Custom Car groups in the area?

There are some old posts in the sub but I was hoping to learn some new (hopefully) info. Anyone have e info about car groups in brevard?

I’ve found some stuff on Facebook, Google, et al. But was hoping to get some input from folks before sticking my neck out.

I’m 23 been in brevard (Melbourne) for about 2 years. I bought a 92 Vette back in March and was hoping to find a group to meet some folks and talk cars etc.

Not into the hole “takeover” scene but at the same time don’t really want to spend the entire time with folks 30+ years older than me (no offense to our older car lovers. I appreciate y’all just want to also find some younger folk as well.)

Bringing first time visitor

Hello all!

I grew up in Melbourne Beach but moved away about 15 years ago. I visit my parents a few times a year.

I’m bringing a friend (46M) down for a long weekend and am trying to think of ways to fill the time. So far we have:

Friday dinner at D’Jons

Saturday: Long Doggers for lunch, putz around DT Melbourne, Meg’s for dinner

Sunday: Blueberry Muffin for breakfast, beach, dinner with a friend

Monday: ???

Looking for substitutions or spots to add, I’ve been out of the loop for some time. TIA!

Event Queer Bowling Group

Would anyone be interested in getting a group together for bowling at Shore Lanes in Palm Bay? I was looking to do their "rave bowling" (my name for it) but was hoping to find some cool, like-minded people who wanted to join.

From their site
Saturday ~ X-Factor Bowling (8:00pm – Midnight) Enjoy our X-Factor Lightshow — bowling a whole new way with the lanes pulsing, pins glowing, and music from your favorite artists! $17.00 per guest for three hours of unlimited bowling + $2.00 Shoe Rental

My son is supposed to start 1st grade at Odyssey, but after a really rough kindergarten year and summer (including being expelled from their summer camp because of behavioral issues), I’m questioning whether it’s still the right fit.

He’s incredibly bright and loves math, space, and science, but he has ADHD and is currently being evaluated for autism. Academics aren’t the issue, he struggles more with emotional regulation and gets overwhelmed in larger, busy classrooms.

We’re trying to decide whether to stay at Odyssey with an IEP/504 plan, transfer to Turner Elementary which I’ve heard has more resources for ESE, or apply to Learning Forward STREAM Academy.

I’d especially love to hear from parents of kids with ADHD, autism, or other ESE needs, particularly from these 3 schools, but also open to other options.

Any honest feedback (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Wednesday- Busta Tax Cap & the Band Back Together

Jul 22, 2026

What the County Commission did yesterday was put a knife in the backs of taxpayers, and the way it was done, Julius Caesar could not have been more surprised.

It’s not that we weren’t expecting this, especially after the governor appointed the Church Lady to the interim term in the County Commission D-1 seat. The fix was in and it was none other than Thad the Impaler employing his old ways to advocate for a major tax increase. The rest of them aren’t off the hook. There was nary a sound of objection nor a suggestion of cutting any budget items before this potential increase was thrust upon us.

The Property Tax amendment has these officials afraid, afraid they’ll have to do their jobs and actually work on a budget instead of just throwing money around like it’s theirs. We’ll dig into this and show you how the vote at the end of yesterday’s commission meeting was not just busting the tax cap, but blowing it up entirely.
