hole I will have to buy a bunch of bras online that I can’t even try in person and battle with international returns on the off chance that it might be the perfect fit, when I feel like my regular bras fit OK anyway?

I currently wear a VS 32D and haven’t really had huge comfort issues except for the cups being slightly small, after scooping and swooping (though the breast tissue that gets swooped in seems to settle back out after a few seconds anyway, so it seems like that’s not doing anything?)
The gore does not tack on any bra I have ever tried, but I only have about a finger of distance between my breasts, so I may just be very close set. Overall the VS bras I wear feel okay and I don’t have any significant gapping issues or fit issues other than that. Tried on the VS flex factor 32D and thought they were really comfy and fit well. However the calculator says that my correct size is a 28DDD, which would make my current size extremely off, contradicting how I feel about my usual bras comfort wise.

I went and tried an unlined wireless wacoal bra in a 30 band in an effort to getting closer to the recommended size by the calculator, and it was so uncomfortably tight there was no way I was getting it. So I’m a little confused by that.

TLDR trying to figure out whether it’s even worth trying to hunt for this dream perfect bra that fits if my current bra size is not causing me any discomfort and is way more accessible + comes in trendy styles. Any help would be appreciated!! As well as any bra recommendations!

EDIT: ideally US based bra recommendations with free returns… just got heartbroken looking up boux avenue, seeing they have cute styles in my size, and then finding out they’re international and don’t do free returns 😭

Elomi Charley, possible fake?? Spoiler

https://imgur.com/a/lujIqBg

I think the Elomi Charley bra might be a fake but maybe it’s just an updated design? I purchased an Elomi Charley bra in the tan/beige color and absolutely loved it. I have this group to thank for that. But then I bought a black one to add to my collection lol but it’s not the same as the other and I don’t know if anyone can help me figure this out? I’m gonna be so mad if it’s a fake but probably more made if they changed the design because it’s the one bra in the whole world that I haven’t hated. Please help!

ETA: It’s the Charley spacer bra

Recommendations? I have my bra size, but I can't seem to figure out what the best shape is for me! Spoiler

Upvotes

Hello all! I recently remeasured myself with the ABTF calculator, and I'm struggling to figure out what the best bra shape is for my breasts. They are long, like down to my belly button long, and relativdly wide. I need a bra shape with deep cups for sure, because none of the bras I have owned in recent times hold my entire breasts.

I was measured at a boutique almost a year ago, and even with the size they recommended, everything was off. Here are my current measurements that I'm pretty sure are a lot more accurate than what the boutique measured:

Measurements (in inches and UK sizing)

Loose Underbust: 39

Snug Underbust: 38

Tight Underbust: 36

Standing bust: 50

Leaning bust: 56

Lying bust: 54

Recommended size: 38K

Sister size: 36KK

The most recent bra I've tried is the Elomi Lucie in size 40K (I think this was before I measured? Or I measured and didn't check the band size). Band is a bit loose, and the cups were simultaneously not supporting my breasts, causing them to still sit against my chest, but also loose? There was a lot of empty space near the top of the cups. But I suspect some of that has to do with the wrong band size.

My back, shoulders, and posture have suffered a lot. Bras are also expensive, so I don't have a lot of wiggle room to try on a bunch at once. Finally caved in and made space for a bra in my monthly budget haha.

Hopefully this is enough detail! Thank you in advance!

Feeling Defeated Bras don’t fit right for BIG breasts. Issues with bra shop. Spoiler

I’m feeling so defeated and helpless when finding a bra that fits. You would think in this day and age there would be bras to fit everyone.
I have been going to this bra shop since they opened in my town 19 years ago. Prior to that I had been going to another specialty bra shop that’s about 35 minutes away that I have been going to since I was a teen. So I am not new to this. I have never ever been able to find a bra in a regular store like Victoria’s Secret, Macys, Lane Bryant, etc.
I went to this shop to get a new bra and nothing was fitting right. They suggested some different brands of bras and said we have special order them. I said OK so I have to pay for them upfront to have them special ordered so we started one at a time. And there were I think two bras that when they came in and I tried them on and they did not fit. I had to get a refund for them. Remember, they suggested these bras. They fit fine in the band, but there is spillage out the top. Then they had an event where a representative from a company was going to be there. We talked with them. She was going to send some samples for me to try. One of the bras they were going to send as a sample they did not send and that was one of the bras that I needed to try. She sent a few others those did not work. So we ended up ordering the one bra that we wanted in the size we thought would work. Got it brought it home wore it for half an hour extra spillage all over the front. I am measuring a 40 M/N in US sizing and they said that I am wide set.
So I called them and told them that I need to bring this one back. And I told them that I’m sad and I feel so defeated. The sales woman told me that if they have to order any bras for me, it will be final sale. So if I order bras from them, even though I don’t bring them home and they don’t fit they are still a final sale. FYI, the sales lady told me they are not like Amazon when they order from a company or I order from them they cannot return them back to the company. The store is stuck with the bra. She then said the only other option for a bra is to go wireless total full coverage. A very matronly type bra kinda like what Mrs. Trunchbull would wear.
I find the whole situation with ordering ridiculous. I’m sure if I ordered from the company directly I would be able to return them. But then that’s going to be a lot of work.
Do you have any suggestions?
I do not want to be in a full constrictive type of bra. The brands of bras that I was trying were by Sculptress and Elomi. I was really praying that the Sculptress one was the one! I’m thinking the fabric at the top of the breast is not structured enough. They are very lacy or mesh like. The other issue is if the wires are too high, they stick out. Help!

