Ive been trying but its curved in every way possible and hard to measure

I've been using my printer a lot for the 6 months I've had it, but never really bothered to learn much CAD. I have mostly just messed with the shapes in bambu studio, and think it'd finally time to learn some cad. I've tried tinkercad and it seems too basic to devote time to learn fully. I mostly make functional prints, and enjoy open source software. (I might swap from Bambu studio to orcaslicer) Fusion 360 seems promising and I've given en it a shot but it seems like a ton of work so I want to consult with people that have 20x my experience before devoting my time to a single cad. (Bambu Labs a1)

How difficult would it be to adapt this pool attachment holder (for nets and brushes) and change the mount to attach it to a chain link fence like the pool pole chain link fence mount? Why? Okay so I only have 1 pole, but have 3-4 attachments, so one could be on the pole but the others I was thinking would be easy to have them mounted. I’ve never made anything before so wasn’t sure how difficult or possible this would be?

Been a mixed bag looking at printers that seem good on paper, only to look at all the reviews/youtube vids on it and find out it's a lemon. So I hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm going to be doing both hobby and automotive related printing. Mainly motorcycle parts. So I need something with a heat bed of 120°C and a heated chamber of 60°C at the bare minimum for engineering filaments. 350mm³ or greater build volume. Being able to print 2 materials on one print. Don't want to waste expensive filament on supports. Can handle TPU as well. Not a fan of Bambu so please don't bring them up, thanks.

Hey, so I have been having a new issue with my two A1-minis

They used to run perfectly fine (even with the 3d printed cable guides etc.) But since about one week almost every time at some point during the print, the filament just snaps back or something leading to the printer just not extruding and then leaving a half finished print.

The weird thing is, there are no slip marks on the filament when I pull it out, and the gear still has grip on it and can push it into the extruder when I extrude manually.

I'm really confused whats happening and how I fix this

Hey everyone :)

I am currently looking to buy my first 3D printer.
I've been looking around on "ricardo" (it's a site basically like ebay, but limited to Switzerland, which is where I'm from), and I've found some used 3D printers that I'd consider buying.
The options I've found are either the Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus and the Creality Ender-5 Plus.
Both come with accessories and are in good condition and still work (according to the sellers).

Prices: Neptune 3 for $150 and Ender-5 for $180.

Additional information:
- I want to make Clone Trooper Helmets and armor, hence the bigger printbed.
- I am a beginner.

Which of these 2 options is a better choice in my case?

I had an ender 3 pro for years and tricked it out, got it running wirelessly with a raspberry pi the whole nine yards. I gave it away when I moved because I had not used it in a min and as an excuse to buy a new one.

My budget is ~$800, but I am flexible. I live in the US. I loved tinkering with my ender 3 but I have kids now and have no time to spend all weekend dialing in settings and doing upgrades anymore. I use it primarily for modeling my projects and making parts. I have experience using the various softwares involved but my knowledge is still in the amateur category. I want to be able to control it from my computer.

I am between a midrange bambu labs or prusa

This purchase is partly like a childhood dream. I want to ask here what problems I might encounter using the printer, and whether there is anything I should know before buying. I would be grateful for advice for the future. I'm thinking about buying a Creality Ender-3 V3 KE

I can only house it in my bedroom?

I made a post at one point and I got a lot of mixed responses regarding which printer I should get. My general consensus was that I should either get a CC2 or the A2L from Bambu (since I like the cutting & plotting add-ons).

Problem is, I am a college student living in a small city apartment. We don't have much of a living space, so I can't put it in a common space (and would feel bad doing so even if I did). The only option is for me to put it in my room. I would get an air purifier, only run it with my door open, etc. but it's my understanding that that wouldn't really be enough. I've wanted to get into 3d printing for years, so thinking about how I'm gonna have to wait a few more years to get into it because of this limit is pretty sad. I'd love to be able to find a way to get into the hobby soon.

I'd love to know if you think it would be possible to do this, or if I should just pass up to printer for now. Also any other advice you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Are they pretty easy to learn to use? Any advice would be appreciated. Considering getting a p1s or a p2s from Bambu labs.

I finally decided I want to get into 3D printing after seeing all the useful things people make. id like to print small household items, desk accessories, and maybe some simple models etc. while I learn.

There are so many options that I'm worried about picking something that'll be difficult for a complete beginner. What first printer worked well for you? Thanks.

I recently ordered a PLA Pro filament from dream polymer, and this is the review after my first Print using this filament.

In shot, the Print quality is very poor. There are a lot of gaps and inconsistency in the final Print and the final output does not look anywhere close to output from bamboo labs filament(which came with my printer).

Does anyone have any idea as to what can be done to improve the Print quality with the same filament? I have already mailed dream polymers team will see how they respond.

Hi everyone, first time posting in this group. Im a mechanical engineering graduate looking to buy my first printer, with some experience on CAD and designing a CoreXY FDM for a uni project (though never actually used one)

My main goal is to have a side hustle, making useful stuff for local businesses and the end goal is taking larger orders with possibly more printers to come.

My first thought was building my own, as I realized (correct me if I'm wrong) that building your own may offer better qualities than a pre build with the same money, ever though it is not recommended for first time users, but given my studies, i was looking for a project. Looked at Voron firstly, but RatRig was a love at first sight. Started sourcing some parts myself, as I wanted to cut down some costs on screws, bars, etc (nothing electrical).

But in the last few days I realized that if my goal is to build a business, I should go for repeatability/longevity and not for something experimental that I may not even understand the capabilities.

What I ask of you, is some guidance on a pre build FDM that will satisfy my needs for a start. Something that is user friendly preferably and can be used for high end prints that can be sold. My budget is 500€-600€.

I should add at this point that this isn't something that I want to try. Im going all in, CAD/CAM and generally designing is what I loved most from my studies and want to make a leaving eventually from it

Some other questions:

• Is multi colored printers worth it for my purpose?

• Is it best to buy a pre build or stick to the RatRig that I started on?

• What is the sweet spot on bed dimensions if i want to be sure that I can cover larger orders or bigger parts, 300x300, 400x400, something else?

• Should I increase/decrease my budget for my first printer?

• What more questions should I have about this operation/project that I need to research on?

I kept sketching separate lamps and they never felt related. So I threw it out and started from one rule instead, vertical fluting at a fixed pitch, and let the shape change around it. A wide cone, a slim cylinder, and a half cone for the wall.

Renders for now while I finish the print profiles. The fluting is the whole design, everything else is just proportion.

It would be my first time using a 3d printer but I'm looking to see to buy one for small props and helmets, and another for large or bulky armor.

I got an ender 3 pro as a gift in around December. Since then nothing but problems. I think I've spent more time fixing it than actually printing. I came here to ask what the next upgrade for me should be, the bambu lab a1 for 300 or the sparkx i7 for 200 (both non combo versions). I've tried to do research on the sparkx i7 but it seems that every video I see about it is sponsored. Please leave your recommendations below much appreciated 👍