Question I need a perfect minimizer for 32H. Spoiler

I am currently wearing a bra that holds them up really well but it makes them pointy and stick out too much. I recently saw a picture of myself. I need a bra that will hold them up but at the same time, make them look 1 1/2 to 2 inches or even 3 inches smaller. I’m tired of ordering bras that are hit and miss. I hate them all over the chest too.

Any good recommendations?

Recommendations? Recommendation/Where to buy smaller band sizes? Spoiler

I need some help finding what may be kind of a niche size please.

Measurements:
Loose: 25.5”
Snug: 25”
Tight: 24.25”
Standing: 30”
Leaning: 32”
Lying: 31.5”
ABTF says 26E UK

Where can I find this size?! Or conversely is there a more readily available sister size that could work?

Question [Question] starting a GLP-1 and low income; is it even worth trying to figure this out yet? Spoiler

I know things will change in terms of size. I'm not sure how much change to expect in terms of shape. I don't want to waste a ton of time and money. My income is extremely limited. Can trying to narrow down now which bras work for my shape lead to any insight that will probably stay true as I lose weight, or should I just deal with poor-fitting bras for the next 6-12 months since it's been this long anyways?

Loose Underbust: 41 Snug Underbust: 40 Tight Underbust: 37 Standing Bust: 46.5 Leaning Bust: 51.5 Lying Bust: 48

My calculator size a few weeks ago said 40FF. I haven't re-taken measurements yet, but I've only lost about 8 lbs so far. I did take the loose and snug underbust measurements relatively loose for both, as I expected more pain once I started trying on due to some medical/inflammatory/GI things.

I'm 5'6.5", about 220lbs in those measurements. I'm hoping to get down to about 180lbs then re-evaluating weight goals.

I am currently wearing this bra in a 36H purely because this brand was inexpensive and easy to return/exchange a bunch quickly to get something that fit enough to wear at work without pain. I work a desk job and haven't worn real bras in years. This bra definitely isn't right for me - the gore is too wide, there is not enough immediate projection. My boobs have too much of a shelf shape in it.

I've liked this one slightly better but still trying to get my size. I've got a 36I on the way. The 38s all didn't fit, the 36H was better but too small in the cup. 36I is the largest cup they have in this band. I think the balconette shape is better for me. I think I need either a very narrow gore, or a plunge or balconette to keep the gore out of the way.

Fit Check [Fit check] 28DDD skarlett blue minx and 28E montelle chantilly. Cutting into armpits among other issues. Spoiler

Hi! New to this sub, trying to pinpoint my size, breast features, and bra needs. I posted this the other day but someone informed me I left my data on the photos, so I would prefer to send a link privately to a mod if possible.

Here are my measurements: Loose: 29.5 Snug: 28.5 Tight: 26 Standing: 32.5 Leaning: 34 Lying: 33

The calculator suggested a 28DD/DDD US.

I am full on bottom. I think I might be projected...? And I think I have short roots and possibly narrow based on the issue I'm having here, but would love any insight on this.

I am looking for a balconette or demi style bra so per the suggestion I got from this sub I started with the skarlett blue minx and the montelle flirt.

Montelle flirt 28E had a comfortable band, a little too loose on the loosest hook. Underwire was a bit uncomfortable against my ribs. Slightly uncomfortable under the armpit. I had to tighten the straps up to get the underwire in a good spot and to help with cup gaping, but that pushed the edge of the cup into my underarm area. Seems like the surface area of the cups is too wide and tall. Just overall seems too big even though it was the smaller of the two sizes suggested.

Skarlett blue minx 28DDD tighter band but not uncomfortable. Slightly uncomfortable underwire. Boobs fill cup completely. I initially tightened the straps significantly to try to get some lift to happen but the side of the cup was cutting into my under arm. Loosened the straps back up and it seems to fit better now. Wondering if this one is a good match for me.

In need of suggestions on where to go from here and what to look for in a bra as I continue my search. If my shape assessment is correct, I wonder if polish bras would be worth trying?

Recommendations? Lifting, Structured Bra Suggestions Pls Spoiler

I did the fit calculator. It says 38DDD or 38F. I have a lack of volume, so I need lift. I also don’t know if this exists, but I had my chest cracked years ago that it didn’t heal and a cervical fusion, so weight just on shoulders hurts. Are there lifting bras with thicker straps and a panel up the back ? Or maybe a lifting bra with thicker straps and a higher back ? I don’t want full coverage, ideally.

Help please !

Recommendations? [Recommendations] Shallow style that doesn't dig into front of armpits? 30C Spoiler

Hi everyone! This group helped me to realise that I am size 30C with a very Shallow shape (wide roots, fuller on bottom)...so I bought a 30C b.tempt'd Ciao Bella Balconette bra...and although the band and cups fit me much better than any bra I had every tried previously (no gaping!) the straps really dig into the skin on the front of my armpits.

I have noticed the same problem with most sports bras. It isnt a wire issue--it is the strap which feels like it is cutting/pressing into my skin at the front where the armpit connects to my chest, if that makes sense.

Most balconette styles have wide straps, close to the armpits, so I worry that any balconette I try would dig into the front of my armpits the same way...but I really need the bottom-focused cup shape, or else there will be major gapping at the top of the cup.

Most days I dont even bother with a bra, since I am self supporting. I would love to have an option for giving myself some flattering lift, though, while still being comfortable. So I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for a balconette-style cup that doesnt have such wide-set straps? Or strapless? (it would even be helpful a sports bra that doesnt crowd the armpits, since I need extra support when running)

Thank you!

Measurements:

Loose: 29.5" Snug: 29" Tight: 27" Standing Bust: 31.5" Leaning: 33" Lying down: 31.75"

(Calculator said 30C/D...I only bougt 30C...I'm pretty sure a D would have too much extra space in the cup, because the 30C balconette was bordering on almost gaping)

Need help finding 30H bandeaus/sports bras Spoiler

Upvotes

Hi! Just as the title says - I'm completely over convential bras as most give me shoulder pain, and sizing down the band either doesn't help enough or they're hard to put on (especially for sports bras) because while my rib cage is apparently on the smaller size, shoulders/hips are not lol. I'd love to find both bandeaus for daily wear and sports bras, ideally with more adjustable bands, like something I can cinch down after putting it on? Do these exist? I'm about 30 seconds from literally just sewing something.

Thank you!

Recommendations? [recommendations] looking for a bra that helps with cleavage Spoiler

hello! ive just used the calculator and its told me im actually a 32FF after thinking i was a 34DD!!! im looking for a bra to wear with low cut tops for going out, that help a lot with cleavage. i feel like my boobs are pretty wide set, and when i wear push up bras theres still a gap in the middle. im looking for a bra that really helps with pushing them together to get rid of that gap, preferably a push up or plunge. im not really looking for a sticky bra- i have one but when i put it on it doesnt push them together unless i put each one on the very outer sides of my boobs, so my nips end up still out. i also feel like when i wear those necklines, my nips tend to slip out :( that might be to do with wearing the wrong bra size? id really appreciate help finding a bra that really pushes them up and together without my nips slipping out, thank you :)

Fit Check [Fit Check] Chantelle Norah EU 75D / UK 34D - band too loose? Spoiler

Calculator recommended size 70F/G or 75E/F for comfort, but could only get this one in 75D with quick delivery (we're going on vacation soon).

It's too loose on the loosest hook, but feels amazing on the tightest or 2nd tightest. I love how soft the fabric is, i think i'm only gonna buy Chantelle from now on! Unless there's other brands that make bras that are just as soft. It's by far the comfiest wired bra i've tried and i think it fits quite well. The gore is maybe a bit wide but it's not poking me so i think it's fine? I'll post a link with pics in the comments.

I'm thinking of ordering it in 70E and maybe 70F as well, does it have a narrower gore in those sizes? Will the band fit well on the loosest hook if i need the tightest or 2nd tightest on the 75D? If it's not likely to fit better than the 75D, i'd prefer to just keep this one so i have a comfy one that works under all kinds of dresses and shirts for our vacation.

From the leaning over test i think i'm full on top, center full and narrow set. I've also tried this Freya Flirt in 70F and 70G, but even with the 70F i only filled the lower part of the cup and had a big gap on top. Not sure what that says about my shape? https://en.zalando.de/freya-underwired-bra-pink-frost-fr981v00h-j12.html

With this Chantelle Norah Chic Plunge in 70F i filled out the cups in the center but not on the side and the straps were way too wide and cut into my underarm tissue https://en.zalando.de/chantelle-norah-chic-plunge-bra-underwired-bra-soft-pink-ch981a09u-j11.html

Also open to other bra recommendations that might fit with my shape (as long as the fabric is very soft and comfy)

My measurements in cm:

Loose Underbust: 83

Snug Underbust: 80

Tight Underbust: 78

Standing Bust: 96

Leaning Bust: 98

Lying Bust: 94
